NY Knick Defender State of Mind; Season Preview Video Season
Check out the results from our most recent poll:

For the math heads out there, looks almost like a normal curve. All votes being equal, we can interpolate from the results that the average Knicks Defender predicts about 46 wins this upcoming season. Very interesting because, as you know, most NBA preview articles are writing off the knicks as 4th in the atlantic and out of the playoffs. That’s some contrast.

A few of the local newspapers are doing preview videos streamable online. Check out Vescey’s here.
Newsday also has one, but I couldn’t get it to load, and Berman from the post has one here, but it is not as positive. These videos were brought to my attention by the excellent The Big Push, which was in turn brought to my attention by our BARF–thanks homie.
Finally, this is the program I’m going to blame for holding some of your comments from being posted immediately. It isn’t me, this program is built in to the blog so I’ve done all I can to minimize its effects. It is only a problem for a few of you, but still, if you don’t see your post at first, just be patient, chances are it will go through.
Glad to see DVJ is back, and now we’ve got Tman here, Kevin Harewood stopped by and also mr. Trane joined in on the discussion, so it seems we all know the spot! Keep it poppin’ indeed!

BARF & AFRICAN, Oh Snap!
I just went to KK to read what you guys were talking about!
Isola is posting to the Grill to Back Da Fu#K off! I’m
LAMO…..check it out!
Boomann,
Great posts! Your in-depth analysis on this year’s team and its future were excellent. Barf has usual you keep the Defenders plugged in on all of the BBALLER intel. From this day forward you are the Defender’s Minister of Information…LOL
Peaceman, Mark needs plenty of prayer, and I will continue to pray for him and hope he will eventually find peace within himself and with others. How those folks at KF deal with his lunacy and racist vocalizations is beyond me. He’s like a jar of Mayonaise! Use too much, and it will affect your health adversely. Peaceman, did you read his recent rant and rage, and how he described AH20? He used every Buzz/Wedge word to describe him verses the other players, that he characterized as certified thugs. He likes to describe the DEFENDERS the same way. He is so consumed with self-hate, his cancer is ravaging his mind and body. He’s the walking dead and does not realize it. So sad, really, so sad.
Keep it POPPIN
Keep it POPPIN
Peace, I told you he was an embarrassment. If you get Isola to stop eating and pay attention to you, there’s got to be something wrong with you.
Minister of Info? Ha. I can ride with that.
Cleveland will be without Varejao and Pavlovic? For how long?
From day one almost a month ago it was clear that the Cavs had lost their swagger because of the Anderson Varejao and Sasha Pavlovic holdouts were collectively weighing on the team’s minds. They have been asked about it virtually every day since and right now they are playing like their minds are elsewhere. The players have now accepted that neither will be there on opening night and so far they are not accepting the challenge.
There’s also a lot of venom for Danny Ferry coming to my inbox as well. Fans are upset over the inactivity over the summer, which many seem be believe made the Cavs worse even though I do not agree with that logic. But added to the inability to get the contracts done I can understand why there is a furor.
Follymach
I’m waiting for your post that tells us where D-Nice has landed!
I’ll give 10-1 odds that we face him @ Cleveland, Nov 2nd!
Notice the silence today about Jeffries? In this rare case, no news is BAD News!
Too bad Zeke can’t intervine in that wavier, Can he?
Yo Peaceman:How long do you give it before he is removed from that blog???
D-Nice signs with the CAvs.
Thanks, guys . . . I’m with you guys, too. But you should check out the beat-down Trane just gave Mark on Hahn’s site. It’s a beauty . . . if I do say so myself . . .
booman, peace! Cavs!? where is the link brothers? he stayed in the east??? well, i’ll be keeping an eye on his career. i never thought he’d be selling insurance, i was a fan when Isiah picked him up from portland and I’ll cheer for him this season except for when he plays us.

don’t you guys think that by talking about some of these jerks it draws them nearer to here? i never want to blog about people like them.
we got a beautiful thing here, just like we did previously on those other sites.
Repost Repost!
This is a re-enactment from the poster Ledgend posted at KK, before the preseason started!
BARF is the only one I know for sure that read it. This post was the straw that broke the camels
back and Isola started to censor everything! I have never laughed so hard, but I will try my best
to post what LEDGEND posted vebatum!( Ledgend needs to join the defenders)
Ledgend: Frank Isola, you make up so much shit at the Daily News,
I can make up shit too!
” Daily Views by beat writer Ledgend.”
Frank Isola and Mitch Lawrence were spotted at the Club “Plug Uglies” last night.
They were seen naked and gropping and kissing each other in the mens room, when the
bouncer “eddie” entered and wittnessed them! ” I thought I was in a nightmare or bad movie” stated Eddie!
Plug Uglies is the term Isola uses when he want’s sex from Mitch Lawrence, so when
Eddie asked them to leave, Mitch Lawrence screamed…”Do you know who I am?” I’m not gay but I have no choice
but to have sex with men because women laugh at me when they see my face! I’m just a pizza faced, pencil neck, geek!
Eddie was able to get them to leave, but the crowd outside wittnessed Isola yell “Mitch I love you!”
I know I write like shit and you are the only one that excepts me! One source said ” they thought it was
a Gay bar because of the Name “Plug Uglies.” The crowd outside laughed and laughed because Lawrence and Isola
were finally able to get in a Cab, but they forgot to pull up their pants as they got into the Cab, and Isola had stains!

Starburyfan
I was just blogging, I suspected The Cav’s would pick him up,
but I haven’t seen anything to confirm that!
George M! Glad your here! I give Mark my spot on the 59th street bridge! LOL
peaceman, check my link. it did happen.
d nice is a cav as booman and peace have mentioned.

Starburyfan – I’m with you. I think you’re only encouraging guys like M*rk (no 4-letter words) by responding to them. I’ve been trying to get the Fixer site to just ignore him. For a while, every time he would post, I was just posting: “If you don’t feed a lost dog . . . it’ll stop coming round your door.” Then someone else came up with a better line. It’s a way to acknowledge that we all know this is horse-sh*t, without responding directly. Now I just post:
Don’t feed the trolls.
Not sure what it means, but I love the line . . .
This is the first Okidoke for the LBJ 2 NYC.
Just bloggin’
KFLL
Peaceman – LOL ..I remember that post by Legend too. #161.
Gentle folks,
I don’t get it. How amidst such a group of intelligent individuals one idiot can damage three blogs simultaneously (including this one by the mere mention of his name). Personally, I have up until this point been very successful at simply ignoring the garbage he spews, but now when people I look forward to reading start to spend their territory talking about him and to him, I see that it will be increasingly difficult to ignor him until you all get him out of your systems. Trane, I can’t believe you got suckered into responding to him who was not him after your constant sdmonition to ignore him that I refuse to name. Look even I waste territory talking about his fucking dumb ass. The troll wins. Thanks guys. Later.
Lives — Yes. You’re right. I slipped. Won’t happen again.
Guys
Check out the Cav’s blog from that site on Starburyfan’s link to Nichols being a Cav!
That blog is saying that they should all send Zeke a Christmas Basket!
Their hyped about Nichols, and used our blog as being pissed off that D-nice was cut!
Well good luck to D-nice and the Cav’s….except when they play the Knicks!
Lives and Trane
Chill…Thats Hahns problum, Isola already sent him packing today!
He knows better than to show up here! No balls Lawrence!
He’s unfit for another beat down! Have pity on the poor guy!
We knew DNice was too nice to stay off someone’s roster….wish it was ours….but that’s how it goes.
Why couldn’t we trade/cut someone to keep him?
May as well let it go.
Good luck to Mr. Nichols. He will need it when we see him. I like the commentary about our backcourt. Jamal and Steph better wake up. Mr. Robinson and Collins are looming. Coach Thomas only has friends when it comes to winning and survival. When they play within the scope of the scheme, they do very well. When the resort to what got them traded, we stink. They talk like they are committed but they don’t consistently play that way. Marbury and Crawford must play with passion from the opening tip. You don’t have to get N8 and Mardy hyped. Their presence is felt immediately. Holler if you hear me!!!!
Spurs trade little used PG, Beno Udrih, to T’Wolves for a conditional second round pick.
Spurs trade to T’Wolves link
@Bumrush40
I agree with ya. Just think Steph is still finding his way in his new role. He was use to scoring first. As for JCraw/JChuck. I just do not like him with this starting line up. I know he wants to start(Because there is no Kobe or DWade)BUT, I feel he will be able to get the shots he wants coming off the bench. I like Q to start at the 2, and JJ,or Balk at the 3. We need energy and defense, and Crawford doesn’t bring it to start.
Demetris Nichols
CLEVELAND, OHIO – October 29, 2007 – The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed guard/forward Demetris Nichols to a contract, Cavaliers General Manager Danny Ferry announced today. Per team and league policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Nichols, 23, played in five preseason games for the New York Knicks and averaged 4.8 points on .571 (8-14) shooting including .667 (4-6) from three-point range in 7.8 minutes per game. He was originally selected by the Portland Trail Blazers with the 53rd overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft. He was then traded to the Knicks on draft day in exchange for a 2008 second round selection. He was waived by the Knicks on October 25.
The 6-foot-8, 216-pounder led the Big East in scoring last season when he averaged 18.9 points per game and was named to the All-Big East First Team. During his four-year career with the Orange, he played in 123 games (93 starts) and averaged 10.9 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.
In addition, the Cavaliers waived forward Noel Felix who played in three preseason games for Cleveland and averaged 2.7 points and 1.0 rebound per game.
The Cavaliers roster now stands at 15 players.
i went to that cavs page peaceman, i never saw so many full of sh*t cavs fan before in my life. granted most of them jump on the bandwagon of the team with the best player or record, they’re claiming they know he can play because they have league pass and saw all the knicks preseason games.
a) if you are cavs fan, what in the world are you doing watching the knicks on a regular?
b) the people that know demetris can play either watched him in college or watched him during summer pro league. in my case it was the latter. if you’re just going by his minutes in the preseason, you can’t be too hyped about him, because although his percentages are good, dude played a total of just 39 minutes over 5 games. so to say he can ball just based on the preseason is horsesh*t because Isiah didn’t let him see the light of day.
Tru da Starburyfan, I don’t think DNice’s talents was a big surprise to anyone. They are happy to have him(they are not true KFL or CFL like we are).It just seems hard to let that talent go, we don’t know what he could have been. The Cavs will find out…goood or bad.
Peaceman and Cooley High:
Praying for Mark to have an epiphany and reform his vision of the universe, is equivalent to teaching a Neanderthal the elements of alternate side-of-the-street parking, which is possibly an insult to the Neanderthal species. Responding in any way to his venom only gets the snake excited, and it soon starts to foment and rant until it reaches orgasm, ejaculating in an endless stream of verbal gism.
I wait for Mr. Hahn to one day say “Enough” and firewall his site from this serpent, or at least earmark his posts with spam warnings: Read only with Extreme Caution: Poison for the Mind and Soul. Lives’ approach is the only answer to the Devil’s tantrums: IGNORE, IGNORE, IGNORE. Then come to knickdefense.com for solace, hope and redemption.
KFL
Peaceman, sorry I’m late, I had to leave the computer (gasp!) for a few hours this afternoon/early eve. Of course, I’m not the least bit surprised by the news on DNice. Twas expected by those with eyes and minds open. Too bad he’s not ridin our bench but it’s not the end of the world. Next off-season is the move, gents.
The best way to deal with trolls is to ignore em cuz they really do feed off the attention. They usually burst on the scene makin loud lookamee noises, rattle cages and then scurry off to giggle at the reactions. It can be hard to lay off the really good trolls, but don’t let em get to ya. Starve them of attention and they go away.
peaceman, when the time comes let me know about those tix homie!
thank you for considering ol’ starburyfan. good stuff.
