Also check ESPN Chad Ford’s latest Mock draft (I believe it is version 7.0) in which he notes that David Lee’s agent contacted Memphis to inform them that he would not resign with them if he were traded there.

Lee snafued the trade. I can’t say I blame him. But the Knicks will have to do a sign and trade if he request to much money from the Knicks. Don’t get me wrong I love the kid but seems like Walsh has hamstrung himself with the whole 2010 the year we make contract bunk!

When asked on Wednesday if he would play for whatever NBA team selects him – instead of bolting back to Italy if he doesn’t like the destination – Gallinari put doubts to rest while expressing confidence in his draft stock.

“I will stay in the NBA for any team,” Gallinari said.

How about if he happens to fall to, say, the 20th pick?

“Yeah, I will stay, but I don’t think I will go to twenty,” he revealed. “I don’t know where I will go, but not twenty.”

Not at all phased by the American culture, Danilo used impressive English to compare the United States to his homeland of Italy.

“Things are completely different. It’s like Milan and New York. In Milan the biggest building is like the smallest one here [referring to New York],” Gallinari mused.

“In Italy there’s one journalist, while here there is ten,” he added.

He has spoken with fellow Italian Andrea Bargnani on occasion, but the topic is rarely the NBA.

“We haven’t talked much about the game, but he doesn’t think I will have problems bringing my game here. We are in touch with each other, but we talk more about other stuff,” Danilo admitted.

He seems a little less sure of himself than Bargnani.

“I know what I can do in Europe, but I don’t know what I can do here yet. I hope to bring my game to America,” he beamed.

Not surprisingly, Gallinari often kept tabs on the NBA game while playing at home in Europe.

“I like Rip Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince. Paul Pierce is a player I like as well,” Danilo said.

A certain Most Valuable Player, though, takes the cake.

“My favorite player in Kobe Bryant,” he added.

This is the 3rd trade that has gone down prior to the draft.

All I can do is hope that the Knicks land a trade that will get the organization the 3rd slot or the 5th pick.

Let’s hope the Knicks have some mojo in this draft week wheeling and dealing!
