Mike Dougherty reports Eddy Curry has been re-examined and will practice with the team as soon as tomorrow.
This is great news for Knicks fans because it gives the team a chance to develop a rotation with chemistry, particularly what to do with ZBo and Curry in the game.
Zbo showed an ability to pass the ball in the Maccabi game on Thursday, look for an offense that will see more touches with him on the high post, with Curry the first option on the right block from 5 feet deep.
Eddy Curry may be the key player to this team because he needs to keep his scoring up while improving defensively. With Lee and Randolph in the lineup he may not need to get double-digit rebounds (how many teams have two, let alone three double-digit rebounders?) but Curry absolutely needs to be more of a defensive presence if the Knicks are to win. Curry came in to camp 20lbs lighter than his weight last year, which is a good sign in terms of his ability to leave the ground quicker and also in terms of second efforts in the paint.

um choice!
Jordan must of been some secret deal made when Zeke picked Portlands
pocket! Jordan must of had a Portland upper office relative having a hand in this to let this
kid play out his Post Marist College dream to try out for the Knicks! I want to throw up
when That Kid Green who played with us in Vegas is not in a Knick uniform at this time and
Jordan is! Just bloggin!
Defenders,
A couple of weeks ago, I was @ place where the national firewalls prevented me from posting on blogs. I suppose this experience is similar to the one described by St_George in an earlier blog post at the other place. A more accurate description could be North Korea where there are national censors on “everything” as a protection from the evils of greed, envy, jealousy—-sentiments we know too well as NYers reading the local MSMs. [On a side note, I’m encouraged by the peace overtures expressed by the Koreas. The world will be a better place with the two less adversaries and protagonists in conflict].
Yet and still, I was able to get the bloggers of the village to maintain the passion for our side. This community has become so robust that I may just ride out the season as a reader with Don-esque postings (from the other blog site “Let’s go Knicks”) from time to time. Then again, you all are Kings/Queens of the F’n Hill and ya’ll know what’s good. As I always say: don’t start won’t be none. For now picture this dream sequence.
I went to the top of the hill—the Cape of Good Hope. There, I connected with the Creator of all that is good, asking for blessings on all the players and teams; and for our side to prevail against all of them. We are long overdue and that is our collective Hope here.
Then I went tp southernmost point of the continent, where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet. There, I put a message in a bottle, claiming that our current make-up has the building blocks of a DYNASTY. The message claims victory over the East and all the NBA. Just HOPING the message flows toward the Atlantic side as opposed to the Indian side. Ya’ll know what’s good—we can’t wait any longer. [On a side note, I’ve said it before as did Orange & Blue. IT is building a DYNASTY in NY and his boss’ bought in on it. He has taken the team from old, slow and plodding to athletic, long, nice and nasty. He rebuilt on the fly and NY has endured the whole experience. And NOW, it is time to win. Sorry to sy it but every game will be a statement game–the chip is on the shoulder of every NYK as it is on ours. Steady as IT goes.

What is Hahn talking about now?
What does he know about a blog?
His numbers were in the single digits for months on end. Then he alienates the community who had his blog bumping during the offseason?
And he has the nerve to call US alpha dogs?
Huh?
Sounds like he’s the one who has a problem with giving out the keys.
F*CK YOU DAD! I NEVER NEEDED YOUR CAR ANYWAY ASSHOLE!! TAKE YOUR F*CKING KEYS BACK.
Stupid ass. He still thinks it was about him. He took it personal…like a bitch.
@ #105–Great Hit. KO blow fo shizzle!
KFL
Steady
Well put! EVERY game is a chip on the shoulders of the Knicks!
Every win EVEN IN PRESEASON diminishes the wind in the NY medias hate ship!
AND WIN WE WILL!
Lives in Jersey,
I really want closure on this Hahn Con! I want to get back to Knick Basketball!
I want him to feel as empty as his blog! In a way, thank him for me as all I really wanted
in the first place was somewhere to blog about our Knicks where people felt the same way!
At least if you get hit here, you know where the punch came from! I always hoped you or Vlad or Ewings Curse or Starburyfan would
start up such a blog as THIS! No disrespect Davonn, but your blog would present like the “KOBE CHRONICLES” lol.
Thank Alan for helping us find what we have now, and wish him ….WACKY FUCKING GOOD LUCK…along with all two of his bloggers!
Fuck it! I just got closure! I just posted my final message at CON’S Blog as ALPHA DOGGIE!
I’m at PEACE and swear I won’t ever be a stat there ever again! I’m ready for all Knicks all the time!
Gotta hit the bricks at 5AM for work as usual, can’t wait for Lives piece.
Let me leave you guys with this, Maybe Hahn wanted most of us gone? Wouldn’t you think it would be tough as hell to host a
blog when the majority know more about the Knicks then the Host? Now thats Wacky as hell, but true!
Good evening neighbors,
It is a beautiful day in the neighborhood. The joint is jumping with over 100 comments (wow) in a 24-hour span from the likes of our host Starburyfan, Orange and Blue, Cooleyhigh, DaVonnJ, Modi, Post-up Prince, Bumrush40, Lives In New Jersey, Steady, Anti-NYSN, Syd, Charles Follymacher, DNM, St._George, African, HarlemBoyinMD, Statesman, JohnQ, Knicksome and DLT Knicks. What a beautiful group of bullies, I mean defenders and there are others who are not here for the moment.
This list of 21 posters in 24 hours on a non-commercial, personal blog tells you a couple of things which you already know. A house is not a home and it takes a village. And Alan Hahn of Newsday has made a serious error from his own emotionalism and destroyed what could have been a decent and mutually beneficial partnership.
******************************************************************************
While I would much rather be spending these keystrokes on my analysis of the Toronto Raptors, I do very much appreciate the power and historical nature of the discussion we are presently engaged in. It is hard to deny the effectiveness of the various views of the posters regarding how to respond to Mr. Hahn.
Of course, Steady has a point about not giving Mr. Hahn undeserved attention for his recent slight-filled tantrum. Wisely, Steady favors letting Hahn stew in silence lamenting how he so quickly lost a community he had and advises that we “[l]et him go. There’s a bear upstream.” I know this strategy well as it is the best one against the likes of unredeemable characters who clearly post for attention: particularly characters with screennames like Da**en, M**k, Ed Dro**man and Frank *sola. I personally believed that those individuals became unworthy of my reading attention and posting time.
Similarly, St._George, HarlemBoyinMD agree that Hahn is baiting posters to get attention and bring his numbers up. Statesman and Cooleyhigh also believe Hahn no longer deserves the attention or consideration.
On the other hand, Starbury fan has rightfully stated a need to represent himself as he always has. Peaceman and DNM expressed some agreement with the idea of a “sit-in” or posting blitzkrieg. African, Post-up Prince and Orange and Blue suggest a compromise of one powerful post to express a group view. I find little fault in defending oneself in cyberspace in order to keep the written record clear, share my view with those who will listen and provide an alternative viewpoint for those open to looking at certain situations and problems in different ways.
Posters like O&B and Post-Up Prince, initially, expressed conflicted views regarding the appropriate strategy for responding to Mr. Hahn.
I provide you with a quick overview of the various opinions here in part to give us all an appreciation of the diversity of our village. After spending considerable time with you guys, I am personally confident in your individual and collective intellect and can appreciate the varied views and the effectiveness of each tactic mentioned above.
However, as I suggested in my earlier post, the tactic or strategy you select depends on your desired outcome. For some of us our desired outcome depends on our reason for blogging and in some instances how we view ourselves. One must appreciate that a person’s self-respect is so great that he does not feel the need to engage or acknowledge someone who is disrespectful. But you can also appreciate someone with high self-esteem who will not allow someone to swipe at him without getting pushed back. It is all understandable and supportable.
***************************************************************************
Folks my reasons for blogging are multifaceted. I initially started blogging to memorialize my displeasure with Frank Isola’s reporting. It was intended to be a one shot deal like many of my previous letters to the editors and print op-eds. I had grown tired, again, of the bias and unfairness of the press. When the Knicks finally won a home game, the reporters made the attendance the story, because it portrayed the team negatively.
I wrote in part because I needed to try to influence my sources of Knick news and analysis to be fairer and more enjoyable. I really wanted to enjoy what I saw as an improving team.
I continued to blog because I engaged in a discussion with like-minded individuals who also loved the game of basketball and were also disturbed by the unnecessarily slanted coverage. I enjoyed the likes of Kevin Harewood, Tman, Kandiman, Peaceman, Bokonon, Anti-NYNews, Rastaman, and even Darren and Drossman for the first two repetitive posts. What FI posted or wrote was irrelevant except to get the juices flowing. Most of the posters knew that Frank was biased and that his baskeball knowledge was not worthy of the level of comments he received. But now my activist reason, expanded to enhanced fanaticism.
In the process of developing a fellowship, I found an intelligent community of b-ball enthusiast that I had not been exposed to since high school. It was exhilirating. It encouraged me to share more and more of my thoughts. The ignorance spewed also encouraged me to be more of an activist.
Now I post to share, teach, learn, correct, challenge, fight and create a record of who we are. I don’t post for Frank Isola or Alan Hahn. I never have and never will. Now, I post because I want to create a community of comfort where we can feel free to express our views without being labelled as “bullies.” I also post to present an alternative viewpoint to as many others as possible, to help people think. I post to share one way to make a certain argument stronger with like-minded people who haven’t quite figured out how to express a certain perspective.
I post because God has blessed me with so much that it is my obligation every day and every possible opportunity I can to share, to love and to make the world better. I am nearly 50 years old and I have been graced with much, including the affection and fellowship of this group. It is a benefit with a responsibility to bring as much positivity into the world as possible. Not just when it is easy, but when I am angry and when I am ready and able to raise hell to a level never before experienced by a transgressor.
I post because like everything else I do, it is a part of the legacy I want to give the world. That does not make me perfect; it does not make me holier than thou. It makes me purposeful and directed. It gives me strength and it confirms my power, which is borrowed from the CREATOR and multiplied by the company I keep.
I have no worry about whether Alan Hahn gets one post or one hundred posts. The Math is for the GREAT EQUALIZER. What I need to be concerned about is have I done my best as a human being to make someone or something better. If I pass tomorrow, how valuable did I make today. NO SHITTING

Personally, I believe the only difference our response or non-response will really make is determined by what we, individually or collectively, want to happen. Before, Hahn’s latest comments, I was still interested in recapturing that community we had this summer on a commercial blog. Yes, it was fun, but I also believe that it is extremely important to challenge the mainstream media in its own house. I believe that counterbalance is essential. I believe that the idiocy should not go unchallenged and that was the wonderfulness of being 70 strong on a commercial blog.
But, I also believe that creating a community which allows one to enjoy what is really entertainment is also important. We should be able to chose not to spend all of our time struggling with the hard rocks and knocks of life. There are enough rocks to lift that we don’t need to take on added ones.
I will assume that by the time I print this, some Defenders will have started to Defend. That is fine, but it is good to let your community know what you are going to do so that they too can make informed choices.
With this I have written myself to exhaustion tonight. So I am done. But within the next day or so, I will respond to Alan Hahn. I will write Alan Hahn and his editors. It is a small world and Les Payne, a reknowned journalist at Newsday, was one of my mentors. And if I do not get satisfaction, I will write their advertisers. The result is not important to me really.
I want them to know that we are not afraid. That we deserve to be treated with dignity and respect and that I not only expect it, I will demand it. I will fight for it. And I will dye my hair for it. (Didn’t want to get too carried away or “wacky” as the case may be).
This is exactly what was on my mind when I told you I was HOT, HOT, HOT. But now after reading all of you, it is once again for the right reasons, instead of being angry that some idiot pissed me off and didn’t apologize when I left his damn blog. I AM THE ALPHA DOG. I fear no one but Michael Vick. Ahhhhh just laugh already. We’re going to have a fun season and shake up the world.
***************************************************************************
Defenders match Hahn’s retraction to O&B’s comment #40. On second thought, let me help.
O&B said, “You know I tried to be respectful to Hahn but that shit about us being ““bullies and wannabee activist”” was so low class. He didn’’t have to use such a wide stroke but I guesse it shows his disdain for those who had his back early on. Such Benedict Arnold level shyt. I have lost all respect for him fuggin piece of shyt!”
AH wrote, “Let me address the comment from earlier today about the ““antagonistic bullies”” who left the blog comment area (but I know they still lurk because our numbers are still strong). I should not have painted with a broad brush because the line suggests that all who were here were bullies. Not my intention.”
Who’s lurking, I wonder?
****************************************************************************
Peace and Love my friends. Do what is right in your heart and brings you the result you desire.
Peaceman,
Though Hahn doesn’t name names, it sure does sounds like he wanted some people off his blog from the blog entry you just replied to.
this whole thing is getting kind of silly. I honestly don’t think Hahn is half as bad as Isola. I swore off Isola, but hahn only offended me, I didn’t swear him off.
Good for your peaceman. If you want to post there, it is a free country to express your opinion. I might post there in the future, nothing hateful, I only want to clear the air since some people were talking about this blog and don’t understand its intent.
Lives, we always post at nearly simultaneous times! Good sh*t as usual. I also notice the similarity in words with the “paint brush strokes,” but chalked it up to mere coincidence. it could have been deliberate, who knows?
Peaceman, I have not been to Hahn’s place today and I will not go tonight because I know that I will want to stay up late and write my response. I will wait.
I will say this though, because I cut my other comments short as they were getting too long: Alan Hahn erred. He turned a business matter into something personal. It was a very bad and ignorant move on his part. But African, as he often does, put it in proper perspective. Alan’s feelings were clearly hurt. He felt challenged when he was not challenged. Posters were willing to take him at face value about the blog reconstruction being the fault of the techies. But he has revealed in his anger that it was him all along. He has become the bully and revealed that he wanted to be seen as the Alpha Dog. Quite frankly, the notion that the Knicks Fix is his “house” if taken seriously is silly. He is an employee. The blog is hosted by his employer. Without controls the tone blog can easily be controlled by others. He is trying to assert control and power as he had from the very beginning when he told us not to write about politics after he did.
Perhaps he was feeling threatened not only by the quality of the commentary, but by the power of the voices. He does not know better and has probably been listening to his idiot colleagues. No group ever told him that they would leave because of his reporting on the Knicks. The complaint was about a stupid intro ot the community that even the Post and Daily News don’t have.
Alan Hahn erred. He was being insecure. Let’s see how much common sense he really has to solve the problems we are about to create. People do make mistakes. Redemption is possible, if one has a forgiving heart. (Don’t be a smart ass).
New terms for the season: Bullies, Alpha Dogs and wacky. LOL
*********************************************************************8
Speaking of immature idiots, you guys should check out Gilberts blog which is actually one of the best for an athlete. But Gilbert ratted himself out when he told the story about why he missed the NBA video game reception. His gilfriend pissed him off about the kids messing up his car and he decided to sleep overnight at the gym instead of going home to be with his family.
That is clear evidence of a lack of leadership and problem solving skills. Immature like a mugg. That is the main reason (besides Etan Thomas’s injury) that I suggest the Wizards will barely make the playoffs ahead of Orlando.
***************************************
As I re-read my comments, something important was not clear. I have no intention of posting on Knicks Fix again regardless of the outcome, unless the community is there, which I doubt will ever happen again. I will be posting here and I intend to post at our old haunt Knick Knation just to fight the good fight and also hang out with Harewood, Statesman and Tman from time to time.
I also wanted to express appreciation for mentioning me as someone to write a piece for the group. But as you may be able to tell by now, I think that is inappropriate and unnecessary. All of you have wonderful and unique voices. I love the way you guys but things. How can you not have the creative voices of Cooleyhigh, Orange and Blue, Steady and BARF not speak for you, or the power of an African, HarlemBoy and Peaceman or the energy of DVJ. I would never accept the impossible task of representing such power and beauty. Our strength is in our numbers.
***************************************
DVJ that is a helluva compliment. If I were younger I would have been afraid because it confers such responsibility. I would go shucks and say I wish I was that good, but the fact is that the only thing I am concerned about is doing the best I can. And you guys encourage me to do that and to get better. I gladly accept the roses before I go(and the thorns) and together we’re going to keep that garden growing.
****************************************
I usually sound pseudo-philosophical after a funeral. Yesterday, we had my father-in-laws memorial service, which was nice. He was 86, good man. But it made me think that if I died, none of you would know which is odd given that you know as much about how I have been thinking lately as my closest friends. I gotta tell my wife to get one of you to come to my memorial service and say some nice things. Now, I just got to figure out who will be the best, most credible liar. . . . . .hmmmmmm, I better call Anucha. LOL
Peace.
Look y’all, keep it simple. If you were offended by Hahn, the best thing you can do is ignore the blog. That means, DO NOT VISIT, DO NOT CHECK TO SEE WHO HAS POSTED WHAT. You are only being baited because he needs his numbers up and the best way to do that is via controversy. Deafening silence is the golden sword. “Activists” my azz. Does remind me of them Jena locals talmbout how all their blackfolks was fine with the “prank,” it was just people from “outside” causin trouble, rilin up their docile fams. Ha.
If you really need to see what he’s writing, read it in an rss feed reader like bloglines.com (or something like it, there are lots to choose from) — you can always discuss it here if need be.
This is what I wrote in the “Nate Doggin” thread a while back (i put it here b/c it came at the tail end of the brouhaha @ Fixers and not sure if you guys read it):
Lives: You are a truly eloquent voice. Literate, mature, sincere and rational in your thoughts and perspectives. You are among the most appreciated bloggers on this site, as you were among most valued on the Knix Fix and KNation. I for one will look foward to your post tomorrow on Hahn’s site and express an endorsement. It will be my last post on that site.
I will also refer you statement to the editor of Newsday along with a
reference to this site. Perhaps he can see the immaturity of Hahn’s
insulting statements to over 70 active bloggers who would read Hahn’s site and other related sports news, advertisements and links having potential commercial value for Newsday. Clearly, a bad business decision. Mr. Hahn only needed to change one word in a banner to retain the loyalty of this informed, intellgent and appreciative community. At one point, I had naively hoped he would organize a meeting of our group at the Garden and even looked forward to meeting him. I am now considerably wiser and, in Hahn’s own words: I will
“get over it.” Sad but time to move on and leave the Hahn “house”
to himself. KFL
that’s the point Charles Follymacher, with all due respect, I’m choosing not to boycott anybody. I have not posed there since the word “wacky” was put up, but I fully intend to defend my right to blog and represent this blog on other blogs. If i’m looking for news content about the knicks, i’m not going to avoid newsday or ny post or anyone else. I’d be shooting myself in the foot because I want the latest news about this team. I’m going to keep reading about my squad, and keep sharing my findings here. it’s all about the knicks for me.
guys i might have something for you on the untelevised (at least locally untelevised) game on wednesday night against boston, check back late that evening… Anyone know if that game is going to be on NBA radio or NBATV?
When the games finally start, it will be much easier to write on what I see in the games.
Guys
Go to NBA Audio pass early today and sign in for free. Preseason is free. For the Defenders who now live out town, To buy Audio league pass for the regular season, it’s only $19.95 for the entire year! It has tonights game listed. But sometime a blackout is in effect! We may get lucky tonight!
It also has it on Local TV CSNNE???? I’ve never heard of that channel, it must be a Boston Local!
ESPN’S GAME CAST is a NON audio option! If Breen is calling the game for TV, the Audio pass has Gus and either Mike Cripino or
Johnny Hoops, which all are a pleasant Audio! When I visit my Daughter down south, she has comcast that doesn’t offer Nba Pass, so thats where I purchased
Audio pass last year! I got creative and combined the Audio with espn’s game cast which is free! I would put the Audio on and minumize it to my lower screen, then pull up gamecast and watch a picture of a fullcourt and where and who made the hoop as gamecast shows the players picture if he scores or makes a foul or turnover! You guys in Md and Florida have definatley have the Audio pass tonight as we in NY may get Blacked out..I did say MAY because
Boston is so Close! Either way we kick ass tonight! GOOD Bloggin night coming up tonight! Lets Kill the Celtics!
Is the game tonight or tomorrow Peaceman?
I’m confused now lol
I thought we played on Wednesday.
Help!!
TRYING TO KEEP IT SIMPLE
Follymacher, I love your response. It is practical and you offer us instructions on how to execute your tactic. You are quite the activist, ha, thank you.
I also appreciate you admonition to keep it simple. To boil down a hour and a half worth of writing to it’s amoebic state: I believe posters should act in a way that emotionally and practically satisfies them. I intend to make what I believe will be a final post and write his employers, regardless of how it impacts his hit numbers, because I want to set the record and set it straight. That is my contribution. I personally also respect the decision of others to act how they see fit.
But I will definitely figure out how to us the RSS Feed so that I no longer add to Knick Fix hits. That is really cool. Thanks again.
You made me laugh when you poo poohed the term “activist.” I know you know that an “activist” is one who acts to affect change based on his or her own principles, convictions or beliefs. There are all forms of activists and many different ways to contribute. Your very posts make you an activist. Not every activist carries a gun, leads a meeting, writes an article or carries a placard. We all would do well to act for and stand for something that helps give our presence in the community meaning. Sorry, I think that was not simple. My bad.
Post-up Prince and fellows, there is no need to wait for me to act for you to deal with this immediate problem. I will respond but it will take me quite some time to get to it and to do it with the thoroughness a final salvo deserves.
At the very least, let’s see if we can get this over with so we can enjoy our game tomorrow night.
P.S. Steady, please believe me when I say that your proposed tactic is an excellent one and could have easily been my preferred choice. Silence just doesn’t give me closure or make me feel like I have done my best to address or resolve this matter yet.

LAST ONE TO THE KNICKS FIX AND BACK IS AN ALPHA DOGGG Just Kiddin’, Just Kiddin’.
Lives @ 109,
Brilliant! One more word would lead to what economists call a diminishing return.
KFL
Lives,
You’re the bear.
KFL
LINY, I’d be thoroughly embarrassed to be called an “activist” if alls I did was boycott a whacky basketball blog. YMMV. By calling me an “activist,” buddy’s trying to change the dynamic of the conversation. Anyway, since I was new to the fixins, I have a lot less invested, emotionally. I posted my comment (as you saw above), got a -ve response, so screw “closure,” I’m movin on sideways, i’m on Defense. In web space hits/page views = money and money talks loudest. Fix, at the end of the day, is a commercial enterprise and I’m just switchin brands is all, lettin my clickin finger do the (back) talkin. Simple as that. But you do you. Ain’t no crime.
Starbury, I’m sayin you can still keep up with his news via feed reader.
p.s. Trust that Hahn himself or one/some of his cronies are here reading up on what we say. They know the deal. He can keep insulting all he wants, he’ll only reveal his small-minded, egotistical personality for all to see and he’ll bumble along with 8-10 comments per post (unless he decides to make up some aliases). Weak.
Anywayz, someone else said it first: back to Knicks! Are we any closer to figuring out what will be done for that last roster spot? Arrgh!

Lives’, amazing piece as usual.
Anyone know if the game tomorrow will be on ESPN gamecast?
Lives,
Love, peace, and admiration. In my eyes, you are sans fautes.

We don’t need Hahn’s site. He has one, two years on the beat, right? He is not an established insider. His blog served its purpose. We now have games to analyze. Like he also said, when there is a Knicks story, everyone has it. Also, once we start to win this year (which we KNOW will happen), there will be an excess of reporting and a lot of “egg” for the incorrect analysts.
WE ARE RIGHT HERE; WE DON’T NEED TO FIGHT. There is no need for protest.
I should say we don’t need to fight because avoiding his site is powerful enough.
sorry, YMMV = ol skool chatspeak for Your Mileage May Vary (iow, your situation/experience may be different).
i think it’s a bit weird to be pushing everyone else to go make a comment over at that whacky joint while you take your time to “compose” something “meaningful” (all the while writing up long comments over here). the boycott wasn’t my idea, but i thot it a good one and if it’s going to have some teeth, it’s going to require some self-discipline. as bill parcells is wont to say, don’t take the cheese. my “strategy” as it were is only addressed to those who want the boycott to be meaningful.
if anyone else wants to continue to comment over there, registering dissatisfaction that quite plainly will fall on deaf ears, well, i can’t stop you, free country. i think/hope that there are still enough folk who will make their presence felt via absence.
anyway, BACK TO KNICKS TALK! i’m not sure i wholly buy that argument re jones and defense. jones is basically second-unit material. the second unit won’t have a big problem playing D (and again i say Nichols is not a bum on defense) — it’s the first unit that has all the issues.
And now the spam has begun…
Isiah Thomas on Fred Jones:
“We find somebody that won’t let it happen,” Thomas said. “The answer is not, Eddy, do something. The answer is, You do something or I’ll find somebody else to do what you can’t do.”
BARF on AH:
I’m over it.
He’s gotten what he wanted(to get rid of the “bullies”). We’ve gotten what we’ve wanted(a place to chill sans spam).
The “people we do not speak of” has just welcomed another member.
Wow…
Where did this assault come from?
We didn’t even assault the Knicks Fix.
Shows who has the bigger blog LOL.
I think these 2 just want to join us. Eventually they will come around and we will welcome them.
BARF:
Welcome back! A nice article from the NYT, seems like Jones will very likely be one of the 15 players to start the season– but of course most of us already knew that about a week ago. Below are more truffles of media redundancy on the new Knick always Ready Freddie Jones.
http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/knicks/2007/10/16/2007-10-16_knicks_fred_jones_likely_to_send_allan_h.html
Additionally another pair of stories of our low post big boy Eddie Munster! Seems like he will likely play on wednesday against Boston. Me since I’m a big worry wort I still think he might be better off staying off at least another week and play at our home games. That is of course just my humble opinion.
http://www.nypost.com/seven/10162007/sports/knicks/ace_of_brace.htm
http://www.thejournalnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20071016/SPORTS01/710160366/1108
MY last point is that I will likely write an individual response to Hahn and let that mark my official exodus from the Fix. I like Follymacher’s idea of using a feeder server to keep me updated. But let me make a point here. The regular season is nearly upon us, so there will plenty of sources on the NYK, there will be several games per week so there is no real need for Hahn fix.
Also ignore these punks coming over trying to goad us into either go over there to rebut them, all that is needed at your liesure is an individual response to Hahn’s disrespect and a complaint ot his editors. Also if you think about it this whole drama has gotten us away from talking about the core about what the Defense is suppose to be about, NAMELY KNICKS BASKETBALL. SO from here on out I will just be posting news from around the world of the Knicks on the conference and division they play in.
“Eddie Munster”… I love that! Anyways, i still have my man-love for DNice, if he gets cut, I’m sure he’ll get picked up by another team within a week. It’s just a tough situation for him and the Knicks right now.
RJ’s healthy up in NJ. After spending the summer as the centerpiece of trade talks, he’s going to do what Jason Kidd did.
“Even though he was almost traded, he was still the ultimate professional. He was still out there competing at the highest level”
Hey, DVJ, thanks for the ups yesterday. You know I don’t miss a chance to post with ya’ll unless absolutely necessary. I definitely kept up with the haps but I couldn’t sit down to post. Plus, after reading that silly utterance out of our formerly gracious host, why would I? Dude, both you and I know, I could be bullish. But saying I’m a bully online is like calling the Pope a “really nice guy”. There’s to it than that.
But anyway, who really cares?…to save a world in despair?
There’ll come a time, when the world won’t be singin’
Flowers won’t grow, bells won’t be ringin’
Who really cares?
Who’s willing to try to save a world
That’s destined to die
When I look at the world it fills me with sorrow
Little children today are really gonna suffer tomorrow
Oh what a shame, such a bad way to live
All who is to blame, we can’t stop livin’
Live, live for life
But let live everybody
Live life for the children
Oh, for the children
Anyway, the Knicks are on to greener pastures. Basketball is still the reason why we have come together. The mainstream New York media’s decision to cover our hometown team in a perpetually negative light is still the intangible engine that drives us forward. We’ve gone through all of the NYC blogs and no commercial site will have us.
Its all to the good.
There’s to it than that = There’s more to it than that
Chuck FM- If Isiah cuts D-Nice, you and I can write him love letters requesting autographed pictures of him taking that sweet looking jumpshot.
“I think Eddy Curry’s mind-set right now is that he can do whatever he wants to do out on the floor when he wants to do it,” Thomas said. “He’s not just playing basketball no more, he’s really trying to dominate the opponent and dominate the game.”
Nice
Someone needs to pass along this tidbit from Jermaine O’Neal to ECity:
“We’ve been talking a lot about (passing), especially this year,” O’Neal said. “The more you pass, the better you are as a scorer because the defense is going to start loosening up and he’s going to be able to get his one-on-one touches in the game.”
Defenders:
Being that were getting back to trying to talk about basketball. I have to blow off some steam about all the not so friendly badgering of the Knicks lack of defense last year. While it is no doubt true that the Knicks were very much lacking in that category, I believe that Thomas’ focus on developing that phase of the team this year makes alot more sense than it would have made had Thomas focused on Defense Last year. Although it’s pretty much true that no matter what Thomas does now a days he’ll catch flack but an approach to reviving the young talent on the Knicks after the Brown debacle required an approach that IMHO emphasized offense and minimized berating the young group of players remaining from the Brown experiment.
Namely I believe that after going through a very demoralizing 2004-05 season with a coach who emphasized that one “play the right way,” while at the same time coaching a young group of players the wrong way by berating them and shuffling them– about 42 times– like a cheap deck of playing cards, Thomas offerred a fresh approach very much neccessary to reversing the on court results of the 2004-05 season that would moreover fluidly market the “youthyness” of the team to the viewing public and sell that one intangible all long suffering fans seek from a dormant franchise “HOPE.”
I see Thomas’ focus on the offensive aspect of the game as a necessary remedy to the bunker mentality, that might have resulted from the Brown tenure, a strategy that helped to open the team up to its potential rather than cornering them into a mental cage of their collective lackings. This approach was necessary not only for the sake of the players remaining from the Brown stint but moreover was a better approach to marketing the team. Why! To me it seems obvious that while “defense wins championships” offense and potential is the starting point to get butts in seats (BIS). And while currently public opinion seeks to berate the Knicks for their off the court woes and uses that story as a lynch pin for their current on court lackings and underestimation of the Knicks chances this season, imagine how the MSM in NY would have reacted to a team winning “ugly” and perhaps yielding the same or slightly better or worse record. More might have been said about the teams offensive woes perhaps that they need to trade for scorers, very counterintuitive when one considers the slow sadistic roasting of the Knicks over their history of misplaced spending sprees, that the team should be dismembered and disembowled to bring in more scoring. That argument thanks to Thomas’ strategy to rejuvinate his players phsyce and bring energy and hope into a dormant MSG court have been hedged off at the pass. Now this year’s team comes in with a rejuvenated sense of confidence in itself to be a competitive and exiting team due to its strong and very capable offensive talent base. With the rejuvination of the Baby Knick via the first phase of Thomas’ re-rebuilding plan the team is now in a position, confidence and abilitywise, to take on the challenge Thomas will ask of the them. A challenge to complete the circle of potential by becoming a team collectively and individually commited to defense. A challenge which with good graces should convert that owe so necessary hope into Championship calibur play in the years to come.
I know I’m to enthusiastic a person. Oh well! Better that than wallow in misery it’s not good for one’s healthy yall know!
BARF
I notice that aspect of the Post and other articles on Eddie Munster/E-City. I like that his mindset is to “DOMINATE” the game and his oposition. But surely as no mand is an island it is the passing aspect of Curry’s, along with his defensive prowess (rightly or wrongly), that often is critized. Attached is another article about the importance of passing to another of Curry’s competitors/rivals in the Atlantic Division.
Whoops here is the link.

Barf,
We missed you homie! Welcome back and Welcome Home! StarburyFan has graciously open his doors to US, and the hospitality is smoking and he makes you feel comfortable and at home. He is certainly the Host with the Most…LOL
The rest of the FAMILY is here and we were waiting for you…Great to see your posts.
LIVES IN NJ, #109 and #119 clearly illustrates once again that you are the DEFNEDERS Poet Laureate, and the eloquence and sincerity of your voice, your vision, and your character is Prima Fascia Evidence that your 3rd Eye is acute and your ethos is ‘One must walk by Faith and not by Sight.’ That predestinarian factor that has given your life purpose and meaning is quietly shared by many in StarburyFan’s house. It is worth repeating, that we are blessed to be blessings to our fellowman and it is our jobs to impact the LIVES OF OTHERS DAILY. LIVES I commend and respect you for not being afraid to display your Dynamic God-Consciousness, which under-girded with all of the critical elements that espouse Human Decency. WE SALUTE YOU!!!!! TWO GREAT POSTS…
Those of you who have responded and those who will choose to respond to AH and his Band of Fixers, it is your right, and I respect your right to exercise whatever methodology you deem fit to address the affront by AH and his Band of Fixers.
Like Statesman, my focus is on tomorrow, and I agree with the Defender that stated, “This should not be viewed or played like a statement game and let the yougins get their time and develop their games. It is ALL ABOUT THE JOURNEY WITHOUT HAVING TO KNOW THE OUTCOME, because the truth is, you have no control over it. Each stop on the JOURNEY will have its rewards and misgivings, but that is how VICTORY IS ACHIEVED…I wish I could see the game, but unfortunately that will not occur, but I’ve got one vivid imagination and I will meditate and see it on that Cosmic Realm. Real interested in Qrich’s game on tomorrow and JJEFRIES…This should also be a very good test for Morris, and we will see if he has learned anything from banging with ECITY from earlier on. I’m hoping DNICE get’s his shot and reveals whether he has the stomach for this as a KNICK and if he can be trusted 40 games down the road. The AH7 is a fascinating and interesting story. The intangibles he brings to table will reveal themselves down the road. I hope he plays well and meets his own objectives, and Like I posted earlier, his presence and his essence will pay dividends down the road, because I know he is SHARING HIS WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE, and his level of maturity has a way of rubbing off on those who are purposeful and dedicated to a cause. I beleive he has helped US tremendously already. This a game built on competence adn confidence and I believe OUR BELOVED KNCIKS are in possession of both…YOU GUYS ARE THE BOMB…Thanks for keeping this Forum moving and grooving StarburyFAN…
Keep it Poppin
Last minute additions.
Seems that health is not only a concern to the Miami Heat side of the Shaq Kobe Divide since the Laker’s Star Gaurd may have health concerns of his own. An article from Toronto regarding Coach Sam Mitchell’s take on the adverseness of current NBA players to to do the dirty work that was very much prized past NBA players such as Charles Oaklee. Lastly Peter Vecsey’s take on the impass in Cleveland with Verajao and Pavlovic and whether Lebron may have a role in helping to resolve the matter.
Check in way way later.
Have a great day guys.
Charley Rosen’s preview of the Atlantic Division:

At least he agrees that Jerome is a slug.
Wuz up my Alpha Dawgz,
I leave the net for a coulple of dayz and all hell breaks loose. You Defenders have effectively put a Chink in Alan’s armor and now he’s being exposed like a girl in a skirt on a windy day. I’m lovin it fellas and I want to apologize before hand because I’m going over there to antagonize him because that’s what type of person I am. One more day until the Redemption continues and we get to see the Knicks match up with the “paper champion” celtics and I hope we kick the shit out of those leperchauns. And I’m sorry I can’t agree with you guys about this being a statement game because of pre-season because like Zeke said we want to win every game. So that’s what I want to see happen. I want to see Eddy beasting against Perkins and want to watch Zach perculate against Garnett. While I could go on rubbing you guys ballz for being the best Damn Knick fans I have ever ran into on the net I’ll just leave it like this. Ain’t nobody and I mean nobody got nuffin on Knicks Defense. And it’s a back door way ya’ll can read alan’s blog without actually going to his blog. thebigpush.info has all the Knick information ya’ll need and I suggest it for all true Knick fans such as yourselves. Keep up the work Alpha Dawgz.
‘Lives’ good stuff as usual and my prayers go out for you and your family regarding your loss.
BARF-Young man that was one hell of a “change of pace & crossover”. Marvin put it all in perspective during that recording. The YouTube piece was great. Let’s not show Boston everything, save something for the regular season.
Peace & Blessings
Hey Statesman, no doubt I got the change the pace move in my repertoire.
I think the people who have posted their opinions here have proven their point. My opinion will be posted when the mood hits me. To sit here and try to rationalize my disappointment would be foolish and self defeating. I owe no one an explanation as to my post’s intentions or my online character’s motivations.
I think the Knick fan community that lives and enjoys itself here, speaks for itself. No matter what blog we’ve chosen to use as our medium, we’ve all had a good time. All of us have been proven wrong and all of us have had our moment to shine.
For someone who we considered a gracious host to label and generalize the group, as if to say, any of us is ONE WAY ALL THE TIME, just speaks to his level of intolerance and misunderstanding.
I guess while we were holding it down during the offseason and he was doing home renovation, he didn’t really appreciate the fun we had with his home. Who’da thunk it?
Any of you ever meet a beautiful girl in the midst of a busy period in your life (ex: new job, multiple jobs, family sickness, etc) and fall in love. But, when your life went back to normal and you had more time to spend with that girl…you realized you didn’t really like spending time with her.
That’s what happened to Alan. An appreciation for hip hop doesn’t make you hip hop. A past life of hoops doesn’t make you a bball fan. Just goes to show, the offseason isn’t the time to make a new friend.
LoL.
I don’t know if that makes sense but I thought it was funny.
sbfan, as per your recommendation, I have a blog in the works. I’m still trying to figure out what purpose it will serve. You’ve got the comment section thing down…so I doubt mine will be that. I’m just trying to collect info now and figure out what’s not been done.
booman, that link you provided is good. THE BIG PUSH. I was thinking of doing something like this with my blog until you ruined it for me. HAHA
Now I’m back to the drawing board. I’ll be a regular visitor there though. Good stuff.
