Good win..Good play from the young ones....I appreciate Duhon's mentoring and guidance with Douglas...I admire that..We have often criticized his play this season and his inability to keep it together for long stretches,,,but at least he is mature enough to do the right thing. I am also happy he has not been whining and pouting..even on the bench he is playing the good soldier..

I see the similarities you mention between Ward and Douglas and the differences you pointed out as well. Douglas is one of those guys who is really really quick afoot with the ball in his hands..

Ah Boston...I m glad Nate is outta here. I hope they play hard and compete. Boston will talk trash and push and shove to try to intimidate. The Knicks may benefit from any insight House might be alse to provide..

It's a gamble no matter how one looks at it.

I agree that players on the other side of 30 shouldn't be pursued.

So the Knicks selling points are CAP SPACE and playing in the Garden?

Just remember that the NBA salary cap has limits that preclude more than two max free agents or a max and two players beyond the MLE.

I'm still not very much convinced that cap space and New York will make up for a team that will have cob webs as a result of the shuffle to clear cap space.

It's a matter of opinoin and not of a personal vendetta.

Hmmmmmmmm the Bosh rumor is tough. I like he is somewhat a better all around player. I'd like to see some toughness out of him. He played very good d in the olympics though. I am slightly worried on how he would handle the NYC media. At this point I am leaning towards yes...and maybe Camby could be convinced to sign(on the cheap) as a rebounder paint patroller and garbage man. Bosh and Cambyman would make a good frontcourt.

yeah hopefully with time an repetition TD can learn to run the offense and direct traffic more efficiently. I love how he pushes the tempo and pressures the other teams 1... he's got a good motor.

Yes re: Douglas I think DW did well in buying that pick...I would not be surprised if DW buys another pick this for summers draft or makes a deal that includes a pick in the upcoming draft. Douglas should be even better next year because of his comfort level.

RE: Walker..i like his on court demeanor smooth but a competitior (sp) a few weeks back I saw him guarding Rudy Gay pretty well esp. with ball denial. His long range stroke has improved since he got her(I wonder if Atkinson or Webber) is working with him.... He should try to block shots and attack the rim more of the dribble, also want him to improve his rebounding numbers... He's got oh ah type of hops...he would be a great energy guy off the bench on a good squad. Hopefully he works hard this summer

"needs more time with the pick n roll though"

absolutely right. that's the one thing that Duhon gave us that we need Toney to do these last 15 or so games, run that pick and roll with lee and harrington while pushing the ball and playing good d.

I think Walker and Douglas are keepers.

I read somewhere that Toronto would accept Lee in a sign and trade for Bosh. Would you pull the trigger if you were Donnie Walsh?

Bosh averages very few blocks per game for a guy his size. He's no better at blocking shots than Lee. Lee has upgraded his offense, which catapulted him onto the all-star team this year, but he still leaves something to be desired on the other side of the floor. If only he played defense like Jared Jeffries, then he'd be a cornerstone to rebuild a franchise on.

chandler and walker are too short to compete with mavs down low for the rebound.

toney douglas looks good, 7 points in the first quarter.
