More poor prognosticating by the MSM. New York Tabloids had Walsh staying put. Let’s see who takes credit for
bringing him to Gotham? What a joke these monkeys with laptops are!!!!!!!

2 Orange and Blue March 24, 2008 at 4:20 pm

I second that emotion Vic Corbit.

I’ve been really swamped recently and certainly missed the comraderie of the defender familia.

Those ballers in this joint stacking coins from your tourney prognistications…

Cheers.

Is there any reason to watch the remaining 13 or so games of this miserable Knicks season?

Here’s to a better season next year and the years that follow!

3 edward drossman March 24, 2008 at 5:02 pm

I’d rather have Ernie Grunfeld here.

4 Steady March 24, 2008 at 5:57 pm

Defenders,
Let’s not rush to judgement. Just be mindful that the MSM may not have the
transformative judgement that this franchise requires. If the owner does not have it,
would we agree that the Lil’ General 5-star (Stern) has it? What about the Lone Rogue
Ref? The ABS fiasco enabled him and Donaghy to stay well below the radar. And now
you’ve got the pot calling the kettle black.
JD has said it himself–there will be no JVG redux: “He Quit”. There will be no HOF
ABS coach redux: “He was fired”. Sterns does not own the franchise and will not be
given a pass to run in “his” flunkies who did not make it elsewhere. Ask Stu because
that’s what the League Office is for–hire folks who could not make it in NY, NY.
Just bloggin’. ;-)
My happy buck says the driver in the MSG has a King Spades (LBJ) or an Ace of Spades in his
(Mamba) in his vest pocket. The franchise deserves as much. While you’re at it, put
H2O and D L T in the intern/mentor program. Their wives can work with the City
Dancers.

KFL (no love–heart broken until, come what, May?)

Deeeeeeeee-fenders,

What did Walsh do in Indy?
He traded away,Artest,S.Jackson,A.Harrington(twice).
Does he know talent?
The Pacers stink too!!
Change may not always be for the better……but someone else needs a turn.

@Vic Corbit,

Hitting the nail on the head that’s what you did.
They(MSM) all want to be the first to know nothing.Great comment!

@Steady,

You will continue to be my mentor.Write on,Brother, write on.

Oh,and the wife may end up bitch-slapping EC if she were that close.:-)

6 D L T Knicks March 24, 2008 at 6:31 pm

That’s bitch-slapping EC :-)

Yea,boy!

7 Peaceman March 24, 2008 at 6:46 pm

Artest will be coming home this summer …Walsh will not make past Hoboken!
The Pacers suck!

8 Peaceman March 24, 2008 at 6:54 pm

I’ll tell you what! I’ll watch the game tonight…Zach is playing and the Knicks
won’t be tanking tonight for a change…the last thing they want to do is help the Nets!

9 D L T Knicks March 24, 2008 at 6:55 pm

@Peaceman

Loved the songs on the last post……

“don’t you stop it, don’t you stop, stop the music”.

Also, let’s hope Walsh is not holding that Detroit #$@!*($&@^rock’em sock’em against RonRon.

10 DaVonn Obama Jefferson March 24, 2008 at 7:27 pm

Forget Walsh…bring us Jerry West!!

At least give us a GM that has won some Chips!!!

Change in 08!!!!!!!!

11 D L T Knicks March 24, 2008 at 7:32 pm

Obama,

That would may more cents!!A PROVEN GM!

I’m guessing West won’t come East for the Knicks.

He’ from West Va.,not the Bronx like Walsh.

12 Top Shotta March 24, 2008 at 7:44 pm

How old is Donnie Walsh?…He looks about a 100yrs on that press conference..I agree with DLT, what has Walsh done lately?.

13 Top Shotta March 24, 2008 at 7:47 pm

I prefer Jerry West Myself.

14 D L T Knicks March 24, 2008 at 7:50 pm

That’s another point @ Top Shotta

How long will he be around? He’s 66.

Is that TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO old school :-)

15 Peaceman March 24, 2008 at 8:00 pm

STEADY@ 4
You know whats good!

16 D L T Knicks March 24, 2008 at 8:04 pm

23-18 Nets

17 Marzak. March 24, 2008 at 8:04 pm

We always have the tendency in NY to want to bring a marquee name aboard to right our ship and it doesn’t get us anywhere. West and Walsh are past their primes. Guys always make their bones in other places and use that shine to get big $$ from NY teams hoping for that star power (Larry Brown, Glen Sather). We overpay for past success. Let’s be original for a change and get a younger executive and coach here to take us to the next level like Dumars or Bryan Colangelo(I’d take him in a second!!).

18 Peaceman March 24, 2008 at 8:12 pm

Here’s some news from the top! Like it hate it or whatever!!!!! Zeke is going no place! He may have a co-VP to help
while he Coaches,,,but according to the “INSIDER” ABS winning did nothing but cement ZEKE another year because DOLAN agrees
ZEKE was distracted from day one! AS a matter of FACT ZEKE has an Appointment with the INSIDER in OCTOBER along with the Rest of the
team ….Appointments were just made 3 Days ago!!!!! SUCK ON THAT!

19 D L T Knicks March 24, 2008 at 8:28 pm

@Peaceman

What???????????????????

Hate it or love it, the underdog is a gonna.

New VP and new coach……..willing to bet “one UTube song”.

20 Peaceman March 24, 2008 at 8:30 pm

Donnie Walsh suffers from Crotch rot! A Indianna Hospital CEO claims whoever let out that
HIPPA violation will be fired! Indiana Press 1900 EST!

21 Peaceman March 24, 2008 at 8:32 pm

DLT…..I’ll BET MY LUNGS!

22 D L T Knicks March 24, 2008 at 8:36 pm

Peaceman

You’re on…..still don’t know what I’m gonna do with your lungs

are they in good shape,do you smoke? :-)

23 Peaceman March 24, 2008 at 8:36 pm

Craw gets Hacked to death no call?

24 PaulNoize March 24, 2008 at 8:41 pm

yeah that was a horrible non-call Peace

25 PaulNoize March 24, 2008 at 8:41 pm

refs stankin out the joint in general….tanking like the Nets & Knicks! It really IS contagious!!!

26 PaulNoize March 24, 2008 at 8:47 pm

Peaceman, your INSIDER info plays into what i mentioned in the last thread…..the worst-case scenario where we have a new “advisor” or front office guy above Isiah, while Zeke continues as the so-called “coach” of the team. This must be avoided at all costs.

Isiah may deserve to head up one of the front offices in the NBA (debatable!), but you can’t tell me there aren’t 30 better candidates to head up the NY Knicks as Head Coach than Isiah Lord Thomas! As a coach, he .

Wait wait wait…..so is this a bet, DLT & Peace?

27 Peaceman March 24, 2008 at 8:50 pm

DLT here’s a song about this Knicks season! Check it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvQKBAdgp8I

28 D L T Knicks March 24, 2008 at 8:51 pm

Bet 4 sure

What will I do with Peaceman’s lungs?………..throw in a Knicks City Dancer and we are on.

29 Steady March 24, 2008 at 8:52 pm

D L T my dear protege–I love and would not mislead you if allowed. On this account, I tend to side with Peaceman for he knows what’s good. Accept the Monty.

Definsider comes through again and this time to calm the nerves of the faithful.

Love IT or hate IT but IT is what IT is.

Now D L T, if you insist on IT, Peaceman got his lungs on IT, you got one UTube song on IT, I think I may want some of that action. :-)

Steady as the NYK goes.

KFL–ya’ll know what’s good.

30 Top Shotta March 24, 2008 at 8:55 pm

On another note ,there’s a strong possibility that Jason Kidd’s Mavs might not make the playoffs with Dirk out indefinetly…You know Rod Thorn and company will be somewhere cracking up if his Nets make it, while Kidd is at home watching, especially after the way he sulked his way into being traded.

31 D L T Knicks March 24, 2008 at 8:55 pm

Peaceman

I had that on wax and lost it…great album.

32 Peaceman March 24, 2008 at 8:56 pm

PaulNoize, name these 30 people and the Championships they own! Yeah right! I thought so!
This guy has no reason to lie! The same old shit names being rehashed here makes the average Hoop Joe HURL!
Maybe they would replace Frank in NJ or Riley in Miami…… but if he’s correct …MONTY HAS A TRUMP CARD,
Right next to the get out of jail free card and pass go and collect $200.00 dollars!

33 D L T Knicks March 24, 2008 at 9:02 pm

@Steady

I’ll give you Peaceman’s lungs, you give me the Knicks City Dancer.(don’t tell the wife)

I hope for You and Peaceman’e seke he is right. What will you do with Peaceman’s lung?

34 Steady March 24, 2008 at 9:04 pm

D L T–you are CERTIFIED yo!! LOL

35 Peaceman March 24, 2008 at 9:09 pm

36 D L T Knicks March 24, 2008 at 9:10 pm

@Steady & Peaceman

If “Monty” walks out on the garden floor for the 08-09 season there will be a riot.

You have to agree with that!

37 PaulNoize March 24, 2008 at 9:15 pm

You want me to name thirty champions i think are better suited to coach the Knicks in 2008-09 than Isiah Thomas, Peaceman? There’s a lot more candidates out there than just the same ‘ol tired names from 1997, ya know. Some guys who never got a chance but should have, like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for one.

Mind you, if it IS Walsh coming in, then the question of whether Isiah stays or goes was made before that handshake got shook. If could be that Jimmy D doubles down on his contract extension for Isiah by bringing in a greybeard with media gravitas (Walsh) to help “manage” next year’s marketing campaign – and also get Isiah’s back no matter what. That’d sure be stupid….or genius, if it works (LOL).

Knicks down 82-58 in the third. =(

38 D L T Knicks March 24, 2008 at 9:17 pm

Speaking of next year…..

Collins and Morris are the young pups that need to GO!

39 Peaceman March 24, 2008 at 9:19 pm

DLT….
It depends on who walks out on the floor with MONTY!
If it’s the same Mo Mo’S your right… but the feeling is
those who walk with Zeke will be the SAVIORS…starting with ARTEST!

40 PaulNoize March 24, 2008 at 9:20 pm

Crawful 6-19 tonight so far. =(

41 PaulNoize March 24, 2008 at 9:22 pm

do you think the Knicks would trade their top pick for Artest, Peaceman? Is that the secret plan, plus maybe a plum MLE signing with a young hopper shotblocker?

42 Peaceman March 24, 2008 at 9:23 pm

CRAWFORD … Mr 4TH quarter! Take the Cuffs off let shoot like a M60!
We have ZERO to lose! All downtown!!!!!

43 PaulNoize March 24, 2008 at 9:26 pm

no Randolph Morris yet tonight, DLT. i also think he is only barely on the fringe of the new-school 15-man rosters of today’s NBA…..i’d like to see a marginally better big candidate in his slot on the bench next season, frankly. Perhaps a reality show – Who’s The Next Jackie Butler? =)

44 PaulNoize March 24, 2008 at 9:27 pm

Jamal can rise up and bomb, no doubt!

45 Peaceman March 24, 2008 at 9:28 pm

Paulnoize,
Artest will walk in our camp for ZERO! Maybe Rose at best!

46 PaulNoize March 24, 2008 at 9:30 pm

Balkman a couple of nice, physical fouls to deny dunks or layups tonight. Not dirty or gratuitous…..just clean, old-school, contested with your whole body type rim denials.

i wish there had been more of that out of our three spot this year….might’ve helped give our squad some identity. Oh well. Probably wasn’t a bad idea to stick with Q. Loyalty begats loyalty and all that. i guess. =(

47 D L T Knicks March 24, 2008 at 9:32 pm

Peaceman,

Monty will need to walk out with MORE THAN Artest, maybe minus Curry,Steph,JJames and some others.

Add a first round D.Rose and some more……..and he won’t get bamboozelled, hookwinked, ran amuck.

48 PaulNoize March 24, 2008 at 9:32 pm

Peace – do you seriously think Mr. Artest will sign a 5-year mid-level deal here? Won’t he have a problem with being underpaid, especially after years of bitching how underpaid he is?

49 PaulNoize March 24, 2008 at 9:33 pm

CRAWFORD

50 PaulNoize March 24, 2008 at 9:34 pm
