Say it aint so.
Wait, it is so. We’re beating Philly right now with 2 minutes remaining in the fourth.
Toney Douglas is shining in the starting point guard slot. From a distance, he resembles another point guard that used to bring it up for the orange and blue: Charlie Ward.
But upon further inspection, Douglas is more athletic than Ward, is a better scorer plus he has a longer frame. Charlie Ward was a more true point guard than Douglas at this point, but, Douglas has developed his point guard skills over his rookie season. When Douglas was drafted he looked more like another former Knick: Fred Jones–an undersized two on a team with too many undersized twos.
Gallo is also playing better…
This could get interesting up in Boston when we visit Nate Robinson and the former NBA Champions.
Even if we don’t make the playoffs I’ll still be interested to watch this team if it means the development of young talent such as Bill Walker, Toney Douglas and Danilo Gallinari.

Good win..Good play from the young ones….I appreciate Duhon’s mentoring and guidance with Douglas…I admire that..We have often criticized his play this season and his inability to keep it together for long stretches,,,but at least he is mature enough to do the right thing. I am also happy he has not been whining and pouting..even on the bench he is playing the good soldier..
I see the similarities you mention between Ward and Douglas and the differences you pointed out as well. Douglas is one of those guys who is really really quick afoot with the ball in his hands..
Ah Boston…I m glad Nate is outta here. I hope they play hard and compete. Boston will talk trash and push and shove to try to intimidate. The Knicks may benefit from any insight House might be alse to provide..
