Knicks at Celtics

February 13, 2008 – 6:30 pm

New post for the game tonight against the KG-less Celtics. I’m excited, seems like we haven’t caught a Knicks game in nearly a week… I wonder if Malik Rose will start considering how well he played against the Bucks and also considering who is in Isiah’s dog house lately.

Don’t forget to switch it over to ESPN2 after the game tonight to see Beasley from Kansas State at 9ish.

  2. during the pregame on msg, they interviewed brandon roy and nate robinson who were teammates at washington.

nate was very humble and even said, “even though I’m older than you, I’ve always looked up to how you play and I’m very happy for you making the all-star game.”

I’m very proud of nate to say something like that, it shows maturity and respect.

  3. Anybody notice the veiled shot Heinsoin took at Avery Johnson??

During Knicks pregame, Trautwig asked Tommy boy his thoughts on the Kidd to Dallas trade, he responded..

“Kidd will inject some offensive juice in the Mav’s attack. Ever since Don Nelson left, they don’t play offense with the same intensity, all they focus on is defense”

Didn’t that “focus” on defense get them two wins away from a chip in 06′??

How idiotic a statement is that? Do these guys THINK before they speak??

    Damn, does it ever end????

Once a Celtic, always a Celtic.

  7. Everybody for Boston will miraculously heal for this game. There are teams that teams get “up” to play. We are one of those teams. We’ll see if KG and Perkins stay injured for this game.

  8. Curry train wrecks Leon Powe. Offensive foul.

By Jay Bee on Feb 13, 2008 at 7:42 pm

  9. Q Rich hits a three to start the game. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.

  10. Zach with a jumper. Knicks 5 - Celts 2.

By Jay Bee on Feb 13, 2008 at 7:44 pm

  11. Richardson just took his third shot missing his second two. Like I said, I don’t know if Q hitting his first was a good thing. If he thinks he’s “feeling it” he may start jacking up shots.

  12. Crawford with a strip steal. Crawford with the basket. 9-4 NYK.

  14. Heinsoin should change his first name from Tommy to Homer because I’ve rarely seen a bigger one. Can’t listen to him at all.Lives, don’t like Kidd personally, but professionally I think you underestimate him.But that’s why they play the games. No one knew how good a pro Duncan would be.That’s why the draft is a crap shoot and trades are preferable. You buy what you want. It’s hard to measure heart?Look at Big Eddy?Josh H, Milsap, look at all the #2’s that have made it.Even a sure fire prospect like Oden. You just never really know. It’s usually a crap shoot until they’ve been in the pros for a few years.Enjoy the game.LGK

johnny hoops and gus johnson calling the game plus crawford feeling good equals a good game to watch thus far.

  45. Down by 13

Sadly enough against the Celtics this year… It’s a good thing.

Does anyone get the vibe that the Celtics get the benefit of the doubt with calls, and the Knicks can’t buy a call their way?

    Exactly!

By Orange and Blue on Feb 13, 2008 at 8:42 pm

  46. Fuck it…amputate Big Babys leg!
    I could care less!

By Peaceman on Feb 13, 2008 at 8:42 pm

  47. johnny hoops just hinted something interesting about something during the replay of crawford’s ankle breaker:
“its great when you don’t have extra weight on you, that you can do things like this with your body.”

i’ll take that a step further and say crawford coming into camp at the weight he did was absolutely detrimental to his game, he lost his ability to drive, he was shooting bricks big time. crawford is better off at 190-195, he’s just not very effective at 205 or whatever he was listed as being at the start of the season.

By knicksdefense on Feb 13, 2008 at 8:42 pm

  48. Halftime. I need coffee. I’ve got a financial report due in the morning. I’ma squeeze in ten mins. on that. BRB.

And my two cents on the Kidd trade.

Why couldn’t we take part in that trade?

    Why?

    Why?

    Fuck!

It’s like lopsided trades happen all the time and the Knicks are the ugly kid never asked to join the party!

    Why!

    Why!

I agree with Zach: we don’t have to match the opponent’s lineup; we should force them to play our game.

We will take it to them this second half!

By Peaceman on Feb 13, 2008 at 8:54 pm

  64. How does Lawrence Frank get to remain a coach is beyond me.

BTW, in 1996 David Robinson was out until until Dec. 10th because of a back injury and he played six games before he fractured his foot on December 25th and was expected to be out for at least six weeks (into February). When he was finished for the year the team was 6-18. Without Robinson they finished with 20 wins and the third worst record in the league. Tank? That’s one way of looking at the season disappear without your best player.

Now one might ask, what happened to the two teams with worst records and all of the other teams in the lottery. Did they have the same fortune as that team that supposedly tanked the season without their best player, Center Piece, for most of the season? Play to lose; another flawless, brilliant strategy devoid of any ethical foundation. If the comment was made by anyone other than a Defender — my words would be most vile and accurate for such a concept.

By Lives In New Jersey, Loves New York on Feb 13, 2008 at 8:55 pm

  65. Has anyone seen Miami since the trade? Their rebuilding isn’t going to take as long as ours.

Curry would look great on that team.

By Jay Bee on Feb 13, 2008 at 8:57 pm

By HarleminMD on Feb 13, 2008 at 8:59 pm

  72. Celts are playing stripball. Stripping any big with the ball. No fouls are called. N.B.A. in full effect. Knicks three turnovers to start the qtr. giving up 7 straight points. 60-40 Celts.

By Jay Bee on Feb 13, 2008 at 9:00 pm

this game is basically over at this point. imagine if kg was playing…

By knicksdefense on Feb 13, 2008 at 9:07 pm

  79. Even w/o Garnet the Celtics have Pierce and Allen.

They play active defense, they have a former knick coach as an assistant who is a defensive specialist.

Zeke has his boys on the bench who don’t add anything but fat man post moves.

By Orange and Blue on Feb 13, 2008 at 9:09 pm

  80. i’m wearing starbury IIs right now. pretty good, i think of them as modern chuck taylor all-stars, except they’re not owned by nike.

i hope you guys don’t mind, i’m still a fan of the shoes. perhaps i’ll switch over and try the big bens next, except they don’t come in knicks colors like the starburys.

By knicksdefense on Feb 13, 2008 at 9:09 pm

  81. Now, this Knicks squad looks terrible.

They have not looked like this in ten games. Are they intimidated by Boston or are they falling apart because of all of the trade rumors?

No need to tank if you intend to play like this.

They don’t look like there is comeback effort in them. Tomorrow gents is another day.

As DaVonn would say, “Terrible. Just terrible.”

By Lives In New Jersey, Loves New York on Feb 13, 2008 at 9:09 pm

  82. In fairness to IT though, these guys are almost WALKING on the defensive end. He is trying to cover their flaws.

  83. Yup!

By Syd on Feb 13, 2008 at 9:16 pm

  84. FWIW, the past two years with Isiah as coach, they didn’t do any defensive drills during the open practices. just offensive walk-throughs. who knows what they do behind closed doors (the media does not know either), but it certainly does not look as though defense is a major concern in the real games.

  91. Seriously

At this point I’m just happy to see the Knicks play hard and compete.

I don’t think they’ll win tonight but I get indigestion when their out on the court just dragging their feet.

At least they fought back got some nice steals and saw some good defense.

Why can’t they do that for 4 quarters?

    So many questions.

    So few answers.

By Orange and Blue on Feb 13, 2008 at 9:30 pm

Someone has to replenish the teams caloric intake!

That is the job he currently shares with Jerome James.

Correct on your assessment, I see Pierce taking it to the rack and drawing contact.

Crawford drives to settle for jumpers which come up short.

To answer your question in post #96, ABSOLUTELY NOT! Modi is a true Scholar and a gentleman, and he is out and about on his grind. Modi is a True Player for Real! O & B, I’m certain he will reach back in when he can.

Defenders, this too shall pass…Change is a coming…We don’t know when and WE don’t control how, but WE defintely know why…On this you can depend!!!!

Nevertheless, until the bitter end we will play on and fight on…as my Partner would say,

  131. Amazing, no matter who the Knicks put on the floor, they had no interior defense. None. Their best interior defense includes Balk and jeffries on the floor at the same time, but they don’t score. Rivers just has the Knicks number.

Check the points in the paint without a big man. Amazing.

Hope my question to Harlem at post 96 wasn’t taken as disrespectful.

I called out some BSPN guy when he called out MODI and added insult to injury by titling the slight as “The Book of Isiah.”

I respect a person to think outside the box the way MODI has, many wouldn’t consider the possibility that in NY the salary cap might not have the same impact on personel acquisition, as MODI suggested in his Isiah Thomas Book.

    Much respect Cooley.

They were in this game in the 4th but this Celtics team is for real.

6-2 w/o Garnet unbeaten against the West.

I hate the Celtics, the way in which the obtained Garnet is suspect IMHO but they are playing like a squad with the goods to get to the big dance.

    Good night to all.

  143. Our guards need to learn how to close out on the three point shooters. You can almost get away with that because most teams don’t have consistent shooting. But with a team like this, you need to close out. Lazy habits are killing us. And will somebody commit a hard foul…Pleeeeeeease!!!!

    1-2-3-4–Total

    24-16-32-31–103
    21-32-32-26–111

  155. The Kidd deal is terrible for Dallas too. Two first rounders, whew. Losing all those players, I would think Dallas is going to start looking for depth. I’ll see if I can find an updated Dallas roster tomorrow. Whoa!! Devean George just blocked the deal on a technicality. It ain’t over yet.

By Jay Bee on Feb 13, 2008 at 10:48 pm

  156. I’m glad George is blocking that trade.
    Good for him.
Like Coach Pop said…there should be a trade commitee (spell check).

After all the kinks were worked out….the trade would’ve looked like this.

    Dallas gets Kidd and Allan
NJ gets Harris and 2 first round draft picks.
    Are you serious right now?

Stackhouse would be bought out of his contract and sign with Dallas after 30 days.
Diop, George and Ager all have expiring contracts after this year.

I guess it depends on how you look at it but I agree with Pop!!!

  162. Lives, I’m with you on the Lawrence Frank thing…

O&B, glad to have the orange back! i guess the 7 game losing streak cheered you up! …as to the question, no it was not taken negatively in the least. But you should know that i never duck or dodge… I’m a consultant so some weeks I have a lot of free time and other weeks are simply brutal for me… its often an all or nothing proposition… I even missed my first Knicks game last week… put my head down for what I though was 60 seconds at 6pm and woke up at midnight… and it was the San Antonio game!!!! still pissed off about it!

As for Eddy, my opinion hasn’t changed. isiah puts people in the dog house that is completely random and has absolutely no relationship to performance. If Q has yet to find the dog house, then I am unwilling to discuss any other player on the Knicks. In my very humble opinion, here is what I’ve learned about leadership. People, whether youth or adults, do not have a real problem following rules and discipline. Whether a ball player or any other employee of any company, people want is CONSISTENCY. It is human nature. People want some semblance of being treated fairly. Everybody might hate on Marbury, but marbury KNOWS isiah did not treat him fairly. And that has contributed to his pouting. How can he square away the game 6 benching with Jamal allowed to chuck with complete free will and Q allowed to brick as much as he wants. It makes me wonder if Isiah is simply a petty person. I really have no more words for isiah… it is at the point where it feels like betrayal… not that he personally owes me anything… just bloggin’

Thanks cooley, lookin forward for Tuesday at the Wiz…

    Good to hear from you.

The same reason why I returned to Orange and Blue is the same reason why the other bloggers here keep on keeping on. B/c were die hard fans, and this is the forum to cope with the beatings we’ve taken and continue to take for our loyalty to the Knicks.

I fully understand your point about Zeke, so IYHO it’s basically that Thomas is not cultivating loyalty and commitment due to his inconsistent handling of players on the roster. That makes alot of sense to me.

BSPN News from the insider, Zach attacks the cards stacked in the Knicks Roster.

    Read:

Zach Randolph feels that Isiah Thomas should delve into the trade market to shake up the Knicks’ roster because “what we’re doing now ain’t working.
“We need to do something,” Randolph said following Boston’s 111-103 victory over the Knicks on Wednesday night.

When asked if he expects to still be with the team following next week’s trading deadline, Randolph said: “I don’t know. There has been a lot of talk. I don’t know what is going to happen.” — New York Daily News

Zach Randolph still was ticked off yesterday about being blamed by a bouncer in a police report for a Jan. 31 fight at a Portland nightclub, Greek Cusina. A brawl allegedly broke out on the second floor that included as many as 50 patrons, with the bouncer pinning the blame on Randolph.
“They sprayed Mace to get everybody out of the club,” Randolph said. He added that he got a little bit of the Mace in his eye.

“It was something I was at,” Randolph said. “I was just there. I don’t know why I was in the police report. Because I was there? It wasn’t my party. My name went on the party (flyer). It had nothing to do with me.” — New York Post’

By the way, Net deal has Stackhouse being bought out and returned to Dallas in 30 days.Kidd and Stack is not terribly different from the Kidd and Vin airshow.Devean George wanted a trade last week so this is just a holdup for a perk, more money or another trade.Probably wants back to LA sooner or later.Decent defender, that’s it.Dallas had no choice considering all the western upgrades and Dallas’ road record.A Knick trade wouldn’t surprise me.Desperation seems to be setting in.When guys who live and die with wins and losses appear to be laughing things off they are usually being eaten up inside.IT needs to be very careful because Curry’s value is pretty low and someone will try to cherry pick him and maybe someone else of value. The big boy in Indiana is probably the target because he actually wants to come here.We need a legit point.Andre Miller would be perfect, Kyle Lowery(Villanova) is a tough little guy and might not be to expensive. He’s worth a shot.Sacramento is probably holding our feet to the fire with Artest.Petrie is to smart not to trade him so if he can rip(rape) us off,Ron Ron will appear here. But moves made in a panic usually don’t work.If a trade is made it will probably have the proviso that if it doesn’t work heads will immediately roll.On the other hand IT can only go on but so long at this rate.Be careful what you wish for.Last night, to much zone defense.Allen and Pierce feast on stuff like that.Did you notice David Lee taking his time on the play that Powe beat him up the floor and Rondo dropped the little bounce pass?It wasn’t that great a play. It’s called running and making a simple pass.On the other hand someone did not get back on D, lay up.We lose because we don’t do the little things that should be taken care of in practice.Curry still doesn’t understand he needs to get quicker.Only one way.On the bright side with all due disrespect to the NJ Nits, we’re now the best team in the Metro area.We need to work harder and smarter.LGK

  168. Good PM Defenders!

I just peeked in to drop an encouraging word to all of you passionate New York Knicks Fans. Lastly, I hope each and every Defender spends QUALITY TIME with their Significant Others on this year’s Valentines Day! God Bless DEFENDERS!

    Today’s Quote

We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.

    Today’s Scripture
“For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened” (Matthew 7:8).

    Today’s Word

Is there something you are believing God for? Does it seem like it’s taking a long time to come to pass? Be encouraged today! The Bible says that through faith and patience you will inherit the promise. You can trust that God’s Word is true. Submit your prayers to the Lord, and keep an attitude of faith and expectancy. Keep asking. Keep seeking. Keep knocking on the door, and it will be opened to you. It may seem like it’s taking a long time, but know this: God is working behind the scenes on your behalf. He is orchestrating things in your favor. He is perfecting whatever concerns you. Don’t give up! Start thanking God for His faithfulness in your life. As you stay faithful in your prayers and thanksgiving, the Lord will move mightily on your behalf. He’ll take you places that you’ve never dreamed, and you will live the life of victory He has in store for you!

    A Prayer for Today

Father in heaven, thank You for giving me a diligent spirit. Thank You for Your faithfulness. Give me strength to stand until I see Your promises fulfilled in my life. Amen.

Keep the FAITH Defenders and Keep it Poppin!

    Montyism + Fanaticism + Denial + Monolithic Thought = Playoff Talk @ 15(w)&37(L)

Losing games by 20 points or more, and giving up because you may or may not like a teammate, is
exhibiting a LOSER’S MENTALITY. If you are playing CYO,AAU, or any other league, you do not allow
another player’s persona, to affect your game, unless you are a LOSER. When that player LEAVES
and you can’t use that player as an EXCUSE, but you have 8-game losing streak, You are a LOSER.
Losing to the Celts w/o anyone over 6ft8(Davis is 6ft7), you are a LOSER.
Cut your Losses(LOSERS)REBUILD w/ role players & Zach, but add Young Talent(Beasley,Rose)
    This Team Stinks!!

    Question
Would Celts be 41-9 if Crawful was their starting Point Guard?

  172. “DON’T TRY TO DUPLICATE”
Nearly seven in 10 sports fans say Michael Jordan is still the man. So who better than His Airness to ask if the league is headed in the right direction?
by Michael Jordan (as told to Ric Bucher)

    Jeff Riedel

The NBA doesn’t have an image problem.

It has young guys who have young ideas. Maturity comes later, and sometimes too late to realize you should’ve done this or you should’ve done that. Kids shouldn’t come out of school as early as they do. A year in college isn’t enough. They shouldn’t be allowed to come out until they are adults—21 years old.

Now, why shouldn’t a black kid who isn’t wealthy have a chance to provide for his family? That is an issue; I’m not walking away from that. The problem is some kids are mature and ready to deal with the whole NBA atmosphere, but many more kids are not.

I was a mature guy coming out of North Carolina, so when a negative thing happened—someone misinterprets what gambling means to me—it didn’t stick. I stepped forward and said, “This is what I did, this is not jeopardizing anything, this is not an addiction,” and the public listened. But I was a lot more mature when it happened. If I’d been in that position and had been asked that question at 18 or 19, I may have had a very different way of handling it.

When I turned pro, the league was looking for a change. I had the personality and the game and a style of play, and all that came together at the same time. All the stars lined up and catapulted everything that came after—23 different shoes, Jordan Brand, everything. It’s a phenomenon. How do you explain a phenomenon? You can’t. The only advice I can give to someone in the league now is to be original. The consumer isn’t dumb. He or she can sense things being knocked off. Originality is what lasts.

David Stern hates when I say this, but in some ways he created his own problem. Look at the way the league markets its players. When I came in, they marketed the athletes themselves, how they performed, what they accomplished. To reinvent someone is very difficult. When you say a player is today’s Michael Jordan or today’s Magic Johnson, the first thing the public will do is compare him to the real Michael Jordan or Magic Johnson. When the public doesn’t see the same degree of success, you’ve just dug yourself a deeper hole.

WOULD MJ HAVE MEANT SOMETHING DIFFERENT TO YOU WITH THE CORNROWS HE WORE AS A KID?

You have to show the consumers something they haven’t seen before, someone about whom they can say, “Hey, that guy is pretty cool.” Magic, Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, myself—we didn’t start out as the league’s partners. We evolved, then the league made us its partners. That’s what the league has to do now—find guys who can grow up to be partners. Don’t take guys and force them into our mold.

One thing to learn from me is that everything I’ve ever done has been me, not something that someone calculated me to be. It goes to my upbringing, my parents. I didn’t grow up in the inner city. I grew up in a rural area, where values were magnified. You were taught how to operate in society, to be articulate, honest. Kids growing up in the city, they’re more materialistic. My kids are going through that now.

I can wear a suit today and jeans with holes tomorrow, and yet people know they are seeing the real me in either outfit. I had cornrows when I was a kid, but it was before anyone knew who I was; would the public or corporate America accept me if I had them today? If I was willing to say, “This is who I am, I’m not trying to be so-and-so,” maybe, but even then I’m not sure. When you see Michael Jordan today, you see Michael Jordan as a totally honest person, and when I say honest I mean real, genuine. I am who I am, and that’s comprehensible to the masses and in many languages.

It’s a tough task for the league to create a similar image for itself. It has to find the right mix between corporate and street, believe in what it’s doing and live with whatever the response may be. Too many of the league’s decisions are made based on the bottom line. People pick up on that. You can’t be afraid to fail. The stars you have now might not live up to the icon of a Michael Jordan or Magic Johnson, but maybe they will create an image that delivers an impact for you 10, 15 years from now.

All I know is—for the league and its players—don’t try to duplicate something that has been done before. Do it your own way, and see where it goes. It might not hit the way you want it to. You may not make as much money as you want to. But there’s value in remaining true to yourself.

  173. Modi,
    RE: #161
The root of your post is a COSELLOUT on which you can find much collaboration here. IT has betrayed NY. One can cite many instances where he has misled, misjudged, misguided, mistaken, misspoke, mismanaged–Did I miss anything Kevin Harewood? What do you say Coach? Fact of the matter is IT himself indicated to the MSM that in some instances he would prefer not to speak for concerns that he might have to lie to through the media. What happened to the power team, or the point guard driven team? He had the nerve to say that the big man is being phased out of the NBA. Maybe he meant the power/bullish Shaq-like C? Otherwise, it is a misstatement considering he brought in two beast for the posts. Moreover, Phil Jackson and the Lakers clearly are on the pulse of playing a double post offense even within the Triangle concept. San Antonio played with the double post for years through two TEAM-CENTERED PROS (DR & TD). Those teams have throw-backs; Monty has throw-aways. But for me, they’re my throw-aways on my favorite team until somebody says NO or GO.

  175. NYT times article covering Isiahs lapse of judgement in the twin oath offense of Curry and Randolph.

    A snipit:

‘After acquiring Randolph last June, Thomas pronounced the Knicks a “power team” that would exploit Curry and Randolph’s size and low-post scoring skills.

But the two never clicked. By December, Thomas started benching one or both of his big men for long stretches of games. When the Knicks staged a brief surge last month, it was mostly because of the perimeter scoring of Crawford and Nate Robinson.

Curry was once promoted as the Knicks’ foundation. On Wednesday, he played only 9 minutes 18 seconds. Thomas said he had not lost faith in Curry, pointing instead to the Celtics’ small lineup.

“What’s happened in this league is that a lot of teams are playing really small,” Thomas said. “It’s a slow phasing out of the big man.”

If true, it suggests that Thomas erred badly in acquiring two lumbering big men over a span of 20 months. Thomas said there was nothing Curry could do to change his game or his body.

“We’ve got to do a better job,” Thomas said. “He can’t do anything. There will be some nights that he’ll be very useful, and then there will be some nights where the team is so small that it’s difficult to play the big guys.”’

Is the part about Thomas mentioning Curry’s inability to change his body an indicment on Curry’s ability to slim down?

The Bergen Record’s Old Man Adameck mulls over Curry’s riding of the pine

Once again overtures of an impending trade of Curry as the trade deadline nears is mentioned.

Lastly Old Man Adameck blogs about how Isiah may just be able to resign and still save face.

    February 15, 2008 - 6:31 am
    New York Post -
According to Marc Berman of the New York Post, the Knicks and Nuggets may be discussing a multi player deal involving Zach Randolph.

  180. JR Smith and Nate on the same team after the brawl?

By DaVonn Obama Jefferson on Feb 15, 2008 at 7:58 am

  181. That would put us over the limit for players….who do we drop? We have to drop 2 players.

Now he’s going to drop 2 just like that?

JR Smith, Najera, Hunter and especially Kleiza won’t get cut if they come here.
Kleiza is better than the other 3 players we’re getting hands down.

  192. More prima facia evidence that the Nothing But Actors League has major credibility issues is posted below.

Read below this clip from Broussard of BSPN:

“If Stackhouse had kept quiet, the league wouldn’t have been able to prove anything,” one Western Conference executive said. “Now, it’s obvious that he talked to Mark Cuban about coming back to the Mavericks.”

One executive said the league is looking into the matter and could very well block Stackhouse from being involved in the trade. That could be a deal-breaker, because Cuban definitely wants Stackhouse back.

“Obviously, George needs to give his consent for the deal to happen, but the Stackhouse thing could now be a bigger problem than George,” a person with knowledge of the teams’ trade negotiations said.

Another executive said team owners have been calling commissioner David Stern to complain about the Stackhouse part of the deal and that several GMs would be incensed if he allows the trade to go through with Stackhouse in it.

“Every GM from a potential playoff team in the Western Conference is complaining about this,” the executive said. “If the league allows this trade to go through, it’ll have a major credibility issue on its hands. Our collective bargaining agreement’s not worth anything if this goes through.”

Now both Lil’ Generals (Monty-3-Star and Sperm-5-Star) have a wad (load) on their hands. Tito, get’em some tissues.

  196. riiiight. i’m sure Sacto, who love center Brad Miller, are just DYING to add $100M worth of backup centers in Eddy & JJ.

What? No….sorry, Monty….i meant we’re trying to SUBTRACT salary dollars!

Of more credence is the stink surround Indiana U Coach Sampson, it looks like the Faculty for that esteemed Institution of Higher Learning is gonna back Sampson rather than fire him, but either way it sure gives everyone a face-saving enterprise if Isiah rides off into the sunset to take over as Coach/Recruiter Extraordinaire at his Alma Mater. He gets a nice payday from Jimmy D, albeit not the same payday as he’d get in a “buyout” sitchu.

Sampson would have to get got, he’s fucked up twice but at least the publicity surrounding Isiah will kind of put his heat on the back burner.

And Knicks fans will win also, as Dolan will have an opportunity to put a new administration in charge and GTFO.

  197. Jibber-Jabbering,

Why DEVALUE an asset that you are trying to sell, “The game is phasing out Big Men”?
Does this mean Curry stays & Randolh goes?–Character Guys w/o Success
    Is 5-7 Rebounds/game,Zero D, Zero shot-blocking, Turnovers-Prone the answer?
Does Isiah RECOGNIZE that his back-court needs an UPGRADE?
Is N8 the point guard of the future?

    Jibber-Jabbering ON CRACK
The Knicks go 26-4, 87% the rest of the year, currently 15-37, 29%
    Ron Artest will motivate Curry.
The Knicks will Win the Division.
The Celts will NOT make the Play-Offs.
Jamal Crawful can & will LEAD the Knicks.
0-5 Roadtrip, “The Next 6 games will be positive”, 1-5 outcome.
TMAN, will you AFFIRM what I wrote.
COOLEY will you AFFIRM what I wrote.

  198. I was looking at NBADRAFT.NET Just reading a little bit about the players to come in the NBA for 2008, they write about their strength and weaknesses and even show a comparison of which pro baller they could end up being like. So I could’nt help but to check out the DRAFT history on 2001, 2002 what they wrote about Eddy curry and who they compared him with.

I GUESS THE ONLY THINIG THAT STOPPED EDDY CURRY WAS EDDY CURRY.
