with that bit about wilson chandler, he should have mentioned that he injured his knee (a la Mardy Collins) in extra minutes towards the end of the season. that might have something to do with selecting an anthony randolph or a Gallinari over a guard. it is possible.

The Knicks, Nets and Sixers are having a big group workout on Friday in New Jersey.

Joe Alexander and Roy Hibbert headline the bill. Alexander has already worked out for the Knicks and appears to be seriously in the mix, along with Russell Westbrook and Danilo Gallinari, at the No. 6 pick.

TheLegacy, I think TJ might do well in New York. i think he is one of those players that flourishes in the garden. I know that’s what he did as a raptor against us in recent times. but i don’t know what d’antoni is thinking, if he wants a completely fresh player that he can mold, or someone with some proven abilities at the one. looks like toronto is giving his spot to jose calderon. that guy is probably going to blow up even more next year with extra minutes.

saipanknickster, I think you’re right on about the two kinds of players Walsh is looking for. time will tell. too bad the knicks aren’t spilling the beans about who they want, but perhaps that will work out to new york’s advantage somehow when draft day comes along.

JohnQ: I haven’t lost hope that Walsh will try to pickup Tom T. as the defensive coach to D’Antoni’s system. The Knicks have not formally announced the full coaching staff, although we know for the most part who is not welcomed back (anyone having to do with Isiah).
