Wow Post-up, with that submission, you move right on top to King of the F'n Hill. I can say you spoke for me in that piece. I am Steady. BARF does the naming here but I will take liberties in calling you PK (Post-up King) or King for short. You're a Prince no more.

Defenders:

I e-mailed the following letter to the msgnetpr@thegarden.com

Attention: James Dolan, Steve Mills, Isiah Thomas

Gentlemen: I have been an avid Knick fan since childhood, whose loyalty to the Knick basketball team dates back to the days of Joe Lapchick and through the glory days of the 1969-1971 Red Holzman era. At no time in the course of following the saga of Knick basketball, not even during the hapless days of the Leyden/Checketts era, have I ever witnessed a spiteful conglomeration of metropolitian sports media bent upon the willful destruction of a team coach, team owner and team players as is currently exhibited by the sports pages of the N.Y. tabloids and sports radio/t.v. commentators. This batch of so called “analysts” hovers over the Knick organization like vultures waiting to pick apart every mishap and turnover on and off the court. Relentlessly hoping to cause dissension and despair as a means of promoting their own self-importance and selling their brand of nflammatory sports “news.”

My best advice to all associated with the well being of the New York Knicks, and especially the owner, coaches and players, is to tune out all the current media hysteria and concentrate on the basketball business at hand. While the Knicks have suffered a poor start to the 07 – 08 season, and without being blind to on and off court imperfections, there are some reasonable explanations: integrating new players (Z. Randolph, F. Jones, W. Chandler) injuries to key players (N. Robinson, R. Balkman, J. Jeffries, J. James) missing players in certain games (Z Randolph, S Marbury), and scheduled “back-to-back” road games—with some questionable end-of-game referee whistles, etc.-- combining in one or more instances for losses in very close games—Miami, Los Angeles, Sacramento. The Knicks could readily be at 5 and 4 instead of 2 and 7 at this point in the season.

Above all, Mr. Dolan, please ignore the jaundiced jingo press demanding that isiah Thomas be fired, and allow the team time to stabilize itself, develop cohesion and find a winning pattern. At this point, caving to the media pressure by removing the coach/general manager will only cause depressing disruption, if not complete chaos. As long as Isiah has the support of his players—of which I am certain, then you may, along with many upbeat stalwart Knick fans (see www. Knickdefense.com) remain confident that the team will exert the energy and will to prevail over the course of 82 games. Do not disrupt what has been a painstaking, dedicated effort to rebuild. The Garden fans will recognize the determination and show support to the team. The wins will come soon enough.

Wishing the entire Knick organization and all Knick loyalists the best Thanksgiving and fulfillment of what still promises to be a successful playoff-bound season. Let’s Go Knicks.

Yeah, I thought a bit about that Laker game. It is a holiday game at home and Kobe is going to rack up a lot of points. I see a Jordanesque night, but if the Knicks can contain everyone else, rebound and stay up on Farmer, they should win a very exciting home game.

I am more concerned about the New Jersey games. If we could get or heads straight, NJ is ripe for the picking. But they have been fairly mediocre for a couple of years now. That Franks, Kidd, Jefferson, Carter mix is weak for several reasons.

Peace, LOL. I was thinking the same thing the whole time. LIVES has gone awol. HaHaHa. Only thing is that I didn't need permission to leave. I had official orders to get my butt in offline gear. Life be demanding sometimes.

While I'm stealing the time, I must say that Stephon is a chump. I don't care whether he had permission or not. . . he needs to exhibit some leadership skills. . . . perhaps it is too late because his teammates know him for who he is, but I suggest that on the court it is never too late. Maybe off the court, but on the court, every possession is a new beginning, a new chance to walk the walk. He is the best point on the team, but he is not the sharpest one.

Oh man, all Sean Williams needs is some playing time. He looks like a muggafugga.

KEEP IT POPPIN'. I'm outtie.

Daily Views, by beat writer Legend:( This is a joke, any real people portrayed are just coincidental)

It happened again folks! I will report from sources inside the Newest Hot spot "Closet Hangers."
Sources reported again that Frank Isola and Mitch Lawrence were at it again!
Once again both were seen naked inside the Mens room kissing and fondling each other
as Mike Lupica was watching and cheering them on, as Isola was celebrating his exclusive story
about Marbury's Bad judgment last week, leaving the knick team!
Once again Eddie the new bouncer formally of "Plug uglies" walked in on them!
Damn said Eddie, Man... Again I thought I was in another Horror movie, I also thought I might see
Ashton kushner and I was being punked!
Eddie asked them to get dressed and leave, but all three were drunk, and Lupica and Lawrence
yelled, Dolan is still keeping Thomas after all Frank has done to get rid of Him!
Eddie warned them again and they ran outside and Eddie hailed them a cab!
Lupica refused to get in the cab and yelled, I love you Frank! Meet me at my house for a threesome!
The outside crowd was LTAO, as the Lawrence and Isola got in the cab, they again forgot to pull
up their pants, and this time Lawrence had stains! The crowd seemed to laugh harder as Lupica
pulled up his pants slowly and seemed proud that he was wearing "Batman Underoos."

Davonn:

Actually shaking up the team in practice is an oft used tactic by coached. It's just that when IT does it it makes headlines. Remember when KVG took out the entire starting line-up during the 1Q of a game?

STATESMAN, excellent points re Frank and Nets...Peaceman, yep, it's still very doable. There's cause for concern but not outright panic...LINJLNY, I would add Utah and Lakers to the almost-surely a loss column. Like everyone else we'll run over Philly and Seattle, earn at least a split with Chicago and New Jersey (watch out for Sean Williams, yo) and good bets with Bucks and Bobcats. The remaining few are up for grabs, all depends on what our team brings that night.

Whatever the team goes through in the next couple weeks, we just need to close out this half with a nice run/dominating record. As the adidas guys say, impossible is nothing.

Defenders!

Today in the great State of Maryland, Autumn's splendor is apparent, and like Walt Whitman's Book entitled 'Leaves of Grass,' All things must and will return to the earth from whence it comes to be regenerated and renewed. It is the natural order of things in this Universe.

It also applies to the Human Endeavor. First and foremost, I want to thank PEACEMAN for extending the right hand of Fellowship to me and mine. Words will never express how grateful and thankful I am for his act of kindness. THANK YOU PEACEMAN!

Steady, thanks for standing in the Gap and for the common bond that unites US. STEADY as he goes has been POSTING SOME GOOD STUFF...

To Lives, our RESIDENT POET, you were missed, but I understand and support your right to find YOUR BALANCE and wrestle with the Rollercoaster ride we call FANDOM...We are here for you my Brother from another Mother. "Wait on the Lord my friend and be of Good courage for He will strengthen thine HEART."

I've have read many of the post and links provided by my Defender Family today, and I am not surprised by the views and the positions of the NYMSM or the National MSM. But I am so thankful my parents taught me to be concerned and concentrate on WHAT I THINK, and not worry about WHAT OTHERS THINK, because when I do so, OTHERS ARE THINKING FOR ME, and why would I give CONTROL of my INNATE POWER TO ANOTHER...Just something to ponder, chew on, brown bag, and UPPER ROOM for future reference DEFENDERS.

I have been a KNICK FAN all of my days and will always be one. The names have changed over the years and will continue to do so, andI will still be a LOYAL KNICK FAN. All fo US have come this far by FAITH, so let us continue to believe that ALL things are possible, and if we are currently at Rock Bottom as a TEAM and ORGANIZATION, there is no place to go BUT UP. Today is game day, so let's strap it up, pump it up, and hope that our BELOVED NEW KNICKS WILL PULL THEMSELVES UP forge ahead trying to win ONE GAME AT A TIME. We've BEAT the NEGATIVE to DEATH, now let's ACCENTUATE THE POSITIVES...As Statesman so eloquently expressed on yesterday, this TEAM has the talent and they can win, by making the necessary corrections as a TEAM, because they have all played a part in every lost, from the Coach, to the last man sitting on the bench. They can and will turn the tide and proceed in the proper direction. WINNING THE GAMES THEY SHOULD.

There are 73 games left on our schedule and I am looking forward every last one of them. I am actually enjoying this journey more than most, because of ALL YOU. I concur with LIVES, I am still willing to work with all of the Defenders to coordinate a group gathering in NYC and a Local one here in DC. BLOGZILLA/KNICKDEFENSE, when time permits, please post the survey/poll for the game of choice (weekend preferrably,if other DEFENDERS agree).

Tip off is just about 7 1/2 hours AWAY and I can't wait.

Peace,Love, Longevity, and Prosperity is my earnest prayer for my DEFRENDER FAMILY!

Peace,

Do you have a link to the article where Curry said that ?

Jazz,

Paxson isn't included when I talk about good old boys or Zeke enemies. If any of the Spurs, Nugs, Celts, T-wolves, or Pacers (just to name a few) become available, does IT get that same call ?

Unfortunately, even if the Knicks were to keep their noses clean, I'm afraid that the MSM would invent something bad to say about our team. We all know the witch hunt is on.
