Pacers at Knicks

by knicksdefense on February 6, 2008

New post for tonight’s game which starts at 7:30pm.

Feels like summer outside today, that’s not something I’m used to in February in NYC.  Hey, I’m not complaining.

Quite a few trades have been going down the past week, none of which involve the Knicks, of course.

Shaq’s quote today was that he told Nash, “I won’t let you down,” in their discussion on the phone.  I remember Shaq praising Steve Nash during Steve’s Dallas days, saying then that Nash was one of the most exciting players in the league, now the two are teammates.

Right now the knicks are at the bottom of the ocean.  That’s not Isola talking, that’s damn truth when you look at the standings.  I respect peaceman for his unwavering belief that this team is still in it, but the time for results and wins was about two weeks ago.  Right now the knicks need to reel off about seven in a row to be significant again for the LAST playoff spot.

Just bloggin’

When Al Troutwig mentioned that Kareem Rush was named the “import player of the year” in Lithuania last season, Kenny Smith, in a sarcastic voice said, “wow, he was the MVP of the Baltic League”….

Kenny is stupid…..CTFU…

2 Jay Bee February 6, 2008 at 9:36 pm

Knicks leading by 3 with 5 minutes of funk left. 90-87.

3 Peaceman February 6, 2008 at 9:37 pm

DVJ,
We won’t lose tonight…as a matter of fact..we are on a 4 game win streak!
This yeas draft…may be the worst in years! Watch Full court press!!!!

4 Jay Bee February 6, 2008 at 9:39 pm

This is where we have to close these jokers out.

5 DaVonn Obama Jefferson February 6, 2008 at 9:40 pm

Worst draft in years?!?!?
We’re talking about the NBA draft right?

You must not watch college ball bro.
If you honestly think that…..you must not watch college.

Tie game to a bunch of bums!!!
Are we serious right now?
We can’t beat this team?

6 Jay Bee February 6, 2008 at 9:41 pm

Annonymous white guy passes to androgynous white guy. Andy scores. Tie game at 92. 3:30 to go.

7 DaVonn Obama Jefferson February 6, 2008 at 9:42 pm

Lose tonight…hopefully Isiah is gone by next game.
Isiah may not be back after the all star game.

Let’s hope that’s true.

8 Jay Bee February 6, 2008 at 9:42 pm

Pacers 94 – Knicks 92.

9 Jay Bee February 6, 2008 at 9:44 pm

Don’t want to understand DVOJ. We’re going to the playoffs!! You’re a blasphemer. lol

10 Opaque and Bruised February 6, 2008 at 9:44 pm

Damn!

The Knicks offense all one man iso plays or one on one plays

The only Knick playing hard is Balkman IMHO!

11 Opaque and Bruised February 6, 2008 at 9:45 pm

Blasphemer!

Blasphemer!

Blasphemer!

LOL!

12 Bronxboy in Md February 6, 2008 at 9:45 pm

LMAO @ andrognyous white guy……

13 Bronxboy in Md February 6, 2008 at 9:46 pm

Sorry fellas…there will be no playoffs for the Knicks this season….

That’s about the long and short of it.

14 Jay Bee February 6, 2008 at 9:47 pm

I can’t even describe the last hoop. But Randolph scores and is shooting for the 3 pt. play. He makes it. We take a brief lead as annonymous white guy scores. An ambivalent white guy scores to make it 98-95 Pacers.

15 Jay Bee February 6, 2008 at 9:47 pm

Jersey has lost 12 of 14 games with their loss tonight.

16 Opaque and Bruised February 6, 2008 at 9:48 pm

Bronxboy

I see your point.

What do the Knicks do in the meantime.

Do we play Chandler, Morris, and Collins more?

Do we try to trade out our albatroses?

Woe is me our team is getting fucked by Androgenous, Amorphous, Anonymous, white guys.

Sounds like american history!

17 Bronxboy in Md February 6, 2008 at 9:48 pm

NC is missing Ty Lawson big time tonight…Duke is creamin’ em’ in Chapel Hill right now, 42 – 31.

18 Opaque and Bruised February 6, 2008 at 9:48 pm

Ambivalent white guy!

LOL!

19 Jay Bee February 6, 2008 at 9:49 pm

1:41 to play, we’re down 3, they have the ball.

20 DaVonn Obama Jefferson February 6, 2008 at 9:49 pm

This game is over guys!!

How many is that in a row now?

21 DaVonn Obama Jefferson February 6, 2008 at 9:50 pm

Jamal has 21 points on 5 of 15 ahooting…..wow!!!

22 Bronxboy in Md February 6, 2008 at 9:50 pm

@ Opie (short for Opaque…lmao)…

I say we play the younguns and see what we’re working with, that way we could tank games under the guise of development of young platers…

AND PLAY THE FOR BIG FISH IN THE DRAFT!!!!!!

23 Jay Bee February 6, 2008 at 9:50 pm

Rush with the Mediterranean Jumper. Crawford with two free throws. We’re down three again.

24 Jay Bee February 6, 2008 at 9:52 pm

Dunleavy and Murphy are the 1a and 1b winners of the Pippen-Rodman Ugliest Man in the NBA award.

25 Jay Bee February 6, 2008 at 9:54 pm

Crawford jacks up a shot rather than take it to the hole. They are shooting free throws. We’re down 6. Lights fading…

26 Jay Bee February 6, 2008 at 9:55 pm

38 seconds and a whole lotta hope.

27 Opaque and Bruised February 6, 2008 at 9:56 pm

“@ Opie (short for Opaque…lmao)…”

I set myself up for that one but the way the Knicks are playing I guesse it’s apropriate.

Yep it’s a good guys.

Why does Isiah continue to bang his head against the wall in the name of “getting us to the playoffs!”

Two straight at home.

Better effort tonight.

There playing better.

But yest another loss.

Goodnight yall!

28 DaVonn Obama Jefferson February 6, 2008 at 9:57 pm

Knicks lose their 7th in a row.

Second loss in a row at home to struggling teams.

Am I the only one that sees we need change?

Nobody else can see that?

29 Jay Bee February 6, 2008 at 9:57 pm

Randolph banks a 3eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!! Three point game!!!!!!! Crawford fired a threeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwshi++++++++++++ airball. Game over.

30 D L T Knicks February 6, 2008 at 9:57 pm

We can’t beat anybody!

Every team plays with us for 3 qts., then they blow us away.

Or we blow ourselves away.

31 Opaque and Bruised February 6, 2008 at 9:57 pm

I’ll be back to see Knicks v. Spurs and to take my punishment like a man for being a ride or die Knicks fan!

32 DaVonn Obama Jefferson February 6, 2008 at 9:58 pm

CHANGE!!!!!!!!!
CHANGE!!!!!
CHANGE!!!!!!!!!

33 Bronxboy in Md February 6, 2008 at 9:59 pm

@ Opie..

“Why does Isiah continue to bang his head against the wall in the name of “getting us to the playoffs!”

That tells you he’s coaching for his life! He knows if they don’t make the playoffs, he’s outta here.

A coach with any type of security builds for the future AKA tanking games.

He has none.

DVJ

Please provide us with your synopsis of what you believe needs to be done with this Knicks team.

Please provide suggestions of which players must go, and what you think we can get for them-even if it is just a bag of chips.

Peaceman please provide us with your version of events and how it is the Knicks will turn this season around.

I’m receptive to all stories but am leaning more towards DVJ’s point of view!

36 D L T Knicks February 6, 2008 at 10:01 pm

Obama

We need changes….YES. But it’s too late for this season.

37 Bronxboy in Md February 6, 2008 at 10:02 pm

I don’t even want to hear what Zeke has to say at the post-game press conference.

38 Opaque and Bruised February 6, 2008 at 10:03 pm

Thomas is still passing the buck in his press conference by suggesting that the turnovers are kiling the team.

That the turnovers are a result of the lack of a true point gaurd.

Whose fault is that?

Who brough in a malcontent headcase to run the point?

39 Opaque and Bruised February 6, 2008 at 10:03 pm

He got up and he looks depressed!

40 Opaque and Bruised February 6, 2008 at 10:04 pm

Only one reporter for the press conference.

Seems like Monty is killing off the MSM. YES!

41 Steady February 6, 2008 at 10:07 pm

Re: #90 LOL.

Steady as IT goes.

KFLL

42 Jay Bee February 6, 2008 at 10:08 pm

Night guys.

43 DaVonn Obama Jefferson February 6, 2008 at 11:31 pm

You asked for it LOL…

1) Fire isiah and his entire staff (except Herb)
2) Hire and new GM/Vice President of Basketball Operations
3) If Dolan wants to look like he cares….fire Mills also and hire a new President.

By doing the above 3 (really 2) things you allow the following to happen.

Move the players we currently have to give us some draft picks and salary relief.

I have to applaud Isiah for the job he did considering what he had to work with but
how many years has it been guys?

We have seen no progress at all and that’s the main reason why he should go.
He has chosen to ride it out with the guys he has and now he must own up to his
mistakes (Curry, Jeffries, Collins)
He doesn’t play Morris or Chandler.
It’s obvious he could be better as a coach.

His run has come to an end.

44 DaVonn Obama Jefferson February 6, 2008 at 11:35 pm

Now don’t get me wrong…I’m not saying to fire Isiah and bring in just anybody.
If we fire Isiah…we have to bring in a West, B Colangelo, his dad or Walsh.
We need somebody that will bring us some credibility and allow us to make
some moves.

45 George M. February 7, 2008 at 12:03 am

Hey DVJ: If Coach/GM Fudd doesn’t make a good solid move by the deadline he WILL be gone at sesons end.To me if nothing happens then that means that Dolan tied his hands and is choking him out for the rest of this season.I don’t know about you but these losses and inconsistent play are stating to choke me out!!!!

46 knicksdefense February 7, 2008 at 12:14 am

what’s up with all these people using “big snax”?

http://radaronline.com/radar-reviews/2006/12/howard_beck.php

47 George M. February 7, 2008 at 12:23 am

BTW DVJ,go to the COSSELLOUT site and read the salary cap myth post in “the book of Isiah” in response to your post #93.Only 5 teams have significant cap space and all 5 are bad teams especially Memphis and Philly. And tell me dude which superstar free agent is gonna want to go to those teams???? The fact is the M.Taylors and the S.Francis’s and J.Rose’s were just bad deals period.Too much 1-dimensional talent all across our roster over the years.
