Ewing Jr. spotted hanging around Knicks practice facility

by knicksdefense on November 16, 2008

Could it be, old Donnie Walsh could have told Jr. not to go to Europe or any place else should a roster spot suddenly free up?

I just might start to like Roberson again if Ewing Jr. came back aboard team resurgence.

Tough loss Knicks D.

Maybe one day the Rooster will be the next Dirk.

Hey, did Kelly T. replace Kenny Smith or Clyde?

yo Knicks D:

Al Trautwig just said “taking points off the cock” on MSG.

KnicksD,

I got nothin’ but love for Ewing Jr.’He had me at hello,he had me at hello’:-).No really he got my attention that last game against the Nets, when he bought the energy,defensive,3-pointer,THE DUNK and hustle to get the team back in the game.He has good work ethics, like his father,he starts shooting 3 hours before each game……he is a keeper.

Does anyone else think that Mikey may have to extend his rotation to 8 or 9 when we have the players to do so (and I’m not talkin’ Malik or Roberson) ? It seems to me that the team is running out of gas in the end of each half. Its becoming a pattern. They race out to a lead in the 1st and 3rd only to have to hold on for dear life in the 2nd and 4th. If they are not going to play defense, I think Mike will have to go deeper into the bench to insure that guys have fresh legs for the last 6 minutes of each half. Thoughts ?

the running out of gas observation is certainly valid

I keep hearing about how good Thomas is at signing free agents and finding players that people overlooked and he is, Chandler, Lee, Nate and Zach. Well USA Today has an article (Nov. 20 Page 11C) that discusses Chris Mullin finding gems who are now either starting or seeing significant minutes for the Warriors. And the Warriors are a competitive team unlike the Knicks have been.

Jackie, you bring the goods, but i really hope you never use Trautwig and cock in the same sentence ever again.

JohnQ, it’s not D’Antoni’s way. Your observation IS completely valid, but i’d prefer a relatively consistent rotation with the defined roles and growing chemistry it brings, than the marginal extra endurance an Anthony Roberson or Malik Rose might provide. Jeffries is coming back soon, and i think he will help provide the stability and depth our rotation needs.

Ed, if i can ever figure out how to make money out of beating a dead horse, you’ll be the first guy i hire.
