And the Next New York Knick is…

by knicksdefense on June 25, 2009

If you read this in time, let me know who you think it will be.

I’m betting we walk away with Stephen Curry tonight, but with all the changes going into the draft–Shaq in Cleavland, Vince Carter in Orlando, Jamal Crawford in ATL, and let’s not forget we just bought the 29th pick at the bottom of the first round, who knows what the Knicks will look like after it is all said and done.

Tonight we can take John Coltrane GIANT STEPS tonight towards 2010 success, or we can take baby steps, either way, good luck to our Knicks, may the do the right thing when it counts…

Let’s see if there isn’t a spike in season ticket sales in a few hours…

i’ll miss david lee, but i’ll miss michael most of all

3 saipanknickster June 25, 2009 at 8:43 pm

I’ll miss young Micheal most God bless his family.
Starks4 good call looks like Lee could be gone. I wonder if the Knicks will still do the Darko trade now?

Jordan Hill and Toney Douglas, welcome to the New York Knicks

5 knicksdefense June 25, 2009 at 10:39 pm

darko welcome to the knicks.
now go block some shots for us.
q you should have been out of the league two years ago.
i love your competitive spirit and professionalism, but you had to go. chandler makes you obsolete.

PG Duhon
SG Chandler (could play the four but we need him to play the two)
C Eddy “won’t show up again ’til his next contract year” Curry
SF Al Harrington
PF Jordan Hill

PG Larry Hughes
SG Tony Douglas
C Darko
SF Danilo Gallinari
PF Chris Wilcox

Lee – probably gone we can’t afford him
Nate – probably gone we can’t win if he has the ball for any significant amount of time.

the team as it is now is headed straight back to the lottery.
walsh better make some more moves if he wants to finally get the knicks back into the playoffs.

well it’s a start lets hope the rest of the summer is good and Gallo is healthy

8 knicksdefense June 25, 2009 at 11:49 pm

why did the t-wolves take FOUR POINT GUARDS???

what sense does that make?

give us rubio, take what you will from us. we have the coach that goes with that player, not the T-wolves. make the trade.

9 saipanknickster June 26, 2009 at 1:17 am

yeah they are up to something

10 knicksdefense June 26, 2009 at 7:34 pm

my brother bilz thinks they’re going to do a trade involving lee and rubio. I know it would be complicated, but I hope he’s on to something.

I love #42, don’t get me wrong, but we need a real quarterback that understand’s mike d’s system, and I think that guy could be rubio.

the farther in the past the 2009 draft becomes, the less likely this is to occur, of course.

The Twolves have al jefferson and kevin love [not to mention craig smith, etan thomas, and sheldon williams]. why would they want david lee? they might want wilson chandler, though.

12 saipanknickster June 26, 2009 at 11:38 pm

Hmmmmmmmmmmm. Kahn maybe forced by Rubio and his team into a game of chicken

13 saipanknickster June 27, 2009 at 4:39 pm

I think walsh already knows what his former protege will do re Rubio. i mean he helped the guy(Kahn in MinnY) cut his teeth so Walsh has gotta know how his guy is thinking and why he picked 2 guards back to back.

Starks4ThreeYes made a great point they’re stacked at the 4 with jefferson and K-Love, so if Walsh wants to make a deal, it probably won’t include lee, right?

Who does that leave SaipanKnickster? Our young prodigy named Wilson Chandler?

Some of the beat writers are mentioning that Stephen Curry was the guy they were really after, and quite frankly GS is in the same boat as Minny, they now have redundancies after the draft.

everyone always says to take the best player available regardless of position or what you already have. Apparently that’s what the warriors and t-wolves were trying to do when they made their respective choices.

looking forward to the summer league starting next month, hope our young guys are all able to play (gallo, watch out for tractor trailor if you’re suiting up).

strange day in nyc today. there was finally some sun out, and it was warm and bright, then all of a sudden the monsoon rains come back and kick everybody’s butts off the street.

This has been a very strange month around here. could it end with a knicks trade that will put my butt in a season ticket seat at the garden?

Walsh, show me something that will motivate me to commit to the garden instead of my 42″ HDTV this season.

WE NEED PLAYOFF ACTION IN NEW YORK, and I’m not talking about the Nets here.

15 saipanknickster June 27, 2009 at 9:26 pm

I actually think that Kahn is ready to wait it out with Rubio(they drafted Flynn right?) Also Minnesota does not have the same win now pressure that some teams are facing. I could definitely be wrong but i do not think that a Rubio deal is in the immediate offing. I also feel that walsh will not mortgage the farm for such a deal.

I doubt that gallo will play in the summer league.I think he supposedly just starting shooting.

yes we did have some tough weather for most of June.

I no longer live on Saipan and havn’t for a number of years, but choosing that name was sort of a reminder of the 1999 playoff team that came out of nowhere and I rooted for the team from afar. i was actually stateside visiting family during the playoffs and heard the Larry Johnson shot over the car radio while in Jackson Mississpi.

But I am originally from the BX and lived there until reecntly and am now in northeast westchester county.Somewhat the same weather but several degrees cooler at night because of the Hudson and the higher elevation.

I hope there some kinda deal and/or signing that alters the landscape and talent level of the team. Ahhhhhhh the Milicic trade. it seems as though he’s been kinda done since he’s been here. i am sure sparring with Marbury and dealing with his ways drains one as well. If anybody can get something out of Milicic it’s D’Antoni, because he focuses on what a guy can do and tries to maximize that as opposed to dwelling on the limitations somewhat like the NYC media, and LB.
he can shoot pass and move for his size and he is still young, hopefully his spirit is not too broken if at all.

If Hill and Douglas contribute and Milicic finds his fire and stride we could be closer to a playoff berth and we could be there with an trade or move for a All-Star type player!

As far as the playoffs we need that for sure it will make us more attractive to the 2010 guys

As always good to read you…Peace
