Nothing
Nothing to write about with regard to the Knicks, but I was sick of seeing the old post so I’ll just add this and continue waiting for either something to happen, or for training camp to arrive. I hope it is the former case because the Knicks as they are currently constructed are in for a long season.
OK, maybe a short season: 82 games and no playoffs with this roster is more likely.
The 2010 plan is the opposite of the “pull the band aid off quickly” syndrome: things may get better down the road for the Knicks, but LeBron this and D-Wade that is all at the expense of the now.
Anyone have season tickets for this year?

I’m with you on this.I hope something or rather, someone(s) changes before the season starts.I know walsh would like to wheel and deal, but with those super large contracts,it’s very hard.
Let’s keep our fingers crossed.
Do you think that Zach to Memphis was a good deal?
The NBA’s drafted FIFTH player selected and your very own new Wolf is the one chosen for the cover of this season’s EA Sports college-basketball video game, named NCAA Basketball 09 appropriately enough.
Derrick Rose, Michael Beasley, O.J. Mayo aren’t on the cover. Love is the guy.
Love turned 20 on Sunday.
“A late birthday present,” he said of what he called the “honor” of being the cover boy on a game for XBox360 and PlayStation 2 and 3 that he, well, loves to play (he’s partial to controlling his beloved Bruins and North Carolina).
Love said he was proud to be the first Bruin chosen for the cover. What, Bill Walton never made it?
“I don’t think they had video games back then,” he said.
Maybe Danilo can play Love on a video game?

A second opinion on Nilo’s back problems and whether he’ll be ready for training camp.

Could (should) a Star-bury be reborn here?
Posted by Ira Winderman at 10:22:33 AM
Based on talk out of Indiana and New York, the Heat soon could be facing two decisions in its convoluted situation at point guard.
With Indiana’s Jamaal Tinsley, the situation is pretty basic. If the Pacers are willing to take on Marcus Banks, a deal quickly could be consummated. If the Pacers remain focused on Udonis Haslem, the conversations will remain cursory.
With New York’s Stephon Marbury, the issue is a bit more clouded. Unlike Indiana, which insists it will not buy out Tinsley at anything short of pennies on the dollar, New York apparently is moving closer to an outright release of Marbury, at least that’s the latest from The New York Times.
If Marbury is waived, the Heat would be first in position to make a waiver claim, because of its league-worst 2007-08 record. Of course, lacking the cap space or financial interest in such a move, the Heat, like each of the other 28 remaining teams, would have to wait until Marbury clears waivers.
Adding Marbury in free agency would mean also remaining on the hook for Banks’ three remaining seasons, as well as having four point guards in camp, when counting Marbury, Banks, Mario Chalmers and Chris Quinn.
Common sense would say that if Marbury truly wants to regain his stature, the Heat would be the most logical landing point. Where else, perhaps beyond Indiana, would he have as solid a chance to emerge as an opening-night starter?
Yet is that where a team of the future should be headed? It’s a tough call. At a point in the post-Shaq era when the Heat is trying to get everything to again be about team, is adding a veteran trying to resurrect his personal star the way to go?
A tough call? Certainly. But one the Heat soon might have to make.
Yeah, the thing that no one really wants to talk about is that Marbury’s stats are going to blow up this year. No matter what, whether they keep him or release him, the Knicks will look bad. Can you imagine with Marbury in the Eastern Conference with Miami, Indiana or the Celtics, every basket will be a slap in Dolan’s face.
I can imagine that, just to be spiteful Dolan would love for Marbury to sit at home away from the game he loves. But that is a fight with the NBAPA that Stern would not allow. I am sure he wants this problem to disappear too. I wonder if Dolan was able to cut a deal with Stern for making all these changes. Do we get to buy some draft picks – a deal he gave in the past to make the purchase of the Cavaliers attractive.
