Knicks will surely have to save energy over in the mile high city tonight. Isiah should consider extending the rotation to 10 or 11 players. With no Balkman to guard Melo, others will have to help on D Taz totally altered the game tempo in the Garden game. We should perhaps play a slow down, deliberate game on offense; and only fast break when there is a clear opportunity to do so. Denver’s tends to play a speed up game, so that even if Knicks fall behind, they can catch up. I expect Isiah to try Jeffries on Melo in Balkman’s absense; but he should bring in Chandler to sustain energy and even provide some offense at the 3 spot. Hopefully, ZBo is rested and not travel weary. He and Curry need to play strong; and we need another good showing from Lee and Nate. LGK

Guys you know marbury started everything, making everything go down hill…..dont get me wrong their is no defence so we have to do someting about that but IT and Marbs have to go for sure!
Knicksome, I’m a Yankee fan and you’ve read my line King of the F’n hill. I was devastated when Boras called to say A-rod was opting out. CRUSHED. We wuz losing the game’s MVP. And then now we here he’s coming back for 10 years. So you see, it makes no sense to worry about what management and ownership will do. Just keep on cheering for your team and hope, with faith, that good things will happen. Let’s see what our team does about this–it’s early in the season still and we’re not out of anything yet.
Steady.. Your right dude, just very frustraded to watch us lose and be down so much. Once again we have to fight back up in the standings…..dude we added Zbo and we kept the same players thinking that they would mesh and come together…in the begining it looked that they did until the whole marbury thing happend. I want this team to win with these players, it just hurts it hurts big.
The team just needs a leader that will take them asaide and say ” thats it lets commit and play defence and turned this around. We can do it if we just commit!
its funny that on the YES channel even if the NEST are losing the play of the games is one of theirs…but the MSG channel its went to the Denver. Thats NYC for ya
Some people have said that the NYK exist to not win–owner makes more by the team losing. I read that on Modi’s blog by a guy named Temple3. Hope that ain’t the case for real. It eats me up when these guys lose games they should win. Thank God I’m not the betting type.
Knicks had no heart or energy for this game. Yesterday’s double overtime wore everyone out. I think some players gave up after middle of 2nd quarter. Road trip a total disaster. Time for team meeting to air everything out. Team must decide to come together and make a strong home stand. Through the balance of November and December, 12 of next 17 games are at home.
There is still time to recover some ground and develop a winning mentality. No reason to panic despite Metro Sports Media (MSM) pressure on Isiah (to trade virtually all) or Dolan (to dump Isiah). MSM hysteria will be most intense over the next three days: Isola, Vecsey, Lupica, Lawrence, et. al. will do their best to foment
dissension and create further chaos. My advice to owner, coaches and team: tune out all MSM noise. Read knickdefense.com instead! KFL
I’m starting to think that Chandler should receive JJ20’s minutes. He is a PITIFUL offensive player!! He worked on his game during the summer, and I don’t see 1 iota of change!! Chandler deserves his minutes I’m done with Jeffries!! Now onto J Chuck as ya’ll call him!! He worked with Houston and still couldn’t absorb how to be a more consistent shooter!! That makes me wanna go APESHIT!!!! Delonte West of S.Supersonics is a better combo guard!! Now that he’s not a CELTIC,I actually like this player & wished we had him! If Seattle had an inside scorer(Z-Bo or Curry)they would actually be challenging for the 6-8th seed in the West!!! I have League Pass and I’m watching everybody’s games and I’m glad I got it!!!! BTW K.Martin needs to receive the clothesline from HELL for his days with the NETS (2004 Playoffs).I hate that A-hole!!He’s nothin but a PUNK BEEOTCH!!!! Him & Twin Collins!!! 2nd worst big man next to J.James!!!Don’t know why Zeke has this love affair with F.Jones??If he makes a steal he’ll cause a Turnover in transition!!Give those minutes to Chandler, bench F.J. and JJ20!!!I’m sick of both of them!! I’m almost at the point where we we should trade Steph,JChuck & Curry for an elite shooter and an elite SF and draft Pass 1st PG’s who can shoot!!! Just like 99′ when we had a slasher and a shooter(Spree&H20).I’m tired of this No DEEP THREATS ON the Perimeter.(No offense Nate)!!!! If we REALLY HAD TRUE 3PT.THREATS on this team we’d have a better record than INDIANA!!!!!!!!! I’m SPENT!! Tough Loss!!!!!!!!! KFFL!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good AM and thankful for the glory and the beauty of another day! I’m just outside my home turf visiting family in Hastings on the Hudson. I did not get a chance to see the game last night, but after foregoing some necessary sleep to watch the Sacramento game, I knew even with Zach’s probable return that the Denver game would be a huge lost. Tired legs and tired minds after such a tumultuous road trip.
OUR BELOVED KNCIKS ARE BACK HOME in their own beds, enjoying some home cooking, and hanging with thier peeps. Hopefully this will refresh themselves and they can get their heads and hearts together. Golden State started off horribly last year and made the playoffs. ANY AND EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE. I’ve got an Uncle being honored today in New Rochelle at Davenports, then I am head back to the MD to chill for a week and enjoy the GIFT of FAMILY and FELLOWSHIP with the LOVED ONES. I’ve read every post this morning and as usual I enjoy reading the posts and the barbs form the DEFENDER COMMUNITY. I’ll check in later, but in the interim, all of you keep your heads tight and your spirits right, and enjoy your Sunday.
When I get home I’ll post about BBALL and share my thoughts and views of the last few days. Until the DEFENDERS, PEACE BE UNTO ALL OF YOU.
Detroit, Boston, and the Magic are the leaders in the entire Eastern Conference!
Everybody else is in the same boat or close to the same boat as the knicks when you view the loss columns.
No panic buttons should be pushed at this moment! Lawrence and Isola are doing it now!
Once again I ask ALL defenders to write an Email to MSG, asking that Mr. Dolan remain
committed to this current Knick coach and team! Let this year play out and assure this
team that no matter what Isola and Lawrence write, this team should not live each game on their finger nails!
If Zeke has lost the respect of the rest of this team, I would like to hear the players say that before
a move is made! No one really expected us to beat Denver less than 19 hours after coming off a double OT loss
to the Kings! Everyone gave Denver a pass after the Celtics beat them by 40 the night after they lost to the Knicks
in regulation, so the knicks deserve equal treatment! Onec again guys please send an email to MSG.com, let them
Know that Isola and Lawrence do not speak for us!
Berman has an unbias article today! Maybe he misses BARF?
Mean while I sent an Email to msgnetpr@thegarden.com, I highly suggest
our role call do the same! My email simply stated that Frank Isola and Mitch Lawrence,
do not speak for the majority of real knick fans! I also noted that either of those tabloid writers
have no interest in seeing the knicks do well! There venom is well documented. Just look at todays
shared article by the pathetic and feminine duo! They must have been partying hard at “Plug Uglyies.”
Once again defenders please write an email to the above adress. I assure you, Dolan and Thomas will be aware of our support and Blog! It is that person’s Job @ that address in the PR dept, to share our message with both Dolan
and Thomas! I’m counting on all defenders to do their part!
BTW…Lives in Jersey can back me as having a contact that goes into the Knicks locker room every game.
That very same contact assured me this morning that Crawford and other Knicks read our blog and appreciates the support!
Guys send those email…please!
“And for that, I want to formally apologize to former Garden president Dave Checketts, former president Ernie Grunfeld, former head coach Jeff Van Gundy and mostly to the great Patrick Ewing. I’m sorry for holding you to the standard of making it to the NBA Finals or the season was a failure. Even though you four gentlemen held yourselves to the same standard it was unrealistic to think it could be done every year. But you did come close. I often wonder how you four would have reacted to a 33-win season. Something tells me you wouldn’t have thought, “hey, contract extensions for everybody!”
Oh, it is simply an apology at the expense of the current knicks in efforts to get another person traded or fired, he is not genuinely sorry for being responsible in trading Ewing, the departure of Grunfeld and starting this whole mess.
“good, hard-working people who are disgusted by what has happened and suck-ups who would rat on their own mothers if it meant keeping their jobs.”
Let me guess, Isola considers himself among the former, and not the latter.
This is just a series of unfortunate events. If you think aout it its really crazy what happened to the Knicks. I think Zach’s grandmother is clearly to be blamed for this whole meltdown, god bless her soul!
If Zach doesn’t leave we beat Miami and there is no shakeup, further more we probably win two on the road and everybody are happy like pigs in sh!t. Imagine how it all could have been. Amazing
As the feathers from my pillow fly gently in the air
It’s hard for me that nobody on my team cares
We can change the owner, coach and the entire roster
But all we need is leadership for us to prosper
Sometimes I get mad and upset so I may vent
But the days of us making the Finals have came and went
Marbury says he is a “leader” but he’s yet to show me
Just the other day a bird landed on my shoulder and whispered in my ear “Santa’s bringing Kobe”.
Isola’s blog has more security now than the Airports!
He knows that he’s crossed the line with his faux storys of pure
hate! Now you have to retype a cryptic letter type thing just to post! LOL
Someone must have scared the shit out of him? His days are numbered as a beat writer!
he will fall victim of his own hate! Self hate alone will destroy him!
peaceman, you don’t have to go over to isola’s, let him do his thing. we have this site here to air our opinions whatever they may be. if i find anything over there worthwhile I’ll bring it back here.
don’t want us to become that blog’s LGM or Mark (same person)
Safe travels Cooleyhigh and Peaceman back to your respective homes.
We are a community of about 51 regular posters and an untold number of lurkers. Our collective voice should not go unheard. Now will it have impact? Who knows? Will we see another December Massacre at the Garden? Sure hope not. The whole crew will need to buckle down and recognize that “its us versus them”. I’ll certainly throw my Just bloggin’ in. For one, it is self-preservation. On a whole nother level, it’s the least expensive expression of fanaticism.

Can you link the story Here from Real Gm ” Charles Dolan tells Stern ( Fuck you ) this is
Jimmy’s team, I’ve got more important things to do? I don’r know how to do that link thing!
It’s a great Article!
Blogzilla,
Good call on #132. Leave Frank Isolated et al. stewing in venom. There’s a bear upstream.
DVJ,
Any update on your Fantasy League team so far this season? Top of the heap? Sure hope so. I can smell a repeat championship out of Gannett Land. Don’t let us down.
the grill is all over the place today. now he is reporting Charles Dolan has told David Stern personally that Jim Dolan isn’t going anywhere as owner of the knicks.
Last night, while Peaceman was holding it down, by the second quarter, we said DLee will be giving somebody else a Wally Pipp moment. I was thinking it should be JCraw–moving Q to the 2 guard. Lee plays well in “shallow waters” and shows chemistry with Z-bo. For lack of fire and command as a Big, I say ECity should feature the second unit with JCraw. Their chemistry and flow can dominate all the other NBA teams. It does not matter who starts, it matters wheter those who’s finish with a W.
In other NBA news, Boston (8-0) visits Orlando (8-2) today in what should be a very good game between two early dominant teams in the Eastern Conference. Orlando is 6-0 on the road, but only 2-2 at home; they host Boston today at 6pm on NBATV.
Jersey is hurting without Vince, they’ve lost 5 in a row and their record now stands at 4-6, which is still better than New York’s 2-7, good for last place in the Atlantic Division.
KnicksD,
That Magic/Celtic game should be a good one!
I strongly believe this is where the Celtics
will start on a downward spiral! I’ll be rooting
for the Magic!
A letter to Marbury!
Dear Steph,
It may appear that everyone has given up on you! I have found a solution!
This is an easy solution for you to make! You are set for life financially,
so in a gesture of good will, renegotiate your contract with the Knicks!
Resign for Ten million less this year and next year! Your Sneaker sales will increase,
voiding the lost revenue from the Knicks and restore your good will to your team!
This would be your smartest PR move ever! No one can continue to criticize your intent!
This may be your only way out of the darkness! Step up to the plate Steph, you want to hit
a Home run at your last bat. I’m giving you the sound advice to do that!
Might I add,
if you were willing to do that, NY should be willing to make you
the second person in the NBA, with a No trade clause, unless you approve!
Go for it Steph! You have nothing to lose!
Hey Defenders,
Modi just dropped a “therapeutic” glass half-full piece at Cosellout. The therapy part is just bloggin’ but he does make a reference to Knicksdefense.

I want this team to win with these players, it just hurts it hurts big.
By Knicksome on Nov 17, 2007
BIG–but then again, we can only control our fanaticism. Look at your scenario 2nite. Could you control that? No–you just manage it and live around it.
By Steady on Nov 17, 2007
LOL
By Steady on Nov 17, 2007
The team just needs a leader that will take them asaide and say ” thats it lets commit and play defence and turned this around. We can do it if we just commit!

Rose’s expiring will look good in a trade by Feb. It’s a throw-away fellas. Just 9 games played.

I will still keep te faith…DIE HARD KNICKS FAN FOR LIFE…good night guys thanx for keeping it live tonight.
By Knicksome on Nov 17, 2007
Some people have said that the NYK exist to not win–owner makes more by the team losing. I read that on Modi’s blog by a guy named Temple3. Hope that ain’t the case for real. It eats me up when these guys lose games they should win. Thank God I’m not the betting type.
By Steady on Nov 17, 2007
Yeah–keping the faith is good. Good night.
I’m out like Alize.

DEFENDERS!
Keep it POPPIN!

By Peaceman on Nov 18, 2007
nets or bulls lose 5 in row and noone even notices it. But with Knicks excpectations are higher for some reason.
By rush on Nov 18, 2007
Guys send those email…please!

isola apology?
By knicksdefense on Nov 18, 2007
I’m game to doing a drive by on Isola’s blog to call him and the
Grill out! Insult the hell out of them! Anyone game?
By Peaceman on Nov 18, 2007
Thanks Peace

Hallelujah People!!

By Peaceman on Nov 18, 2007
peaceman, you don’t have to go over to isola’s, let him do his thing. we have this site here to air our opinions whatever they may be. if i find anything over there worthwhile I’ll bring it back here.
don’t want us to become that blog’s LGM or Mark (same person)
By knicksdefense on Nov 18, 2007
Just finished reading the articles on the Knicks today.
The reporters are really calling for Isiah’s head.
I wouldn’t be mad if we bought in West or Jerry C to run the ship but that’s about it.
Jerry C would trade Steph his first day there. He would also trade Crawford.
He would keep Zach though.

It does not matter who starts, it matters wheter those who’s finish with a W.

well said steady.
this team needs some wins fast.
every game is like a playoff game 7 right about now in terms of needing to win.
2-7 is very bad.
By knicksdefense on Nov 18, 2007
In other NBA news, Boston (8-0) visits Orlando (8-2) today in what should be a very good game between two early dominant teams in the Eastern Conference. Orlando is 6-0 on the road, but only 2-2 at home; they host Boston today at 6pm on NBATV.
By knicksdefense on Nov 18, 2007
Jersey is hurting without Vince, they’ve lost 5 in a row and their record now stands at 4-6, which is still better than New York’s 2-7, good for last place in the Atlantic Division.

That Magic/Celtic game should be a good one!

By Peaceman on Nov 18, 2007
Might I add,
if you were willing to do that, NY should be willing to make you
the second person in the NBA, with a No trade clause, unless you approve!
Go for it Steph! You have nothing to lose!
