@KnicksD

Percentage of hops left in VC=65%,on a good day and NOT for the whole game.AND that number was based on last year. The New York Knicks will always draw crowds in the seats. We don't need yesterday's news to do so.VC has 1 or 2 "so-so" years left.

Tman, how do you think Heinrich would fair at the point in D'Antoni's system?

also, agreed on "TJ Ford is a nice player, but he gets hurt more than he plays, damaged goods."

but its like Wilson Chandler, I'm thinking since they're still young they can bounce back from injury and still produce.

Kevin Love is Paul Milsap/Silas with an outside shot, not a bad thing. His center of gravity is low like Barkley, 255lb and he thinks the game, also not a bad thing.Remember he's a freshman.Edie Curry's weight issue has us gun shy. This kid is for real. You don't go to the Final Four on potential.Look at the upside!Like the jump shooting Indiana kid too/a lot like Ben Gordon, but you're gonna have to wait on him too. What does make some kind of sense is to trade down and then make a trade for Kurt Heinrich, Chicago won't need him if they go Rose(That's a mistake for them because they have Heinrich and are ready to make a push with Beasley). But Heinrich can make D'Antoni's offense work. Not the fastest guy but a good decision maker and a tough defender. After the first 4 or 5 guys it's just a guessing game based on potential. That's what gets guys fired.D'Antoni understands you can't win consistently with rooks.Look for some kind of trade.Hopefully, it won't be done in desperation.Walsh has been patient so far. That's good.Do you really believe he'll bring back Artest, the guy who single handedly destroyed his championship contending Pacers no matter how much he may personally like the guy.Too great a risk factor for him.If Artest implodes so does Walsh's career and legacy. That would be a very ballsy move on his part.I like it!TJ Ford is a nice player, but he gets hurt more than he plays, damaged goods.Trade for Heinrich, if possible. He ain't happy there anyway. If Love/Mayo are gone look for a trade or trade down.Augustine is not The Answer, nuff said. He'll take time.If he is all that he won't be there at 6 anyway.Draft Love, trade for Heinrich!LGK

eddy curry, 29th best center in the league last season.

http://www.sportsline.com/nba/playerrankings/regularseason/C

and the previous year, he was trying to make the all-star team when he was the first, second and third options offensively, being force-fed the ball.

two top ten lottery picks for him?

i wonder how he'll fit in d'antoni's system. all depends on his conditioning.

this one is funny, they don't even mention that the knicks might need to upgrade their PG soon:

http://www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnform.aspx?c=sportsnetwork&page=nba/news/news.aspx?id=4158525

check out the quote from alan:

http://www.nba.com/draft2008/overview/nyk.html

with that bit about wilson chandler, he should have mentioned that he injured his knee (a la Mardy Collins) in extra minutes towards the end of the season. that might have something to do with selecting an anthony randolph or a Gallinari over a guard. it is possible.

anthony randolph
zach randolph
randolph morris

yet there would probably be only one randolph on the knicks by november.

Agree with you on Russell Robinson, Tman!!

He's also a NYC kid...Rice HS..not that that matters, but his defensive toughness is definitely something we could use.

"Quote above is Kevin Love, a FRESHMAN with a brain and a game.Probably will be gone by 6,but if he’s available, he’s the one!LGK"

Give cred to the C's!They look like San Anton in the mirror, except as I had noted before, San Anton was too small up front.Nocioni wasn't enuff,Elston was a dud, and, unfortunately, Kurt just got a little too old and slow.Trading Luis Scola in training camp was another huge mistake. He could of helped. They need a big forward that can do it all, and make no mistake they will find one, but not in the draft.Maybe they have another Argentinian tucked away somewhere. That's how they do.San Antone should be back one more time if Duncan is right, and he looks like he still has it.Sad part of this is we're going the other way. We're abandoning doing it "The right way" like the Spurs and C's and going for the flash and dash of the west. That makes only short term sense,MONEY, unless you can get someone to play like Nash and Stoudemire. How long did that take? and they never won the big one, only threatened. We'll see, NY is just a tough, tough place to reload, but Defense clearly wins, offense can be pretty offensive without the ONE brain.Kudos to the C's,clearly Ainge did a tremendous job bringing in a bench to support the big three.I picked them against LA,but had Detroit, another bunch of defensive underachievers since LB left,to win the east.Well, at least I had Kansas.Russell Robinson would look good deep down on our bench. He is a project, but a tough great defender with length, and he will come free!LGK

<a href="http://iptv.nyknicks.com/nyknicks/console"target="_blank" rel="nofollow">video stream</a> of some of the players the knicks have worked out in new york.

from espn:

The Knicks, Nets and Sixers are having a big group workout on Friday in New Jersey.

Joe Alexander and Roy Hibbert headline the bill. Alexander has already worked out for the Knicks and appears to be seriously in the mix, along with Russell Westbrook and Danilo Gallinari, at the No. 6 pick.

O&B, my gut tells me if the knicks do any maneuvering on draft day, it will be down, because the teams with high picks (higher than the Knicks) probably will enjoy selecting from the cream of the crop.

TheLegacy, I think TJ might do well in New York. i think he is one of those players that flourishes in the garden. I know that's what he did as a raptor against us in recent times. but i don't know what d'antoni is thinking, if he wants a completely fresh player that he can mold, or someone with some proven abilities at the one. looks like toronto is giving his spot to jose calderon. that guy is probably going to blow up even more next year with extra minutes.

Tman, I give up, who said that homie?

DLT Knicks: yeah, vince has some miles on him, what percentage of his original hops do you think he's still able to summon in the game? one of the last times i played ball i got into a discussion, somebody out there still thinks he can jump over people like frederick...

saipanknickster, I think you're right on about the two kinds of players Walsh is looking for. time will tell. too bad the knicks aren't spilling the beans about who they want, but perhaps that will work out to new york's advantage somehow when draft day comes along.

JohnQ: I haven't lost hope that Walsh will try to pickup Tom T. as the defensive coach to D'Antoni's system. The Knicks have not formally announced the full coaching staff, although we know for the most part who is not welcomed back (anyone having to do with Isiah).
