Hope all the defenders from all over have a safe and happy 4th of July.
This is our country; we may be going through some hard times right now with the war, but I still believe in our greatness and I look forward to better days in the future.

Duhon signs with us for the full mid-level
thanks for breaking the story, George M.
My mom called to tell me; she saw it on the news. Being a Knicks fan is part of being in the family.
A new era of Knicks basketball seems to be starting. First a top-tier international coach, Mike D, then a new razor-sharp shooting forward, Gallinari, and now a new coach K-approved point guard, Duhon.
What else does the summer have in store for our Knicks?
Anything else we do has to be done either through a buy out or a trade. Like you said, we used the full MLE, and we have been capped out for so many years. We need to try and move ZBo or Curry next, if possible.
A player will be moved ….betcha its not David Lee….. but lets talk Defense, ….we gonna need them stops in the 4th Quarter Knicks fans, or disappointment will be our best friend again next season….. unless we can run teams off the floor, which of course is D’Antoni’s plan……
Duhon story
And another Duhon story.
I’m excited about this!!This shows that the team is moving in a new direction and other players see it and want to be a part of it.
Syd, DLT, happy 4th.
I hope they move crawford now. we have too many bulls on this team, plus I don’t want our starting backcourt to be career .39% from the field. I know they’ll both shoot much better under D’Antoni.
this is just the beginning…
Hope all had an enjoyable holiday.
@ DLT
Clearing out the ill wind that follows the Baller formerly known as Marbury is certainly a solid move by the current regime.
@ KnicksD
I’m not for just trading away all the former Bulls on our squad just yet and just for the sake of reducing their number on our squad, that is unless it can be proven that all these ex Bulls are part of a big conspiracy to undermine the Knicks from within. But frankly I think bad coaching and bad general management on the trade and free agent signing side by the former regime is the culprit here.
Anyway IMHO I think D’antoni will have to make exceptions to his short rotations, while at the same time not falling into the same haphazard substitution patterns that plagued the Brown and Thomas coaching regimes. I say this because I tend to still believe that there is talent on this team, and their trade value needs to be rehabilitated before we just pony up and trade them for a sach of beans.
There are of course playes who might not shine as strongly as others in the “D’antoni System” but who knows if D’antoni is truly the innovative coaching genuis he is claimed be then he might find a way of incorporating their supposedly “ill fitting” games.
This year and the tenure of this regime seems to me to be about deck shuffling and pt juggling with the goal being the rehabilitation of our beloved basketball team.
Peaceout peeps!
Good AM Defenders! Happy belated July 4th ladies and gents!
On the surface, this does not appear to be one of those WOW moves, but it is a very solid addition to a team of selfish but talented BBALLERS. Duhon will play his position, stay in his lane and keep from swerving; he is a TEAM/ROLE player. Just want the BBALL Doctor ordered(especially defensively).
We still need some Length up front, that would also provide rebounding, Strong/Physical interior D, and a few blocks per game. On a couple of THREADS I believe DLT proposed a scenario that would land the KNICKS Odom, BMILLER, and C MIHM. I would prefer Mbenga verses Mihm. He’s more athletic and he suits the new scheme much better than Mihm. And, if it was possible, I would still look for that YOUNG/FUTURE PG in the league that has the potential to learn and run D’Antoni’s system next year. I would love to get Kyle Lowery because he has a NYC kind of game, and his heart is enormous. Or, how about the youngster Javaris Critterden(I hope I did not butcher this kat’s name). I believe in time with the right coaching he could be quite effective and proficient. Plus, I love his size as an athletic PG….
I’m just saying…. Have a great Saturday Defenders! KD, you’re still doing your thang Dawg, and LONGEVITY is Prima Fascia Evidence that you’ve done some things right…None of US are perfect Dawg! But, there’s nothing wrong for reaching…LOL
ONE LOVE!
Keep it POPPIN!
