Knicks will meet with Jason Kidd on Wednesday
The Knicks continue their search for a new point guard to run the D’Antoni attack when they meet with former cross town rival Jason Kidd on Wednesday. For years, free agent Kidd got the best of the New York Knicks as a Net, does Kidd have anything left in the tank to help the Knicks reach the playoffs for the first time in many years?
Would the signing of Kidd be a white flag surrender in the effort to steer Ricky Rubio to New York?

I dont feel as if would be a surrender on the Rubio front but I think the fact that this team wants to make a leap into playoff contention this year, it must not be overlooked that veteran leadership makes it more possible. esp from a winner
I have never been a huge Kidd fan, but that said i respect his talent and one must recognize how he flat-out makes players better… much better…. he does what a point guard is supposed to do and if he were at his best he would probably put this roster(plus whoever else is added or goes) in the best position to overachieve
meaning he gets cats the ball in their comfort zone and where they can do the most damage
SaipanKnickster, 100% cosign on your sentiments regarding Kidd.
Still, he killed us the past how many years as a Net? It was embarrasing because after Marbury was duped into the “are you the best point guard in the NBA” question, Kidd took every opportunity to talk smack on the Knicks and back it up with the victory at the end of the day.
The newest thing going around is that Nate will accept the qualifying offer and sign with the Knicks to a 1-year.
Also, Brandon Jennings was filmed saying “fuck the Knicks” and talking smack about Chris Duhon. Somewhere, David Stern is cringing. Somebody needs to go to a rookie induction class right about now.
Right now I’m dreaming big.
These are the dog days of summer for Knicks fans, we don’t even have the summer league right now.
Realistically, Rubio may be overseas for a few years.
With Jordan Hill and Toney Douglas we picked up insurance for Lee and Nate if they get offers they can’t refuse.
So right now I’m thinking:
Kidd in 2009
LeBron and Bosh in 2010.
That’s three Gold Metal Olympians following their coach to New York.
Just bloggin’ of course.
You could easily substitute one aging point guard in Kidd for another in Nash.
Again, just bloggin’.
At least Nash may not be a coach killer!
I am still anxoius to see what Lebron will do this summer if anything!
I think Kidd has plenty left to make an impact here.
Kidd in 2009 would be a welcome addition!
