Rookie Chandler’s minutes beginning to rise after months of neglect
March 15, 2008 – 11:57 am
“With Eddy Curry out for the season, Isiah Thomas plans to play rookie Wilson Chandler major minutes, according to the New York Post.
However, Zeke doesn’t appear to be all that confident in the first-round picks’ abilities.
“Right now he gets beat by the veteran savvy of other players,” Thomas said. “I try to start him and let him play against some of the top guys and they are having their way with him.”
“I like his competitiveness. I’d like to see him a little more involved offensively. Right now he is strictly out on the floor playing as a defender,” he added.”

O&B,
With the Arrival of Artest next year Chandler will be else where!
I hate to agree with Folly, but we cut the wrong rookie! Nichols should have stayed!
Chandler hasn’t exactly lit it up offensively as a starter, shooting 7-for-23 (30.4 percent) and averaging four points, and Thomas admits walking a fine line trying to get him experience while attempting to win games.
Sorry he’s a Mike Sweeny 2! Of course that’s just my opinion!

REPOST TO ASNWER PEACEMAN’S REPOST!
Check it out Peaceman and Defenders.
The Chicago Bulls wouldn’t touch ABS with a 10 foot weasal proof pole.
No new hire:
A story in Friday’s New York Post stated that former Knicks community relations director Anucha Browne Sanders had an “exploratory conversation with the Bulls regarding an NBA return.”
A jury awarded Sanders $11.6 million in her sexual harassment lawsuit against the Knicks and team president Isiah Thomas in October. She is now working as an associate athletic director at the University of Buffalo.
Bulls vice president of marketing Steve Schanwald said the team has great respect for Sanders, but no conversations have taken place regarding employment with the Bulls and there are no positions available.
Also Peaceman…
Chandler hasn’t seen the light of day untill recently.
I’ll give the rook the benefit of the doubt.
Give him a full year or two of significant playing time and then make a decision then on his future.

Yo KnicksD!
I like the way you used your photo imaging tech to superimpose Alan Houston on the court with Dave Lee, and Wilson Chandler. Hey who is that Geoffrey the Giraffe Lookalike on the floor?

Your point in post # 6 is duly noted.
Is that the fault of the Coach/GM that created the team culture, or the players?
Do the Players know of joints where they can practice at when the Coach/Gm is not promoting that idea?
Is is something they can schedule for themselves or does that go through the organizational chain of command.
This organization has bad Karma, and vultures nipping at its throat, but no storm last forever!
PS
I was jocking with you about the Allan Houston bit, I new it was the preseason game in Boston.
But now that you reminded me of that loss, I can see why you weren’t necessarily smiling.

Fuck the playoffs!!!!!!!!!!
Go to the draft and try to get Beasley, Rose, Gordon or Mayo.
I don’t know what’s so hard to understand here.
I love Peacemans energy and what he says is true about how easy our schedule it
but why Peaceman…..why?
Lock your pride in the closet for a couple more months and then once we draft
a future superstar…that’s when you come out swinging.
Plus we get Artest in the offseason.
By DaVonn Obama Jefferson on Mar 15, 2008 at 4:35 pm
Why aren’t the people who were calling for Larry Brown to be fired now calling for Thomas to be fired? Why does Thomas get a total pass with you guys? Thomas provided a team for Brown, a team that Thomas said he could have won with. But Thomas now has a better team than Brown had and Thomas can’t win. Why haven’t I heard anyone here saying Thomas should be fired. DaVonn, African, Orange and Blue, Peace, why does Thomas get a pass with you, but Larry Brown didn’t they both completely failed as coaches, but Brown also failed as a gm.
By Edward Drossman on Mar 15, 2008 at 5:16 pm
The lack of credibility on this site regarding Thomas is amazing. If Brown needed to be held accountable, then Thomas certainly dies also. Please Dolan rid the Knicks of that cancer Thomas.
By Edward Drossman on Mar 15, 2008 at 5:28 pm
Peace..
That mock draft is wack!! Where are the two kids from NC, Tyler Hansbrough and Ty Lawson? You mean to tell me they aren’t projected in the top 60????
That’s why it’s called a “mock” draft…it makes a mockery of our intelligence.

@bronxboy,
Clemson is one of my sleepers!
@ Drossman,
Thomas deserves better treatment than Brown because Thomas is Black!
Thomas is also Pro Jewish and was even the only NBA team to play
the jewish Pro team!
So Thomas deserves better treatment than Brown because;
1. He’s a Blackman
2. He likes da jewish people! That should keep you quite for a while!

Clemson played NC x2 and lost both in heart breakers!
I believe the total was less than 4 points for both games combind!
By Peaceman on Mar 15, 2008 at 6:05 pm
Peace,
I was just about to say whoever said that Clemson was one of the most dangerous teams in the nation hit the nail on the head, and i realize it was you that made that assessment!
Nobody, I repeat, NOBODY wants to play Clemson right now…unless you love to be pressured for 40 mins.
This Clemson team kinda reminds me of Nolan Richardson’s Razorback teams in the mid-90’s…..he used to call em’ “40 minutes of hell”

The following teams are a lock for 1-4
1. Heat 11-53
2. Wolfs 15-49
3. Memphis 15-49
4. Sonics 16-50
add the Clips, Kings, Bucks, Bobcats, Pacers, Bulls, Nets, ATL, Portland, Denver that have the same chance
of Ping pong balls as we currently do…we stand a better chance making the playoffs than a lottery pick!
Lets Play the Celtics…..make GSW history!!!!!!We’ll still have about the same pick either way!

Bronxboy in #20, the reason why those two fairly prominent college ballers aren’t on this list is cuz they believe (at this point) that they’re more likely to declare next year. Who knows where they get their intel, but you’re right that this stuff is just wild projections beyond the (say) top 5 or so. We should have a better idea of the most likely first rounders after the madness. Second rounders after the various post-season camps.

Pitt is handing G’Town their azzes right now…
Roy Hibbert playing like lunchmeat, was being abused by Dujuan Blair…..John Thompson Sr., sitting behind the G’Town bench, gave him a tongue lashin’ on his way to his seat….

In regards to your predictions of the teams one and done in the NCAA Tourney, I would LOVE a piece of that action if you’re up to it…PAYPAL works for me…Name your POISON…

You got to LOVE DeJuan Blair’s chops cause he certainly clarified things for the reporter. Although his play was not indicative of his mouth. Fields, our Homie Ramon, and Mr. Young bagged this game for the Panthers. Gotta LOVE the Youngins Chops though. Talkin like a BBALLER BRAWLER…Hibbert was Chopped Liver tonight…Soft like Charmin…

So every Knicks GM in the future can use the excuse that he did what he could get after the Thomas abortion! Hey peace enough with the excuses. Layden was a terrible GM and Thomas was a terrible GM and coach. I find it funny that in less time then Thomas has been here teams have made themselves winners.
Name one player on the Knicks now that came from Layden. Did Eddy Curry from Layden? Did Marbury come from Layden? Did Layden trade Kurt Thomas for Q?. Did Layden sign that misfit Jared Jefferies? And who can forget the exceptional Jerome James? Did Layden sign James? Did Layden get Lenny and Brown as coaches only to fire both, make himself coach and do just as bad as Lenny and Brown. Actually I’d take Lenny back in a New York minute.
Yes, Layden was a terrible gm, but Thomas is equally bad and Thomas was also bad as a coach.
I don’t think peace and African are Knicks fans. They are Thomas fans and will worship him no matter how bad he does for the Knicks? And I recall that peace abandoned ship for the Knicks the minute Boston got better. Tell me something peace, how does Boston get so much better so fast (they had terrible Gms also since their glory days in the 1980’s), but the Knicks can’t? Because the Knicks (and you peace) are all about excuses. Look at what Don Nelson and Chris Mullin have done in Golden State (another team that has had terrible coaches and gms) during the time that the Knicks have had Thomas.
By Edward Drossman on Mar 15, 2008 at 11:46 pm
I’ll give Thomas credit for drafting balkman and Lee, but then he make the mistake of not playing Balkman (so people might think now that drafting Balkman was a mistake? How about Jared coming off the bench before Lee for most of the season. And the only reason Lee is playing right now is because Zach (who I think was a good pick up by Thomas isn’t playing). The minute Zach comes back, Balkman will go back to not playing and Jared will be the first off the bench. Lee will go back to mop up duties.
Nate
Crawford
Zach
Balkman
Lee.

I’m in for the playoff train. Pretty pissed at Jamal’s comments in GameOn where he says that we’re not making the playoffs so it’s o.k. about not getting as much playing time. That SOB confirmed that the tank is on. But I’m no hypocrite. I’m still hoping the kids catch fire. Damn the old heads and their tankin’ ways. They’re dreaming of ping pongs with DaVonn. Hopefully the kids’ll show us something tonight against another tankful organization Miami.
Lives probably can’t do a pregame to this because there’s no history for the guys playing on either team. So it should be fun. The youngins showing what they’re capable of.
