what’s the difference between:
a laughing stock and a respected basketball team?
jeckle and hyde?
a playoff team and a lottery team?
the Knicks team that won last night and the Knicks team that reached a new low against Boston?
Milwaukee and Utah are decent teams, so how is it that we can beat decent teams but not show up at all against the top team? It is a mystery to me, even if Boston has blown out some of their other opponents this season as I have expected they would.
The Knicks have won three of the last four, three in a row at home, but have also been blown out more than once in their past five games.
So will the real New York Knicks please stand up?
Please stand up. Please stand up. Please stand up.
But seriously, I’m not sure exactly what NY has for a basketball team this season. Yes there are some great individual talents on the squad, but as a team, is it the playoffs, or is it a bust?

MAKUNAT is King of the Monkeys!
Breath so bad it would make a maggot gag!
Peaceman, you know that for sure. Going to fold after 50 games. Ok, tell you what, I say they fold after 45. At this current winning % that will give them 39 wins if they don’t win one more after game 45. That will be 4 wins more than the Knicks after 82.
That’s your guys only defense, injuries? OMG, keep praying that players get hurt. If any of your players got hurt nobody would notice. I’ll take the old guys.
Never trust a Celtics fan. Especially one that says, “oh, I just want your team to do well.” Fake faggot. Don’t camouflage. Next time you enter, shout out that you hate the Knicks and any other vile you wish to spew. At least you would be respected. In the meantime, revel in your 4-week success.
Yes Harlem it was silly. And you never provoked me since then either. Another silly thought.
s Lou Holtz’s rousing pep talk for Isiah Thomas, Stephon Marbury, and the New York Knicks.
http://www.postingandtoasting.com/story/2007/12/1/15528/0055
I already implied you were a faggott. You can’t comeback with that Harlem. BTW I replied the first time I was asked that I hate theKnicks and Thomas. Was only respected by the smart posters, hehe.
Oh-oh, are you going to need to see my face again?
Yea, show us face man!
Quotes by TOM
“everyone knows I’m a Celtic fan, hate Isiah and wish the Knicks nothing but misery.”
“Quite frankly, the one main difference between the Celticsblog 2004-2007 and Knicksdefense 2007 other than the obvious is that the former makes realistic trade scenarios based on facts, salaries, contracts, opposing team’s situation and fit to each team. I don’t see that often here. It needs to happen, if you want change, management needs to understand where the intelligent fans are coming from. ”
“Anti,
Your delusional []. See Harlem, O and B”
“If you don’t want to hear anti-Knick opinions, then smoke some crack and shut yourself out of reality you nitwit,…”
Lets call a spade a spade.
1. He questions our collective intelligence.
2. He calls us delusional.
3. He makes ad homynms against the regulars
4. He didn’t validate where my commentary is delusional, matter of fact I conceded a point to DVJ’s proposed trade with the reservation that we wait and see a little on whether E-city would adapt to a different role on the Knicks where scoring would be his secondary role.
All that said I won’t treat you with utter disrespect Tom.
I am just very skeptical of an enemy giving us “advice”
Sort of like when the Chief Pontiac and his indian nations happened to recieve a gift of SMALL POX laden blankets from the United States as a token of peace!
If an ally who is true in the spirit of a positive and constructive commitment to the Knicks proposes changes, I’ll listen and give feedback.
But no why is PRESIDENT JACKSON going to pitch advice to this Indian about what’s best for me and mine and that includes the Knicks.
Hey Tom
Other than the athletes in Beantown how much color is there. Barry Bonds knows what’s good with Boston! Heck that bit of white guilt won’t redeem your all white fanbase.
As Statestman says
“Peace and Blessings”(No smallpox)
Ok, Tom you win. I’m a faggott. Kniks aren’t that good I just need to be a part of something and my mom says I can’t be in a gang.
O and B,
I’m not from Beantown.
The rest of you, I’m done talk amongst yourself.
Tom
You can’t start the parade until you win!
It’s so early in the season, your team will start to
fall apart next week! Like I said, OJ Mayo’s Grandmother
is off limits! Watch Dallas, the Spurs, Suns and Magic bury
the Celtics! They will be done before the all star break!
The Knicks will STOMP the Celtics in the Garden! Watch!
Don’t go away mad Tom!
Just go away!
The Knicks will STOMP the Celtics in the Garden! Watch!
I believe that—didnt want to hurt Tom feelings and spell it, his name intimidates me!!!lol
The police
At least I’m going after a female, leave it to a homo to bring up a parade. Are you the police guy in Village People?
1. I never said the celts were going to win a championship, I think they need some more players. I say they finish 1st or 2nd in the East.
2. Dallas, Spurs, Suns bury everyone!
3. Knicks may win at the garden, bury is a stretch. Won’t be by 42 or whatever.
Tom
Lots of Gay bars in Boston huh?
I bet you get Shit faced every time you go in one!
ESPN Power Rankings
TEAM (LAST WK) REC. BREAKDOWN
1 Boston (1) 11-1 Off: 111.2 (4), Def: 97.1 (1)
26 New York (28) 3-9 Off: 101.4 (25), Def: 109.3 (23)
That was funny police, but I already called you gay. Once again I don’t live in Boston.
Tom just knew his roomate was gay!
He confirmed it when he tasted his cock and it tasted like shit!
That’s funny.
Make me laugh jokeman!
Tom
To show you, although I really am not obliged to do so, that I am even capable of giving respect to the opposition check the following blurb by me out.
“You know what about the C’s.
While none of their “big three” has ever won anything, all especially KG and Pierce have been deep into the playoffs and known what it’s like to come up short of being in the big stage of the NBA Finals. Mix that in with the humble pie of having to play with subpar teams that did not compliment there individual level of effort and professionalism and you’ll understand why they appear to play every game with such “intensity,” and appear to command their scrubs to perform better than expected.
All that said I will always be a Knicks fan and I will boo the C’s untill I am Blue in the face!
I want blood against them next time we play them. We better be competitive and get back at them especially at MSG!”
That was written in our host previous blurb and yes I thought the Knicks loss to your team by that margin was unacceptable.
But that doesn’t make me change my stripes as to who I decide to route for.
You make fun of the people here for thier fandom but at least the guys here are DIE HARD KNICK FANS!
We all have pointed out what we percieve to be the teams deficiencies have considered trade scenarios and have called the team out when we believed the teams performance was unacceptable so we don’t need to prove anything to you.
You came in with respect but you understand why some, like myself, would question your motives.
And when you berate my fellows on this blog with utter disrespect to their intelligence and lifestyle your stepping over the line in my eyes.
Glow in your teams success, and perhaps the route your GM took was best given its overall previous futility.
But with the Knicks perhaps the current heads, whether illogical or later showed to be logical, are following their own plan. Will work in the long run? So far it’s very questionable? But whose to stay that not generally staying the course will not eventually produce positive results? Thus just like no one here can read the tea leaves for the Celtics and their future succes, or lack there of, no one can read the future as to this current Knicks team with any certainty.
Statesman said it best, when he talked about this team needing to develop an identity and that that road wouldn’t be easy but that doesn’t mean I will commit harakiri after every stumbling block on to that road.
Peac and Blessings
Washington just retired the Pearl’s Jersey at half time!
He’s got one at the Garden too!
Bill Walton is a dickhead!
Did Walton get Mr. Ed’s teeth transplanted when Mr. Ed died?
– agree with statesman’s take on Marbury-Jamal
– agree with great post by Harlem yesterday somewhere before we reached 100. Cant remember
– agree that anyone who is not respectful in their critique of this site as a whole deserves a beatdown. Although we don’t all agree this is the only free-thinking Knicks sit on the web that is unincumbered by MSM.
– The only reason that the celts are relevent is because Ainge’s boy Mchale hooked up the Celtics. I really don’t think that too many other teams even had a chance. The Bulls could have certainly put together a better package. Mchale helped his old franchise and Ainge lucked out. Period.
MODI
It is a valid opinion on how the “big three” got to beantown! Of course when a team is succesful any critique against it is minimized, see Bellichick’s Spy Gate, his affair with a paramour outside of wedlock, Brady’s out of wedlock child etc etc. But when you loose and loose in a media circus all your flaws are magnified a gazillion fold and anything good is discounted or disregarded.
Would you agree that the Media lens in NY against the Knicks at times works more like a cruel kids magnifying glass shined on a helpless ant?
I think I have a point there.
Peace out!
MODI
What else does Marbury have to do to show you he makes everyone
around him worse? I was always a Marbury fan, but I’m not blind!
If you believe Marbury was really hurt last night, then you’ve wasted
a lot of great insight in your articles! Open your eyes MODI!
Your in denial! The Book of Isiah should omit this 3 week tragedy!
If Zeke stays the course with Marbury, he goes down in flames!
Last night was the Truth! You can’t hide the truth! We won because
Marbury absents lifted up this team!
What’s up Defenders
Just doing a quick pop-in,working this weekend and haven’t had a chance to catch up on today’s posts.
Peaceman,#129
It does seem like things go bad with Steph around. NJ,Phoenix,Minnesota all wished him out of town. This is a talented player, so why does no one seem to want him……..his character, that’s it!
The only reason I don’t want the Knicks to trade him is to take that large 21 million off the cap next year. Or,maybe if Sac will rebuild and take him in an Artest trade.
But Steph (and I said this before) can not lead.
STATESMAN
that’s really funny that you tried to go there. Not sure who annointed you the ultimate knicks fan, but there are no conditions on my knicks fan status. if they never won another game this season I’d still be a knicks fan.
In general, if they lose and play well, I’m going to commend them, if they lose and play like sh*t, I’m going to rip them, and if they win, well, ALL of us here with the exception of TOM are happy.
by the way, the last time I mentioned David Lee about anything it was during the first week of the regular season, so that is simply a crock of sh*t. flat out. just like the point of view that I can’t watch a basketball game with my own eyes and have an opinion about what I’m seeing without the MSM distorting or coercing or brainwashing me.
you’re not even respectful enough to call people by their own names. have fun starting saveisiah.com
On the Daily News Blog I Posted:
To Trane and Pete since both of you are high fiving each other posts: Trane, I can’t recall ever encountering you blogger to blogger…not that I personally wanted to. But this time I do. You see I’ve been reading your thoughts criticizing those who hate the media of those who hate the Knicks, and I assume I’m one of those guys who hates on the media who hate the Knicks. Am I not, Anti-NYSportsNews? First, I must thank you, because you have given me a spark to finally have ameaningful, intelligent, discussion about the Knicks team that we call ourselves wanting to root for. A bringing of the minds, you can say. On November 29th you ask some, what I found
to be interesting and thought provoking questions. And I’m whole in agreement of responding to your non-rhetorical questions in a “civil” manner. As long you don’t start none, it won’t be none.
Of course, I can only speak for myself, and the other Knicks Defenders would have no problem each speaking for themselves in expressing why they feel what they feel regarding the media, I am sure. But if you ever took a look at my BlogSpot webpage, Introducing Anti-NYSportsNews, you would have read why I became and chose the Moniker I did. I find that what I wrote then is, in light of what I know now, is quite apparent that I wasn’t far off base—-which the Knicks were indeed being hated on by the media. Indeed, in light of the Observers’ article—-it’s quite telling—-why it is some writers like Frank Isola, Vaccaro, Vecsey, and Lupica do write the way they do against the Knicks and their management. The expression “proof is in the pudding” whatever that expression really means, I think applies to what I am about to insert. The Observer’s article: Frank Isola said, “You can get stale on the beat,” he continued, “I shouldn’t be doing this anymore after 12 years. If everything was status quo and if everything was great, I probably would be the wrong guy to have on it. But now I’m the right guy to have on it because they’re trying to screw me over, and by trying to screw me over, it kind of lights a fire in you a little bit. It makes you more motivated to find STUFF out and EXPOSE what’s going on here.” Can you speak up Frank, to make sure the readers here reads you correctly, and knowing what you are really trying to say: Frank Isola: “I said, it makes you more motivated to find STUFF out and EXPOSE what’s going on here.” Ok, that’s what I thought, and many here reading, thought that is what we thought we were reading. (If that makes sense? lol) Anyway, what Frank Isola admitted is very telling. Very telling indeed. Speaking only for myself here, and in light of the Observer’s article, I’m sure, we all understand what Frank Isola and his other in Anti’s Doghouse residents admitted, I found to be very revealing and striking at the same time. Although giving me personally a better understanding of why they write what they write when covering the Knicks. And it may be half of the reason, and more to it at that. But I will stick with what was presented in the Observer’s article. “Why don’t you guys get on Dolan?” Trane asked us Defenders. Okay, basically, I see where you’re going with these questions thingy. You asking and saying that James Dolan and his Knicks should and is deserving of the bad press they receive because of Dolan’s so-called media hating policy and in how they (Knicks’ beat writers) are treated. That essentially James Dolan’s Ill treatment of the writers, is James making his bed (treating the writers bad…) and now sleeping in it (…resulting in the bad press they receive). “Why don’t you guys get on Dolan?” Well, speaking for myself, I won’t go to hating James Dolan or go all Anti-Dolan anytime soon, because Dolan doesn’t write the bad press that his Knicks’ team receives. That’s why. I mean If James Dolan did write bad press about his team, the Knicks, wouldn’t that be counter productive? Of, course, and did I really need to had had asked that question? Well, for some readers here, maybe. I mean didn’t you, Trane, ask that question above. So I gave you an answer. Another thing is, I don’t know James Dolan personally, probably I would one day because I’m writing a movie, and I’d like to showcase the Garden in it…but anyway, only James Dolan and perhaps some members of his staff knows fully why he treats and continues to treat the Knicks beat writers “supposedly” bad the way he does. Mike Lupica continual spewing out hatred and garbageness with anything Knicks is not helping these slighted writers’ cause. (Read the “Toothless dogs Has Lost Their Bite” on my BlogSpot.) “Isn’t it also possible Frank just happens to think the Knicks sucks?” (In that, he certainly wouldn’t be alone.) Of course I can realize that Franks believes at times the Knicks do, so called “suck” (recent Boston game REALLY “sucked”). But sometimes they don’t “suck” (like the game against Utah). (In that understanding, I certainly wouldn’t be alone). My reading of the Knicks management defender is that they can tolerate absolutely no criticism of I Lord Thomas, what-so-ever. Now, see, Trane, this is where you are wrong. I’m going to go all cut and paste right about now on ya, dropping a quote from my friend and fellow Knicks’ Defender, Lives in New Jersey, Loves New York. Where as I couldn’t had wrote it any better—-but with this paragraph—-what it does is captures for me personally how I felt when I first became Anti-NYSportsNews, even now: “Man, we are here because we are FANATICAL about our PASSION for our TEAM. We are JOINED HERE now because WE BELIEVE in the potential of this team under this management, AT THIS TIME. That does not mean that we will not be critical. It is precisely because we believe that we may be more critical of the failure of OUR PLAYERS and COACH to do better. But make no mistake about it, MOST OF US EXPECT BETTER. We want these people to do well. We are not here because we EXPECT FAILURE or because we WISH FOR FAILURE. WE ARE CRITICALLY FAITHFUL. And if they don’t COMPLY, then WE WILL LET THEM KNOW, game by game, possession by possession.” With those words I conclude this now.
Trane and Pete, one more thins I’m here to encourage your guys to check yourself before you wreck yourselves. A number of times I came across statements from you guys that are seems plain asinine in its reasoning. Trane you keep on harboring statements with perceived notions that some people feel, using your quote: ““every win is a good win” is simply ludicrous.”
Well how ludicrous is losing a game when you played hard to win, but losing anyway?
Winning is all that matters—-and losing is never good.

It’s been a long time since I have been able to respond to the kind words and comments of a bunch of my boys, so I thought I would take a little time to blow out my keyboard with a shot gun shout out.
I see someone dropped a rat in the cage for you guys to play or slap around with while we wait for the real “earning” to continue. Gotta give Tom credit for holding his own, but thank goodness he decided to do his Pee Wee Herman imitation on a blog and not at a dark theatre otherwise he would have been arrested in 50 states and Burma. They need to retire McHale’s suit and tie and hang it in the Greenie’s Garden Rafters and give him an appreciation ceremony for helping his fellow alums grow balls and become relevant again. Enjoy it now, it won’t last forever. (I see MODI at #127 is on the same vibe).
Defenders you crack me up; you got Tom writing like he hasn’t supported a winner before: “Are you the Police guy in village People?” O’k that was rich troll dropping.
Post-Up @ 94, I was sorta thinking along those back-to back lines. Before the game, I noted in my non-analysis that Zeke had to play two games (not one) that Garden night and be concerned about putting out too much against the Celtics when a win against the Bucks was more likely at this time. Still, that is really no excuse for such a dismal showing. That should not have a lot to do with the effort of the squad put on the floor.
But one thing I learned especially from viewing Pat Riley’s teams and the 76ers in their Championship runs was that a blowout counts for only one loss and that for players, often a one point loss in regulation or overtime is far more devastating and tiring. On a given night, even great teams get blown out. It counts as 1 loss. We are 3-1 in our last four games. Progress.
Oh and I take Zeke at his word as to why Nate did not play. As we were watching Redd, Afrcian and I were sharing the observation that Redds release is too quick for a N8 or for anyone not holding his face while he is shooting. Sweet. Quick. Accurate. Jones was a great choice, but even more telling was that Jones was ready to play. Zeke has not lost his team, at least not his entire team. Jones is taking this summer’s Wally Pipp motivational seriously; he’s praying for a chance to take Steph’s spot. Gotta love it.
From Anti at #106 Night and Day.
Man, I knew ESPN (BSPN) would find a way to make money (create content) off the Knicks. That Lou Holtz pep talk was a hoot. Either he had a little taste before coming to the studio or he put in the wrong set of dentures. He sounded like he had marbles in his mouth and a fog settling in his mind, but he had two great lines: “The only difference between champ and chump is “u.”“ and “You shoot foul shots like somebody’s guarding you.” But that speech shows why he is imitating a coach and not being one these days, although he could go back and coach Notre Dame to a better record than Weiss.
And my man Anti at #132. Write On and way to represent. I haven’t been to the Daily Spews in a very long time. I have lost total respect for Isola’s droppings but I wonder what Trane’s response was. Trane is a smart guy, but is blinded by his fake attempt to portray hinself as “objective.” Siding with the MSM kills that case. I love that Observer article for putting it out there and it should be posted on all MSM sites with regularity. Frank cna no longer deny that he has been a hater all along. I remember him crying about being called a “hater.” Well, if the label fits, stop trying to scrape it off; you’ll only draw blood.
Fella’s, (esp. Cooleyhigh, John Q #5 @ Promo Codes, ) Peaceman dropping that early dime on Jamal’s shooting before the game was uplifting and sweet. Go on Peace with the insider intel. We’re listening.
St_George are you “Kandiman.” BARF is sniffing that DNA at #125 (Promo Codes) and you know how good Defenders are with that CSI kit. Note, being Kandiman is not a bad thing, but I think Kandiman is driving a states’ side philosophy. Solve that mystery for us St_George, please.
BARF you’re making that summer failure to give you the SB’s “shiny stuff” straight up look like a colossal snub. I agree with Cooley at #326 about the high quality of your in-game posting skills. Your Utah team of Dr. Harlem, Dr. Bronxboy, DVJ, Vic Corbit, St. George, with a cameo by Knicksome, were at their best. Fun read. Better victory. I’m going to try to make time to hang out with you guys later in the season.
TMAN at #337 (Promo Codes) your Curry observation was a little disheartening, but right on target. I was very happy though that Curry really liked the ovation he got for those last second blocks. He made a much greater effort in the Milwaukee game. He clearly desires to be much better. He just needs someone to model the behavior for him. Clearly, a nice family man.
JAMAL CRAWFORD. That apology seals the deal for me. I am a Jamal Crawford man. I have always enjoyed his interviews and his demeanor, but I appreciate his spirit even more. That was some leadership move. The Knicks won and he still apologizes. Another sign that Zeke has not lost the whole team. That was the second best move of the night. A winning basket was the first.
Note: I’m glad Fred Jones didn’t have to explain that last second dunk. Therefore, I won’t try to explain it either. Good win.
Steady, Anti, African, Modi, BARF and Cooleyhigh and any Defenders I missed, thanks for the shout-outs on the Folly Chronicle Notes Folly thank you for the long response. I’ll need to go over it again when I get a chance and give you a little response. With a cursory glance it appears that you are writing more to your blog wide critics than to the points I raised. Your continual longing for social acceptance on a blog is a bit bizarre. Were you the poster who asked me to put in a good word for you to get the regulars off your back. If that was you, I, I, I am at a loss for words at this time. Bizarre.
MODI at #419 Promo Codes. Required Reading. Excellent.
JayBee with an auspicious start. Some of you sounds like some of me. Man, do your thing. There are no monopolies in here. We need your pre-game commentary. The prophet strikes again……….
Source: Comeback Against Bucks Saves Isiah Thomas, Knick Coaches
December 2, 2007 – 6:03 am
New York Daily News –
Isiah Thomas’ claim that coaching in New York is like being on death row every day is a feeling that his assistant coaches apparently experienced Friday night as well.
According to a source, before the Knicks’ dramatic comeback victory over Milwaukee, at least two assistant coaches said that if the team suffered another blowout loss they were convinced that Thomas and the coaching staff would be fired. Three hours later, the Knicks overcame a 17-point, second-half deficit and won in the final minute.
Garden chairman James Dolan, who has not spoken publicly on Thomas’ job status since last March, was not seated in his customary baseline seats at the Garden for a third straight home game, according to the New York Daily News. There is a possibility that Dolan could have watched any one of the last three home games from a luxury suite. Garden president Steve Mills also was conspicuously absent.
It is unclear if the two assistant coaches had been told by Thomas that no one would survive another ugly loss or if the coaches based their feelings on the fallout from an embarrassing 45-point defeat to Boston one night earlier on national television.
During the TNT broadcast, studio analyst Charles Barkley speculated about Thomas’ job security, saying, “He’s about as safe as me in a room full of cookies. If I’m in a room full of cookies, the cookies ain’t got no damn chance.”
Later, Barkley said that if the Knicks lost to Milwaukee, “I think it could be (Thomas’) last game.”
The coaches also are losing patience with Eddy Curry, whose defensive shortcomings are being exposed each night. Thomas, however, denied that he is disappointed in Curry’s play.
“With Eddy we’ve just got to find a way for him to impact the game on the defensive side of the ball,” Thomas said.

KFLL
linjlny, this is the second time you’ve offered non-flattering comment on one of my long bits after only a cursory glance. i can’t say i get that. i took the time to read your long-ass bit and lots more time (prolly a couple hours, tho it’s so rough it don’t look like it) to write my own long-ass response to each and every one of your points (hell i even numbered them as you did yern to make it easier to follow). if you come away thinking i was addressing other bloggers and not your points, that’s only because you didn’t really read it. man, i’d rather you not read it and not comment (skip pass?) than skim thru and snark out of ignorance (in the literal sense). i’m not a totally impatient man, i can wait for a thoughtful response.
in any event, i’m just as tired as any of you of this psychoanalyzing stuff. i’ve been as up-front and candid with a bunch of strangers as any manly-man might dare. if i get called, “gay,” for it, that’s ok, nbd, i can handle that. but this does get boring after a while.
nah, my blogging persona over the years is not really about social acceptance. i have my lil clique of meatspace buds and i’m good with that. online i’ve traditionally been wayy more of a gadfly than “joiner.” that said, yes, in here i thot i was joining a cabal of mostly like minds/spirits (at least as far as the anti-knick/zeke-msm). it’s taken some time to feel like i have my place at the trough — at times i wasn’t sure if i should bother to try — but i’m there now. ‘cept for the one crazy buffalo soldier, i feel like i’d prolly get a slap on the back and allowed to buy a round were i to meet youse in a bar. i’m respected for my pluck if not always my content.
the beef all started about a month ago in the knicks bounce back thread where me an a guy who deems himself an african went back an forth on the issue of demetris nichols. it was all pretty civil, fun-tinged stuff (hell i even backed the guy on one point @ #32) til i got the first msm salvo @ #81. my response at #91, and in fact throughout the entire thread, was respectful if argued forcefully.
since then our interaction has been pretty bitter. honestly, i think it’s all ego stuff. he can’t stand the fact some newbie didn’t bow down and acknowledge his war vet status. and on my part, i’m just too stubborn sometimes. i don’t have much respect for guys who’re so sensitive to differing opinion they’re hair-trigger-quick to drop the bomb.
and that’s basically it. i’ll go round for round and pound for pound with my brother “african” for as long as he cares to keep dancin in the squared circle, but frankly i don’t think he’s in my weight class. i don’t have any enduring beef with anyone else.
nah, man. that wasn’t it. what i was saying (couldn’t find the link. ‘zilla?) was the reason LGM was kissin up to you earlier is cuz you pull weight in here. IF you were to call others off us (remember i was linked with lgm as msm/troll cuz i dared disagree with “african” over curry), then they’d largely comply. if your last long bit was that loud clarion call to withdraw, dag, my bad, i missed it somehow. much obliged tho.
again tho, enough of this. everybody’s reasonably cool with everybody else except tom vs. pretty much this blog, davonn vs. some wary defenders and me vs. “african.” i think that’s about it. let’s move on, shall we?
Good afternoon my brethern on KnicksD
I was tracking your back and forth about the leadership issues on this team and I figured I’d link you up to some articles which you guys probrably already read.
A New York Time article on the issues ot the teams lack of leadership.
Magic Johnson’s response to the question of the Knick’s lack of leadership.
Steady, I will never take off my orange and blue….but I don’t have to cheer them on the way other fans do.
Don’t forget that’s the same paper that reported the Isiah Steph fight first before anybody else.
That’s why I call them “The Prophet”
The Knicks will always be my team and anybody that’s been blogging with me for the past couple years knows that.
Thet also know that I will never be a “Hater” or whatever it is.
I’m for tough love not kissy kissy shit.
This team makes so much money, you can’t treat them like they the Hawks or Grizzlies.
When I played ball, my coach was very strict in high school and both of my college coaches were strict also.
That’s something they need. It really does make me wish we could get Bobby Knight. He would kick this teams ass!!!!
Charles
Keep plugging away.
You’ve put in some defender resolve after our tanking in Beantown.
No beef with you!
Do you thang!

Your point on tough love is well put.
I think you’ll see that I call a spade a spade when I see it.
Although I might be a tad more patient than you to see if the guys here can develop further or adapt to new roles.
However, I aint waiting years or even past this season, maybe not even past the trade deadline if some players fail to show a clear tendency to adapt or improve.
Much respect to you.
Good afternoon my brethern on KnicksD

A New York Time article on the issues ot the teams lack of leadership.
Magic Johnson’s response to the question of the Knick’s leadership issues.
Finally an article on Crawford’s apparent emergence as a leader on the Knicks.
Contrast that with the following article about Marbury’s apparent disruption of team cohesion –i.e., a question of Marbury’s ability to rally the team behind him “leadership”.
DVJ,
Whhhhhushh, at least now you have added the ” ” around prophet. I translate that to mean facetiousness/tongue in cheek, irony, etc. My message to MSG is: find out who’s talking to this callous cat and FIRE him/her on the spot.
And I do recall your DNA from your past entries. Thanks for sharing. More–one person’s kissy-kissy is another person’s foreplay. You know what’s good.

Here are some links to articles regarding our Big Boy in the Middle Eddy Curry.

Both the articles seem to note Curry’s difficulties in the new twin towers power post offense. Also the articles discuss Zeke’s hope that Curry will direct his efforts on the defensive end when his offense is not flowing.
My question on this topic is Do you guys think Curry needs a guru/Defensive big man coach? I mean Howard seems to be developing face up moves and has worked with both Ewing and a shooting coach to expand his offensive game. Perhaps Curry could use a Hakeem Olajuwan to coach some defense, shot blocking and timing on rebounds etc, to our E Munster?
Please advise.
Last gasps before I retire for the evening and get all amped up for the game versus Pheonix.
Did you guys catch the article by Ken Berger in Newsday in which he speculates on what following dilema it might be to just blow up the team and change courses now. Seems like Kenny has been reading KnicksDefense.
Also I am trying to draw a person under the cloak of jezeble to Knicksdefense, seems like that person has the right stuff and appears to be a real fan.

Boston having problems with a Lebronless Cavs team.

You’re a little weird.
Check that…..a lot weird.
You’re an outsider that longs for acceptance even when you’re accepted.
You need everyone to sing your praises in order to function.
Your insecurities are shining brightly.
You need help.
