Still feel the sting from giving the lakers the victory yesterday, but I guess we move on and go to Utah tonight to face a Jazz team with a top-notch home record.
Our old pal Stu Jackson just announced that Renaldo Balkman will be suspended for one game for the flagrant foul elbow he threw at that sissy Laker Sasha Vujacic or however you say his name. Taz will not be available to play tonight due to the 1-game suspension.
I read some of the defenders implying that David Lee was the cause of the loss last night and I urge you to revisit the game. David Lee was one of the players keeping the Knicks in the game. If you’re looking for someone to blame, perhaps look in the direction of the bench.

Simply contrast post 634 from 636 on this thread.
Note the manner of disagreement between the two post.
Also note the qualifying language, and that one of the argument, my argument in # 636 actually suggested a question of causation, not an argument as to why the causation.
So please do not mix up my words with others.
I respectfully disagreed, and I was never part of any Crawford= Wayde, or Kobe crowd.
Also Crawford expends alot of energy on those one on one shake and bakes that result in settling for jumpers, I prefer him on occasion, more often actually, coming of curls or on open spot up jumpers and on ocasion to a lesser extent shaking and backing.
Also noted is the point, which I had made in a prior thread that Marbury is a guard that goes to the rack and will attempt to draw a foul, while Crawford will generally settle for jumpers in the lane.
I said it before in a way this team misses Marbury, of course a mentally stable Marbury is further missed than the Mebury of recent vintage.
Peace and Blessings!
Steady
“Now–Back to our regular programming: I’m sure that someone on the Board has an exciting GM trick up the sleeve to trade their least favorite player today for another team’s anchor young stud–salary cap match or sense be damned. Steady as IT goes.”
LOL!
I figure my recent GMing tirades were included.
No harm no foul, all trade speculation or suggestion is after all just blogging.
@ Mr. STEADY and Mr. Statesman,
Maybe we should “GREAT DEBATE ” that word on the format KnicksD provides?
Bronx, fatique has affected his shot. Then he’s been fatiqued for 8-years. I said it would
average out, so when he is shooting a high percentage (49%), this is out of character, and when he shoots
30% this is out of character. His game will gravitate to 40%, He is what he is. Also to take
27 shots and w/o a free throw attempt is criminal. It says he’s soft, avoiding contact, I’m not sure it says he’s fatigue. Bronx, to say he has shown that he is a WINNER on and off the court. Bro, where have you been.
Crawful has never been on a team that has won 40 games. Crawful has never been to the playoffs.
The truth, ‘Lives’ would say is a mutherf$cker!!
Statesman,
I bet you got no game or skills yourself in B-ball—how’s your shooting percentage? 40%
How’s your game at West 4th—summer time?!!!! You must shoot above 40%, or you’re not a winner, or gonna win, right?
I bet you can’t even make a layup uncontested, can you? 40% maybe!
What’s the chance of the Giants winning? 40%?
What’s the chance of the Mets going to the World Series now that they have Santana? 40%?
What’s the chance everything that you and Modi, mention Jamal Crawford, you mention his 40% shooting percentage? Is the answer— 40%?
What’s the chance, that if ever Peaceman see Rockstar in the street he would stomp a mud hole in him? 40%?
What’s the chance that if you get ChuckFm started he would write a War and Peace blog book explaining to you that’s you’re dead wrong? 40%?
What’s the chance of Eddy Curry next season be all fit and trim—then becoming the second coming of Shaq? 40%?
What’s the chance of the Knicks making the playoffs? 40%?
What’s the chance if ever we would all meet up here one day somewhere, that Tom would show up? 40%?
This is my 40% of WriteOn!!!!
I wonder if KnicksD is suffering from those flu like symptons that have made certain absent knick players less efficient this year.
Need a new thread.
666
LMAO!
The number of the beast and a beastly post.
What are the chances, Monty figures it out before it’s too late- less than %40 percent.
What are the chances, that Marbury will return to Starbury instead of Mebury- less than %40 percent.
What are the chances, the Knicks make the playoffs– propbrably less than %40 percent.
Hahaha!
But seriously Go Ny Go Ny Go!
Anti-,
The sad thing is the 40% post appeared on #666. Otherwise, some FUNNY run-down you’ve got there.
Defenders,
Blogzilla got da bug so we may have to ride this thread into tomorrow. A good thing is that we will eclipse a G (or K) by game time.
Hey Robin–what’s good with the pass codes and saftey protocols for KD. Bring our beloved Blogzilla some chicken soup and a cup of Theraflu so that he can get back to stomping blog-imitators ad wrecking havoc in downtown Gotham. You know what’s good.
KFLL
Steady,
666
What the chance that I should be scared of that number?
40% ???
The number 666 is a symbolic number—that all!!!!
What’s the chances we need an exorcist for post 666? 40%
Lives,
lol
@ Statesman..
I’m not an apologist, bruh…..I am a realist.
I’ve always said that he is what he is….and that’s a flat out scorer….an assassin. You take the good with the bad. Real ballers know that!!
And on that note……
@ Anti, post 666..
I’ve always wondered how many cats in here ever played any REAL BASKETBALL?? I mean really, how many of these cats are truly cognizant of the dynamics of this game, and that’s it so much more than shooting percentages and other statistical data.
Based on some of the comments and some of the (IMHO) ridiculous trade proposals, I can’t help but think that the MSM has truly molded their opinion(s).
Any thoughts??
I ain’t just bloggin.
Lives
Didn’t you mention having a pre-game analysis for this upcoming Knicks v. Sonics matchup.
Here is another player that bears a striking resemblance to a popular figure.
Hope Durant doesn’t inflict fear and horror upon our beloved Orange and Blue tonight.
Statesman, post #658…
BTW, just for clarity sake, I never, EVER said that Crawford was in the same class as Kobe, Wade, or any other top-flight player. I merely stated he’s the closest thing to those that we have on OUR team.
I told you I’m a realist, bruh.
Bronxboy in Md,
I’m gonna do a little reflecting on your above topic and get back with you later?
It would be nice one day we all get together(if possible) to shoot some hoops. Yes, some of us are not that young anymore to go running up and down a court—but it would be nice.
Let me say one thing before I’m lambasted and Anti wants to drive-by me, the offensive Crawford is obviously rididulous and not surprising btw. But what I cannot understand out of any basketball player is….How do you play 51 minutes and only have one foul?
Anti- please stand up and step forward. You’re already out there. Statesman beckons. (LOL)
KFLL
Pssst….hey Tim, c’mere…
“Let me say one thing before I’m lambasted and Anti wants to drive-by me”
Takin’ the nine from Anti….
Get the fuck outta here!!!
@ Anti, post 676…
Sounds good to me. Would love that, bruh!!…
LMAO!
Lil Tim aka Tom has a way of groing on things
Like a cancerous tumor or gangreene…
Get it Gang Greene!
LOL!
Yeah O&B, I did step out there on that one. I’m just muckin’ around today. I still intend to deliver a couple of post before 10:00 but I see time is flying. A beautiful day today.
See DVJ and Barf that’s how it happens.
I give a great thought provoking observation like…..How do you play 51 minutes and only have one foul?
and out come the criminals…
FU Bronx and Anti
BTW, pAntiES, 40% of making the playoffs is pure bullshit, the Knicks would have to win 25 out of their last 36 games to make the playoffs, there’s a about a 2% chance of that happening. O% when you consider who’s running them.
Bronxboy,
Crawford better than Wade—because Crawford has certain skills(like shooting three pointers)that Wade just dont seem to have?
Wade is 26% 3 point shooter!!!!
He’s overrated, big time!
Wade is fast and plays with reckless abandon down low with his hops—-he dangerous in the paint when healthy.
When was the last time Wade was healthy? How close is he ready of being healthy? 40% ???
No, Im not getting started again!!! 40% of lols
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Whoever reaches the 700 hundred poster—gets to buy by all lunch at a restaurant of our choosing and get to see us all eat the food while he just watches, while wearing a I Heart Jerome James white tee shirt for all to see.
O&B, you got that player/character match thing down pat. Durant? LMAOOOOOO
ANTI
Think Crawford should be coming off of more curls, in addition to getting spelled by Mardy and Jones where appropriate?
We’ve seen him come of nice on those curls plays, shoots it off those plays pretty well. Of course alot of energy is also expended having to run through screens to get free.
Mike Dougherty from Knicks Knacks thinks that part of the problem is the need for a true orchastrator at the point.
That would be the counter point to my pro SF answer Charliemach!
I’m almost to 700.
I’m getting closer.
“the offensive Crawford is obviously rididulous and not surprising btw”
That’s how you drew my ire, Tim.
You’re opinion and/or input is unwelcomed here…
Now shoo, git along!!
OBTW….it’s ridiculous how you spelled “rididulous”….
What’s the chance that I will make it?
40%
Tim,
What kind of moniker is Tim?
Get lost and find another blog to rant at—-you’re not welcomed here!!!!
Oh Shyte, they WORDPRESS won’t let me post anymore.
@ B&B…
“Mike Dougherty from Knicks Knacks thinks that part of the problem is the need for a true orchastrator at the point.”…
What else is new?? We’ve been saying that all season.
Marbury was supposed to be THAT guy.
O’k, Clearly I am prograstinating from something important. LOL.
Bronx, that’s not a true statement? He shoots an avg of 17 times a game and shoots 40%. Spelling counts I know. Your still a dick. See you guys on lottery night.
Anti……you’re fired.
Yeah Tiny-Tim….I got a big one. Wanna see???
Tiny Tim
Why am I so alone in the world…
Too bother a band of brothers on another blog
Whycomes b/c I got blackballed before
B/c I’m a blogging Hog.
Tim
What part of the continental US you from.
Don’t need a State just a region.
I get it that your not from Boston?
You Irish?
Tim,
Don’t give up on the Celtics, even though there old and it’s
starting to show, we won’t see them on lottery night! Have
more faith in your team!
Bronx, show to your mother like usual.
B and B, not Irish, nice poetry, did you write Sambo?
Ah Man, I missed 700. I had to step away from the keyboard. I’m outtie. Later guys. Enjoy the afternoon and stop pickin’ on that red meat thrown into the cage. Just fry it.
Tiny Tim from a Christmas Carrol.
I’m all alone in the world!
Peace and Blessings
No Peace, your right, of course I meant we’d hoping and praying for the Knicks to get a great asset on that night. So clever, so funny man, you should write for Letterman.
Tim
Like any other teams other than the Celtics?
I think I recall you mentioning the Bulls.
Me the Knicks and a closet Blazer fan, when their good, which is starting to happen.
Tim
What’s a Sambo?
Like richie sambora?
Like Rambo but with an S?
Tim likes the Knicks too, I hate that about him.
Like and respect Garnett, who wouldn’t
Respect Pierces uncanny game, and he is a competitor, didn’t like that he tried to choke Crawford or instigate stuff on MLK day with Q, who would have beat his ass had Pierce had the sack to meet him outside the lockeroom.
Jesus Shuttlesworth, I’m mum on him.
So you know what this year it might be a return of that classic EA Sports game
“Lakers and Celtics and the NBA Finals!”
Seriously Tim/Tom
So you also like the Knicks.
I guesse this is how you take out your frustration over all the losing and mismanagement of the Franchise huh?
Wow are you a tortured soul.
At a point of absudity and dispair I just start poking fun at things so I don’t break down in a rubber room with a straight jacket crying my eyes off over the Knicks.
But this Blog is like therapy.
This has been a horrible road trip obviously. I find myself once again drawn to ESPN’s sports crack machine and come up with this……..
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=429~498~25~61~556~990~1718~509&teams=18~23~18~17~18~17~23~23&te=&cash=
Obviously our pick and NJ’s pick would have to be included for Sac to even blink on this trade. It allows them to be so far under the cap by the time the big free agents are looking for new deals, they may be able to land a superstar. Meanwhile they get to fill in the gaps in their line up w/ our and NJ’s picks.
Joisey would get to make another run at a title without a long rebuilding process while assesing their need for Kidd’s replacement and an offensive C to go along with newly acquired defensive Swift.
Do I have to point out why the Knicks would want to make this trade ? So many positives to this move for NY its rediculous.
Kidd/Nate
Crawford/Q
Artest/Balkman
Zbo/Lee
Miller/Jeffries
Besides the addition by subtraction factor.
I’d run w/ that all the way to 1st in the east !!!!
OK so I’m dreaming. What else do I have to do in this miserable season ???
ps. on my last post……..
Maybe we could even get a servicable back up C w/ Rose’s contract this off season to complete the package. Or even sign Magliore if the Kings let him walk at seasons end.
Mr. Statesman,
I believe the topic at the time WAS Crawford.
What does living in the city (DC) have to do with your knowledge of hoops, or lack thereof?
As for where I (we) currently reside, I think you know that it’s so unimportant…
What’s important is that you know where we’re FROM.
And OBTW….I’m not rich, but I can put up enough moolah to back up the fact that you’ll never score buckets on me off the wrong foot…..lol
Enjoy yourself at the Hamptons….give Dross my regards.
