Articles like these are exactly the kind that motivated me to start knicksdefense.com. I don’t even have time right now to fully dissect this garbage, trying to make the post office downtown, but I will say that nosebleeds still cost $10, not $50 as this bozo implies.
“Will things go better this year? Thomas sent up-and-comer Channing Frye to the Portland Trailblazers (with Steve Francis) for Zach Randolph. He’s a perfect fit with the Knicks’ new mentality: anything goes, and nobody wins.”
HAHA! “Up and coming” Channing and franchise for Zbo is a bad deal according to this clown. Whatever.

It is worse than I initially thought. It is actually an entire issue devoted to Knicks bashing.

Shouldn’t we be praising Dolan instead of bashing him? I mean it was his idea to keep Isiah and give him his extension….even though everybody else thought we should fire him.
I respect Dolan and his decisions….also it looks like his pops agrees with him because they both came out together and said no changes will be made.
Great job Dolans…
This is a great blog !! I posted over on Alans blog a little earlier. Game tomorrow night fellas.
Boston won again and Ray Allen scored 28 points.
They played the Timberwolves so who cares?
I hate preseason but I guess we need it.

Bosh To Sit
October 10, 2007 – 11:20 pm
Globe And Mail –
Chris Bosh will not play in the Toronto Raptors ‘ exhibition game against Real Madrid tonight. The all-star missed his second successive day of practice with an unspecified problem with his left knee.
“I’m sitting out right now until I heal 100 per cent and make sure I’m right for the season,” Bosh said.
Bosh said his knee has been bothering him for about a week.
“I really don’t know what caused it. It could be one of those chain reactions the trainers are always talking about,” he said. “I’m just going to sit down for a moment and come up with an approach to handle it the right way.” [READ]
We’ve all seen these type of injuries before and we all know eventually they lead to surgery. I’m not saying season ending surgery but surgery none the less.

Stern Says He Hasn’t Ruled Out Taking Action Against Knicks, Isiah
October 10, 2007 – 7:18 pm
ESPN –
NBA commissioner David Stern stressed Wednesday that he has not ruled out the possibility of taking punitive action against the New York Knicks or coach Isiah Thomas in the wake of the civil action that reached its conclusion last week.
Stern also revealed that the league will not be firing any more of its referees after interviewing all 60 on staff in an attempt to unearth further conduct violations following the Tim Donaghy betting scandal.
Speaking in London before the Boston Celtics played the Minnesota Timberwolves at the O2 Arena as part of the NBA’s Europe Live tour, Stern reacted angrily to media reports that he is planning no action against the Knicks, team owner James Dolan or Thomas himself.
“Unfortunately, once again the New York Times headline writer said something that didn’t appear in the text of my remarks, and the remarks themselves were badly mangled,” Stern said.
“… What I said then was it was still under consideration, that there were many issues having to do with understanding the transcripts, understanding what exactly the jury did and what role a further appeal should play in considering this. And further, I said that I wanted to discuss this with the [NBA] board of governors.
“The headline said ‘Stern not taking any action,’ but the article will be searched in vain to find me saying that. Now that has been picked up as a fact because it appeared in a New York Times headline.” [READ]
