they need to step it up big-time. Our veterans are not getting it done and if that continues to be the case, they should just develop the younger players and sit the veterans.

they’re not quick and they’re not fast. they don’t hustle. they can’t dribble! they don’t move the ball on offense and the can’t play the pick and roll on defense.
dantoni talked in the presser about how the bucks were faster and more physical. THE BUCKS! i used to have faith in dantoni, but after seeing brandon jennings and after seeing the knicks, who have spent the last months talking about ‘continuity’, play like they just met each other, i am having serious doubts. how could he think this mess is about the rotation? finding the right mix? maybe dantoni needs to own up to the fact that he hasn’t figured out how to get them to play hard and play as a team from the opening whistle. mama mia!

My old coach used to say that in basketball, you can’t teach speed and/or height, you either have it, or you don’t… so what do the knicks do if they’re so slow?

One of the reasons they are struggling from outside so much is because they are no threat to go to the basket. defenders can play all the way up on them and not worry about it. it’s not only that they are slow. they don’t have anyone on the team with really sick handle.
nate coming back and playing fast, controlled basketball is their only chance. like you said, you can’t teach speed. duhon isn’t going to get any faster.
