I’m not going to change my point of view on this most recent Marbury defiance, but I’ve read on the Knicks blogosphere that the Knicks are doing Marbury dirty.
Maybe they have a point.
I’m just sick and tired of the guy and all his selfish baggage and wish for his tenure as a knick to come to a close.
I’m glad Jamal and Randolph are gone, althought it meant this season’s playoff hopes are now in question when they seemed like a lock.
The bottom line is the Knicks over the past few years were considered stockpiled with untradeable players. If the clippers picked up Randolph thinking they could get him to be happy coming off the bench, I have a feeling that Walsh can get a taker for E__y Curry, (for all of you who continue to diss on my man Mike D’Antoni and his revolutionary system).
Again, lets review.
Crawfor_ – gone.
Ran_olph – considered by many untradeable – gone.
Balkman, a talent with some serious fundamental diffieciencies on the basketball court – gone.
Collins – another first round pick that could have been used more wisely – gone. If isiah picked you in the first round, there is a 50-50 chance you can’t hit the broad side of a barn with a basketball.
Isiah Lor_ Thomas – gone. (Marv Albert emphatic “YES”)
Stephon “nothing is as important in life as me, myself and I,” Marbury – ALMOST gone.
Walsh is doing EVERYTHING I would have done.
Walsh is holding off on buying out Marbury because he doesn’t want to pay full price. That’s fine. This team has burned money for the past decade, if not longer.
Fiscal responsibility is something new at MSG, much like their .500 record.
I’m used to a .230 record the past four years.
Continue to roll up your sleeves Walsh. Do the dirty work Walsh.
Donnie, where some “Knick Fans” are calling for your head after only about five months on the job, I am astounded at how much you’ve been able to accomplish in such a relatively short period, considering the meaningless efforts of the past eight years.
Here is my litmus test on the recent events:
I’m betting that Knicks fans unhappy with the Knicks as of today are mostly Isiah loyalists. They were so happy to see the Knicks win some games with Mike D’Antoni at the helm coaching Isiah’s guys. They could say some shit like, “well, that Isiah, he may have been a bad coach in New York (they always add that he was only a bad coach in New York), but he sure was an excellent GM.
Bottom line is D’Antoni didn’t want Crawford and Randolph, and they don’t want Marbury either.
They don’t want big numbers with poor records, bad attitudes and mammoth contracts that approach infinity. They want team basketball players. They don’t want the eddy currys, they want basketball warriors.
All I can do is wait.
LGK!

anytime you can get a Balkman instead of a Rondo
OR
anytime you can get a Fred Jones over Tayshaum Prince or Boozer
is a dream come true for the almighty ‘great eye for talent’ Looney-esta boy.
lest not we forget, N8 instead for Monta Ellis or even better, Frye over Bynum
“Marbury offered to take $1 million less than his $21.9-million salary in a buyout and Walsh declined.
It was the first time Marbury came off his demand to get “every penny” of his salary, which indicates he is starting to get serious about getting out of this situation. But the Knicks want him to forfeit more, and he might be ready to negotiate.”
