The Knicks have simply been blown out the building in their last two games. Other than Curry and Randolph getting their touches every game, this is a Knicks team struggling to find their identity on the court, something they should have worked out in training camp.
New York also struggled last season during the month of November, but the brawl helped turn things around for the Knicks who began to play .500 basketball until injuries ruined any shot at making the playoffs for the first time in years.
Despite the resurgence of teams like the Celtics and the Magic, the Pistons (6-4) still consider themselves the elite team in the eastern conference. They’re currently in first place in the Central Division and have just returned home from a five game road trip. Again, don’t let their modest record fool you, this is a tough group that plays very good team-oriented basketball.
The keys to a Knick win will be the same as they were for the Warriors game:
Defend the three point line
Limit turnovers to about 12-14
Get the ball inside
Move the ball (no over-dribbling, no over-reliance on isolation freelance scoring)
Get to the line often and make them count
The Pistons have the added advantage of being a veteran team with years of experience playing together, but that should be no excuse for this Knicks team. New York just has to come out of the gates with more desire and confidence to win the game tonight. Isiah should change the lineup if things continue to go south as the Knicks contend for the worst record in the NBA.
Why not try sitting Crawford next? Between Randolph, Curry and Crawford, there are too many high-turnover players in the starting five. Just those three players last night coughed it up 14 times total. That’s unacceptable if you’re looking to win a basketball game. And for those that think you need Crawford in to get Curry going? You may have a point, but Curry’s offensive significance was reduced by the arrival of Zach Randolph, and Crawford has a tendency at times to ruin team flow with his freelance scoring mentality.
I’m not anti-crawford, I just think if Isiah is going to sit Marbury for four games for the betterment of the team, why stop there? Why not give Wilson Chandler or Jared Jeffries some of Q’s starting small forward minutes and slide Q to the shooting guard position?

Knicks Owner Not Concerned With Winning. Bullcrap title aside, it’s actually a fairly even-handed (for msm) article.
Tonight’s contest is a battle over who’s least impressed with their head coach. Has zeke lost his lockerroom? Tonight should tell. C’mon, zbo, get back on track!
Davonn:
What type of toast are you talking about. Toast like fired? Milk toast? What are you talking about?
This is KnicksDefense, did you accidentally forget and thought you were posting elswhere?
The official site of the NYKnicks doesn’t have anything about Isiah being toasted. What-up?
Whoah! St_George, I think you’ve hit the nail on the head re the mindset of this site. Blogzilla still oughta put up a code of conduct page when he has the time.
Re our AWOL pahdna, I’m thinkin the bulb is out on the African Signal.
Fuh troot St_George!
Statesman has dubbed DVJ our GM so he must be on to sum’n or he’s Just Bloggin’.

Great idea ChuckFM,
The waters across the Bay of Pigs are choppy with it being hurricane season until Nov. 30 so I will flash the signal over into Guantanamo and see if our African shows up. He could be in Liberia negotiating for the new AFRICOM base siting. Two hour To go–any more theories on where oh where our African hath gone?

Sorry to say Kobe was toast last night!
This may be the last time we blow out the Bulls without Kobe on the team! lol
I like that little hard toast that topped with nice chopped tomatoe sauce and mozarella (Yum. Yum). As I was reminded once when I ordered “toast” the cultured call it bruschetta.
Speaking of words, Steady you lost me on Okidoke. I thought the Okidoke was either 1) skip pass, 2) a fake move or feigned commitment involving misdirection, 3) a lie or 4)just plain bullschetta as opposed to brushette. Please advise. Nevertheless we do need that $5000, I think my boy was abducted several games ago by a coalition of Nazi’s, Drossmans and Snark Pussyettes.
You know what’s good. LGK.
Sorry States. I wanted to acknowledge your request, but I couldn’t fit it in. I’ll make it up to you in the middle of this (or the subsequent) little winning streak we’re about to build.
LGK
Yo me peeps, me fears dat Drossman done dissapeared African!
Just like him did to Charley Ward!
Lives,
One man’s bruschetta is a po’boy’s mini pizza. Kids love it! Sorta like our Balkman to the King’s Artest. So if you say we need the dough for our African and he can’t skip pass paying BARF then I guess it was an Okidoke afterall; feel me (metro)? (LOL)
We know that BARF is Q’d up shopping with his lady so we’ll have to do without both Wally Pipp and Ironman. Maybe the Joker is in the neighborhood today. (LOL)
KFLL
Steady,
LOMA, LOL
LGK.
Peace,
Maysbe Af be with Charlie in the Bermuda Shorts Rectangle. Sucked in by the Coalition of Evil. What Dross!
St._George Beez on the lookout for Af. I have a feeling if we win this afternoon he will regain his super powers and return here to Fortress of Fortitude.
Opps, time to go. No mo playin’
LGK
I’m sorry, that message was for Ali-G.
“Those guys play in a very good system and know where to go at all times,” Marbury said after Detroit’s 98-86 victory. “They have counters to everything that you do defensively and they don’t rely on the first or second option. They get it to the third or fourth option. Playing for Flip, you see the execution. You know what’s going on.”
UNBELIEVABLE. IT has risked his management career on this guy, given him privileged status when it wasn’t totally justified, Traded guys that fought him, gave him plenty of opportunities to control the offense before the high post offense was implemented, got rid of a good coach because of him, etc. Although he had the max contract, NOBODY WANTED HIM WHEN ISIAH ACQUIRED HIM. Phoenix traded him for a bag of balls.
Now Marbury is contributing to Isiah’s demise.
UNBELIEVABLE.
Why is Q still starting?
Now that’s what Peaceman, Anti, Modi and the King were talking about. And me, I’m Steady.
The Knicks must be winning. balkman just hit a jumper. Knicks up by 8. T THomas just fould Balk 5 fouls for on Thomas Let’s go Knicks
Yeah, I bet you beaches are pretty wet right about now.
Knicks 85-78
I told you all. The Spree jersey I saw this AM was the good omen I was looking for. Stephs jersey is now being moved up from the darker recesses of the closet.
