Riley quit as Heat coach, the Bobcats just hired Larry Brown, and the New York Knicks are looking at Mike D’Antoni, Sam Mitchell, Flip Saunders and Avery Johnson, in addition to Mark Jackson.

On the Max Kellerman Show, there was a report that Mike Fratello would like to be considered- ergo interviewed- for the Knicks’s coaching vacancy.

However, in that same report, it was noted that the Knicks’s organization is not interested in securing the services of Fratello.

Hey does anyone think that either Garnett or Perkins get suspended for game 5 of Celtics v. Hawks?

Garnett for that elbow he threw at the Georgian player, and Perkins for leaving the bench.

I doubt it b/c the script is written to favor the Celtics. The Hawks winning the last two is just to throw off those who figure their is a script for the Celtics this year.

They ought to win the next two games, every NBA analyst figures that the two games Atlanta got will be the only games they’ll get in this series.

Watch Stern not suspend Garnett, the highly lauded superstar, and Perkins, while Williams of the Hawks will be suspended.

You all know about David Stern’s style of N.B.A. justice. just recall how Pierce choked Crawford, and the league never took any action.

    N.B.A.

We all know what that means!

    OBTW KnicksD

You’ll see Kid suspended but not Perkins or Garnett!

For all those who want Avery Johnson as coach, they might have their man because if Dallas goes down in the first round, Johnson might be looking for a new job.

I just don’t see why you’d want a coach who can’t get a talented team like Dallas out of the first round.

As I said, I’d take Bill Laimbeer first choice or Tom Thibodeau second choice over Mark Jackson, but I don’t think Mark Jackson is a bad choice.

Avery can’t get the Mavs out of the first round. I guess Kidd was right, Byron Scott isn’t a good coach.

Riley does this when ever the team starts to struggle, then when they start winning again, he takes over again.

Byron Scott has been voted NBA coach of the year for taking The Hornets to the playoff. Now he’s advanced two the second round beating Dallas, featuing Jason Kidd, the point guard who got him fired from NJ. I wonder what Jason Kidd thinks about that. Oh yeah, he’s too busy being a poor sport and throwing players on the court when he’s beaten.

The Dallas Mavericks fired coach Avery Johnson on Wednesday following the team’s first-round loss to New Orleans in the NBA playoffs. Please Knicks, we don’t need him. If he can’t get a talented team (Dallas) to win in the playoffs, what will he do here?

  • cant be any worse than Isiah in any event

want to read something interesting KD? Check out Alan’s blog tday and how the entire blog focusses on knocking Peaceman off his reverse-racist soap box. You were so right about that dude it aint even funny.

  • JohnQ, thanks for being one of the valued few who are free-thinking enough to still post here.

With regards to that matter, however, it is best to let dead dogs lie.

Knicks look like they might get D’Antoni or Mark Jackson.

ANYONE would do a better job than Isiah.

    LB won 23 games TANKING.

Isiah? he tried his best and won 23 games.

Garbage. I remember we had won 19 games or so with six to go, and the deranged were cheering the knicks on to win some more. what kind of “knicks fan” is that supposed to be? pure fuckery. 3 game win streak at the end of a lottery season? even worse fuckery.

“again, you haven’t been proud here since ‘73. 19-73, that is.”

Get the fuck out of dodge, Isiah. The sooner you do, the faster the regulars will come back, myself included. those people that were filling up the garden at the end of last season were not the regulars, ask drossman or anyone else that goes to the games. dozens of scalpers were giving those tickets away outside of 2 penn plaza on any given night.

    KD,

The problem w/ that is that Dolan never really got to see the empty seats. I could have gone to about 10 games this year (usually get offered 3 games a season) but refused. I couldn’t see supporting that current regime by attending.

I’d rather not see D’Antoni come in as coach. Not to knock a former COY, but I don’t think he is very good on the defensive end which we both know is our glaring weakness. I’d rather have JVG protege, Thibidau. I can’t say i’m for or against bringing in Jackson because of his lack of experience.

Can’t wait to see how this turn out….. which Coach out there think he has the gift to whip our players into a winning team, who’s gonna get the glory… the pat on the back ….and which player will be the next Knicks star…..
