12 25 2011 Boston Celtics at New York Knicks

by knicksdefense on December 25, 2011

So our DVR didn’t record the last 6 minutes of Melo going off in the 4th.

This is what you should have seen:

Annoying to hear Kerr still bitter and hateful toward Amar’e and the Knicks. Get a life.

I think Charles Barkley is right about the Knicks needing a real point guard. Toney isn’t a playmaker yet, though he is a good scoring guard.

Shumpert has talent and I think is best utilized off the bench this year. He’s out 2-6 weeks now with a knee injury.

How long before Baron Davis laces them up for New York? He is a difference maker if healthy when the playoffs come around.

Until then: Does Amar’e still have his explosiveness after the back injury last year and gaining 20 pounds of muscle in the off-season? I saw him catch a pass he would have slammed any other year but tonight it was a lay-up.

Good win today. Not having Paul P. obviously hurt the C’s.

Glad the Knicks hung in there and pulled it out…
It was the kind of game they would have lost last year.
Hopefully they wont be spent to compete on wed. Nite

So happy to be back in the midst of the NBA and my beloved Knicks. The only thing that mattered on Sunday was a Win against the Celtics. Don’t care that Paul Pierce didn’t play. Don’t care that the defense was terrible in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. They absolutely had to win that game.

Amar’e is a different player now, but I don’t think that’s a bad thing. He will stretch defenses, allowing optimal floor spacing for Melo to slash and for Chandler to gain rebounding position when he’s not setting high screens. If a team tries to cheat on Amar’e, he stills has the skill set to punish inside.

I like the signing of Jeremy Lin. At the very least, he will push Toney Douglas in practice to take care of the ball.

Yes, Lin seems as though he may have some good skills as a playmaker, and a drive kick type…

Paul Pierce wasn’t playing . They just lost to Golden State. Mike D has got to coach better then that or we”ll have Phil Jackson by Feb.
