Harewood

The Lakers get Artest and Balkman. Artest is a shut down perimeter defender. Balkman could be groomed to use his high energy level to be Artest heir aparent.

Why would Lakers take that Odom for Randolph based deal? WHat does Randolph bring that they need. They too need tougher defense. I'm curious about the reasoning.

Yes, I have read that Walsh is actually shopping Jamal........Zach and EC too.I would not want Cuttino Mobley in exchange. They both make about the same amount of money,Mobley's contract ends a year earlier than Crawford. But,if their plan is to clear money for LBJ, I don't like that plan! What if he doesn't choose the Knicks?
2 years of waste for nothing.

Check out this trade I ran through the RealGM Trade checker.

New York ...

Trades to LA Zach Randolph and Ronaldo Balkman

gets from LA Odom, and Mihm

NY Trades to Sacramento...

David Lee, Malik Rose, and Jared Jefferies

gets Mike Miller from Sacramento

Sacramento fowards to LA

Ron Artest

LA Fowards to Sacramento

Trevor Ariza.

I believe this trade makes sense for all involved but please smack me down if you disagree.

Here's the RealGM TradeChecker Link

http://www.realgm.com/src_tradechecker/4/

Perhaps We can try to keep Balkman as a safetynet in case Wilson Chandler isn't 100 percent.

Feedback suggestion?

whats up DLT Knicks? I wonder if Golden State will match that offer from the clippers. there was an article published today that the clippers' second choice after baron davis was/is Jamal Crawford. think walsh is actively shopping jamal?

off topic:

why does ron artest always sound so conflicted? one day after not opting out, he regrets it?? What's wrong with his decision making process? sounds like billy donovan.

It seems that Baron Davis has agreed to join The Clippers. That would probably force GSW to hold on to Monta Ellis.

Hey, I'm on board with Duhon if it works. I don't think he will take the first offer of 2years-3million(half the MLE)seeing he was making 3.248million last year.Other teams could offer him a longer deal.We need to start higher(4million).

Unless you can get a 7-0 starter at center who can get you at least 15 and 10 or a point guard who can score 15-20 points per game and 8 to ten assists per game, I wouldn't trade Lee. Thomas built a flawed Knicks team. Too many forwards, lazy and overrated centers Eddy and Jerome and a point guard (who thinks he's the best guard in NYC, but isn't even the best guard on 33 street in NYC.

the reason I have a problem with Berman saying Lee could be used to get Ellis is because they already have Biendris, who is almost a taller, longer, clone of what David Lee does on the basketball court.
