The New York Times’ Howard Beck reports that Curry has been re-examined by team doctors who say Curry will be out a maximum of two weeks. Curry will probably make the season opener against the Wolves. Though you’d ideally like Randolph and Curry to acquaint themselves during the preseason, at least Eddy will start working with Zach when the games that matter begin in November.
No word on Jerome James’ status as of yet.

Nice Starburyfan.
I will stop by from time to time and share some goodies if you don’t mind.
I am enjoying the reads and responses to our “wacky” adventure at KF, however, if Hahn does not respond more positively to those who have made his blog, then I can easily not post and hang out with FI who doesn’t pretend to care.
Until later, peace.
Oh, thanks for the Isiah popcorn pic. Chicago is known for some fabulous popcorn, like Garnetts, and I bet he would hang out downtown like me and stop by the popcorn place to get that delicious mix of cheese and caramal popcorn. I must get me some of his.
Sup Starbury fan,
Keep it poppin brother! I will check on you. Sad that Hahn allowed the hollow to sink his ship, peace.
What’s up Starburyfan…keep it poppin homey.
Can you curse on this shit?
Good to see Steady,Lives in Jersey,BARF, Coolyhigh,BXboy in Md and Davonn here! Starburyfan was always(no homo) my favorite
poster from KK, even after he left for while after Calling Isola a Prick, when he tried to sneak back and post
I would always call him out by name and he would say ” Peacman, how did you know it was me?” I think it was our mutual hate for Isola and the Nets that gave me radar to knowing your posts under any handle!
Most of you guys know I’m in the medical field, so let me say this about Curry’s injury. All that medical terminology being put out about him equals nothing but a deep Fucking Bruse! Also remeber Balkman’s “Stomach bug” that kept him on the bench the last month of last years season? That was major bullshit too! There’s two senarios here that I believe to be true.
1. Neither is hurt and both have a guarrenteed spot on this team, so Zeke may want this current lineup on the floor to secure a trade for Artest, keeping Balkman out of the trade as he’s “Injured.”
2. Neither are hurt, but Zeke has the weight of the world on his shoulders to cut a player that may very well
hurt/haunt the team in the future, so if both are “out”… he’s covered because the cut was made because of the current
“INJURIES”……either way it’s just Zeke trying to play his best poker hand, and minumize any collateral damage from that decision!
WE GET TO SEE OUR KNICKS PLAY IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS! LETS KEEP BLOGGIN PEEPS!
Peace:
There you go with your conspiracy theories again! Why would Zeke keep Curry out, when he needs to have reps with Zach? I I really don’t get that one.
Artest looked great last night. He had 5 dimes in the first half. I can see him doing that for us, but just be patient.
Thanks for hooking us up with those pics of last years Knicks open practice. I’ll be waiting for the next set you take at this years practice.
I was wondering if their will be a refugee relief fund by way of the sales of the Drossburrys– just check KK to see what I’m talking about. Shit bugged me out LMFAO!
Hey if you could hook up the site so we could ad content as new developments come in the site could be more dynamic.
African,
This is preseason, if Zeke has to give burn to players to either make a decision to trade
or cut someone, Currys not needed! Conspiracy theories? Look up the Exact injury to Curry! Theres many medical sites to do this, you will find it’s nothing but a deep Bruse! Don’t believe me? Get a second opinion! Go to any NY Sports club/GYM, find a personal trainer with a degree in that field. Ask him or her the exact state of injury to Curry as written in the papers, they will tell you it’s a FUCKING BRUSE! I don’t have to justify my opinion to you, But I do out of respect for you! At least return the favor!
O&B
Who Else?
Peaceman,
You can put your shoulder down and block African from reachin’ in with the words “Just Bloggin”. I’ve seen where youa re wrong but I’ve told you before that your mind and mine work about the same. I like to look at the story behind the story. And I firmly believe that 1 out of 5 NYers are conspiracy theorists–maybe 2. I, too, bloggin’ said (at that wacky blog)that Balkman already made the team and was taken off line for any trades. One reason why I will always look behind the story and what the media writes/says is because of what “The Big Aristotle” said: “The N.B.A. stands for Nothing But Actors”.
If you all don’t mind, I will post here and @ Modi’s joint. I’ve submitted a reaction blog to each chapter of his interesting book. Thanks for finding that source and handle BARF.
While I would like to be steady on my position, I’m inclined to see if the other daily does the responsible thing and modify that banner (useless by design standards because of the real estate it occupies on the page). By Friday, my decision will be final. In the meanwhile, steady as I go. There’s no sense in causing someone to see that another person dissed them (called them a name). You either know it and act accordingly or hang around and wish it wasn’t so. Life is not that serious but one must take him/herself seriously or noone else will.
BARF, thanks for that warning about the trade scenario and OTP post. I know, you’re just bloggin’. I’m also concerned, as posted by Cooleyhigh, that Morris lack passion and drive. To have both E-City and Morris with no warrior instincts troubles me. That’s the only thing I like about Kwame Brown. I don’t see it happening because I see JJ going the route of medical retirement if anything else. I’m just bloggin’.
KFL
Just joined the group. I am waiting to see what, if anything, Alan
Hahn can do about the “Whacky” business in the lead banner for his
blog. Most “fixers” have weigned in clear opposition to the “Whacky”
stuff. I suggested to Alan that he provide us the e-mail or phone
of a person to contact at Newsday, in case the messages posted are
not sufficient to convince his supervisor(s) that the most prolific
and articulate bloggers who “hit” the site are about to leave en
masse. He and the Newsday leadership can then “get over it.” We
are angry at the negative image constantly cast upon the beleagured
Knicks.
I hope Isiah receives a standing O at his introduction tomorrow night
despite the “boobirds” in the press. The players have voiced thier commitment to both Isiah and Dolan in numerous interviews. I expect that their determination will be demonstrated on the court, beginning tomorrow night. A winning season will vindicate the owner, coach, team members and loyal fans alike. and thereby leave the N.Y. sports media to “whack off” by themselves. KFL
O&B
True, more dynamic. I wonder how that would work…allowing others to add more content I mean.
Quick Link roundup:
Kelenna Azubuike led the preseason Warriors with 27 points last night against the Lakers. Troy Hudson sealed the win with a last second shot with 3 tenths of a second remaining.
“Bryant had a quiet nine minutes in the first half, going scoreless on one shot with four turnovers. On many occasions he looked to pass first, most notably when he passed up a sure fastbreak dunk, giving the ball instead to Maurice Evans for two.”
Thank goodness Isiah draft’s for talent and not for need. The time for Kings to make trades is now. Their lone big man draft pick Spencer Hawes has gone under the knife.
“What’s more, Hawes has a history of knee trouble. He revealed last week that he had microfracture surgery on the same knee when he was 14 in a different area of the knee — a procedure performed by Holland. According to team spokesman Troy Hanson, Hawes came back too quickly from the procedure, with his early return leading to another similar procedure six months later. In addition, Hawes had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee before his freshman season at Washington and was out for five weeks.”
Joakim Noah is getting some attention in Chicago. The New Yorker scored six points, four rebounds and four assists in 23 minutes. According to Coach Skiles, Tyrus Thomas “made a couple of explosive plays but he mostly just stood around flat-footed and looked out of gas”. Still they are as happy with their young prospects at the PF position as we are with Eddy Curry’s weight loss this off-season(trade still looks good for both teams):
“Who knows what the ceilings are for Thomas and Noah. This is clear: Noah continues to display the ability to handle and distribute the ball, a rare skill for a player nearly 7 feet tall”.
Blog Round Up:
Berman finally updates his blog after spending the past week krazy-glued to a public restroom’s toilet seat(joke). He’s up to his usual of smattering solid information with his brand of gossipy ramblings:
“I wrote in the paper today Isiah would like to keep Jones for support in the locker room. Jones was one of Isiah’s guys in the Pacers’ locker room. Coaches need as many allies as possible, especially with Thomas’ longterm status potentially on shaky ground.”
We shouldn’t let an slow-footed tech guy squeeze out the joy of our fellowship. Still my favorite guy, Alan Hahn comes up with pretty much the same:
“Fixers, I see the turmoil in your posts. I feel your frustration. I am watching the village, as you like to put it. Threatening to boycott me like I’m Sal’s Famous Pizza? That’s on you. This blog will be here. It’s my house, all are welcome to come and go as they please. Let the content be your reason, not some inane word in a subhead and an initial blow-off by an overworked, underappreciated dot-com guy in a cubicle at Melville. I know this guy, he’ll take care of it. These guys are like postal workers. Ride them too much and they start popping like bubble wrap. All that code makes ya crazy.”
Frank Isola’s pulling up the rear with yesterday’s joke of a post. I think he’s conceded defeat and spending the extra time at home counting his extra NBATV earnings. He’s laughing all the way to the bank guys:
“If you want to blame anybody for the Yankees failure to win a World Series over the past seven years look no further than the Knicks. Starting in 2001, the Knicks have yet to produce a playoff series win. During that the same stretch, the Yankees have fallen short of winning a title.
Instead of pointing the finger of blame at Joe Torre, Brian Cashman, Jeter, A-Rod, Clemens or Mo, I’m blaming Jeff Van Gundy, Don Chaney, Lenny Wilkens, Larry Brown, Isiah Thomas, Scott Layden, Stephon Marbury and Eddy Curry.”
Poignant stuff.
Later New York Knicks fans!!!
Have a happy hump-day. Thursday and Friday are coming…you know what that means!!!!
Saturday’s close.
So this is the new and cool—non-”wacky” hangout blog?

Good looking out Steady!
Did you guys see Berman’s story TODAY that Nichols fell from a Bubble First round pick to 53rd in the second
because of a FAKE POSITIVE TEST FOR HEPATITIS C? Thats alone could lead Nichols to sue the Hell out of the first teams Medical staff for a drop in income because of his stock dropped because of that misdiagnosis! Visit DX Express Draft 2007 and read Nichols Camp press at Orlando! He made 9 of 13 during the second day of camp and was unguardable by all! He scored at will! He was the BEST offensive player at the entire camp! I don’t know where Berman uncovered that story, but Zeke would be insane to even think about cutting this Kid!
That 9 for 13 that D-Nice took was beyond the three point line. Sorry I left that out!
I was feeling to whacky at that other blog. Had to get some whacky relief.
Barf,
As usual, great linkage and update info on other happenings in the league. What happen to Dnice is unfortunate, and it happens to some players every year in Football adn Basketball.
Based on locale, I will not be able to see the game, but I am hopeful my FIXERS will me posted. True, the comp is questionable, the working out the kinks is more important and this is certainly a chance to do that. Let’ hope no further injuries (?) are sustained.
Oh, Peaceman, I hear you about the injury scenario, and it is definitely plausible with Balkman, and you’re onto something about Curry too, Because I checked and your point was confirmed, so Zeke is being cautious, and ECity can still keep is conditioning intact, because there isn’t a damn thing wrong with his legs…LOL Another Dnice scenario, might be to IR him for a minute, let him catch up and strengthen up, and work on his defensive game in practice. The kid has stroke it is the other areas I’m concerned with and so is IT…Just a thought!
Keep it POPPIN
@ Coolyhigh,
I’m glad we are on the same team! In life, a lot of people go head to head before
becoming friends for life! Here’s my sincere Olive branch as brothers! Also, I was sure you
would check up on what I wrote about Curry’s injury, and I was waiting for your feedback!
And as I predicted, it was in the words of Gus Johnson, “PURE.”
Starburyfan
Thanks for this outlet! I don’t want to Dross this blog with another Nichols post, but I
Just spoke to a friend from Boston who is a Native NYER and Knicks fan, who’s doing his residency at
MASS General! His word is that Nichols being a Boston Native, has the Celtic’s licking there chops and praying
that the Knicks Cut him, as they will sign him in a heartbeat, for more Money than anyother team would offer, as they need youth to go along
with the Vets, especially a HOMETOWN KID! Gotta go see the Dentist! Peace out!
Yo, Peaceman, when did you dunk on me at West 4, buddy? I didn’t get dunk on the whole summer. I only play against those with no dunking ability. lol
Nichols should stay. I’ve been saying that since day one. A player with his ability would make you pay in the future if he get cut. And if go on Boston—watch out! I rather keep D Nichols then Balkman to tell you the truth. This guy is a keeper. His defense can improve, but his offense is the realist. Again, he’s a keeper!
BARF,
Thanks for the cross pollenation. AH has to believe that life works both ways or is he that veiled by hypocrisy. We did not just leave KK just for kicks–we had reasons. We left his blog because he was starting to show disrespect and will return when/if he gets it right as he is trying to suggest. If he’s really watching the village, how could he allow that bunk to appear in the first place. And no, he was not just bloggin’. That silly article about the boo birds is also BUNK! ABS. He could have left that stuff for the other two jokers to pop that sh!t. Of all the topics that he could have addressed as a story. The media must really feel that it sells more papers to trash on the NYK as opposed to stay within the confines of the sport and report/criticize there.
This type of article about “boobirds” is what I would classify as irresponsible journalism. It is an opinion held by Hahn that people going to the game “may” boo. He writes it that they “will” boo. If they were not thinking about going to the game or booing for that matter, now they have something else to consider for that night. By the stroke of his keyboard, the journalist has incited the people. I tell ya’ll Knick Defenders (better as a defender than a “fixer” Cooleyhigh), the media is DANGEROUS. We are the defense for our beliefs and passions–at all levels. The only edge they have is a damn Press Pass–those are the credentials, a stinkin’ Press Pass. Any newspaper/radio/TV company can apply for one from MSG if you show a license. I need so no more on this. Ya’ll know what’s good.
KFL
MM Peacemen,
Conspiracy? So you mean to tell us the doctors in SC and NY are just liars? I think Balkman’s injury is also legit and personally, it creeps me out the most (these Stress fractures).
Trades
I think SAC will now want to make a trade more than ever but will they bite at JJefferies and Randolf Morris and a couple of draft picks for Ron? I doubt it. The Knicks could also explore the Shawn Marion angle. Though he is a bit over-priced, that will get us to the top. Steve Kerr goofed up by trading Kurt. Who knows what he wouldn’t do? Malik Rose, R Morris + picks for Marion. My gut feeling is Isiah will keep D-NICK. He will likely keep rotating some guys on the injured list just to give him a chance.
My 2 Cents
Defenders,
I think Cooleyhigh was just bloggin’ but I’m also of the opinion that there will be at least one player stashed on IR this year. The H20 move will happen so that DNice gets groomed as H20 gets groomed. There are multiple plots going on in my mind and the intrigue is just so intense and captivating. You all keep it real and pure with your individual passions.
BARF,
One reason I see IT not doing the Kwame thing is the Air factor. We all know that Jordan has no eye for talent. IT dulls his shine/luster trading for him (Kwame) which would tacitly say that Jordan was right about Kwame being a playah. The Lil’ General (4*) is that much of an egomaniac (to me). I ain’t startin’, I’m just bloggin’.
KFL
Anti, nice to see you around kid. Where you been at?
Catching up reading on reading and working…be back in a bit
BARF,
That scenario about KB in LA…do you think he’s back to his old antics again? He must want to get out of there in a bad way. I remember when SM tried to pull that sh!t with IT and he got benched–then they cleared the air life was good again at MSG. Only IT can coach SM–sorry to say. Ain’t startin’, just bloggin’.
KFL
Steady, I hear you. But the real draw of the trade I proposed was the expiring contract. At this point of the game, I.T. needs to open up his roster. The depth is becoming a problem.
You hear me?
Depth is becoming a problem. Nice problem to have right?
You can’t have a roster full of “projects”. DLee and Nate are now 3 year vets. Balk and Collins are 2nd year vets. Chandler and D-Knick, rooks.
Thats 6 spots out of 15.
Next year, how many draft picks are you going to add to the roster?
Its about time Isiah start making room for next year’s draft lot.
I don’t know about you but I prefer Balkman and Chandler behind Q-Rich at the SF. That leaves no room for Jeffries at the 3. I don’t want to put him at the 4 because that will eat up any time for DLee or Malik at that position. If Jeffries is going to be squeezed out, might as well trade him.
I say let’s get him some burn and showcase his abilities (cuz he DOES have some) and get him primed and ready for a trade (the way he did with Frye last year by starting him).
If the Lakers don’t see potential in a trio of talent with Odom, Jeffries and Kobe…then I dont know whats wrong with them. His contract terms are decent (around $5mil a year, less than what Rick Fox was making for them) and it gives them a guy who does not need the ball to be effective. Odom and Kobe both need the ball to make things work. They both have jump shooting abilities. You don’t need another one of those. The team dynamics are completely different. You remember how Kukoc thrived in Phil Jackson’s triangle? How Scottie did? Jeffries could fill that role. I don’t even see that being a big deal.
Now as far as Kwame on the Knicks goes…he’s okay. He knows how to use his body. We don’t need someone off the bench to provide post-scoring. He just needs to play some defense, provide fouls and get up and down the floor in a hurry with the second team.
Kwame’s been paid like a franchise player throughout his career. I think its about time he start the second phase of his career…BACK UP DUTY. If he wants to continue this thing we call the “NBA Life”, he needs to come to terms with the fact that he will never be a superstar. He hasn’t broke through yet and he probably never will. Still, he CAN score. He CAN rebound. He just won’t be “jaw-droppingly” good at either of those things.
We can eat his salary for a year and if he does well, sign him to a 3yr deal at half that ($5 mil). If he refuses or does not do well with this run and gun second team and his role within it, then don’t resign him and the payroll goes to $87 next year.
By the way, by sending both JJ’s, we could keep D-Knick. Forget about AH20. He’s just another assistant coach and doesn’t realize it yet.
Jazz
Name the MD’s you are talking about in SC and NY! Can you?
Keep in mind these MD’s are paid for by the Teams that employ them and
will over/under diagnose whats in the teams best interest!
In malpractice cases, Doctors lie all the time! Some are paid handsome fees
to sway a rhetorical diagnosis to the party thats calling them as an Expert witness!
Tell me, How did Balkman get hurt? Where’s the story? Isn’t it coinsidence that one day he just felt some ankle pain? Just bloggin!
“Only IT can coach SM–sorry to say. Ain’t startin’, just bloggin’.”
I agree.
Game recognize game.
Which translates to, I can only respect those who understand what I’m going through.
Steph’s been through what most great PG’s will never understand.
BARF,
Good stuff; useful, very useful.
Peaceman,
Some things you see and say; others you see and just hope others could see without having to say. That has always been the story of humanity. You’re not alone big fella; you’re a King of the F’n Hill.
KFL
Wow. We’re a freakin’ movement. Like a Tsunami. LOL. Later tonight.
Steady, my Bag! Defenders the HIGH apologizes. Defenders, some folk will never understand our position because they have been taught to tolerate anything. I was taught, “If you don’t stand for something you will FALL for anything.” AH has been drifting closer and closer to the center of the media bias, based on his last few atricles and posts. For me, it is never personal, strcitly business. Respect is a two-way proposition.
For the record, my initial gut feelings about DNice have not changed, but I do agree his has an upside if he is ready and willing to work hard on his game, and I think IT did not reach out for him to cut him, but he has to PROVE he is more than a shooter IMHO.
Peaceman, yes we are brothers despite different Mothers. I thought our back and forth on Sunday brought US all closer together because the TRUE BELIEVERS reached out in BORHTERHOOD to suggest we resolve our dispute and expressed how they viewed our value. IT MADE US CLOSER ALL OF US!
Starburyfan, your site is blowing up, and although the numbers are still growing, I was also taught, “Oatmeal is better than no meal.” If we keep posting at the highest level, and don’t allow others or our differences to divide US, we could have the NY Media blogging with US, because in the end if you ask me, a blog is only as good as the Men and Women who have the courage and the conviction to post their contentions, and support those contentions with facts and not fiction, thriving on integrity and not lunacy.
Keep it POPPIN DEFENDERS…(Steady, thanks for pulling my coat…Good looking out and much appreciated).
Fellas,
I must say that I am not surprised at the turn of events. The word for today is D-I-S-C-E-R-N-M-E-N-T. It was very easy to see through Hahn. It appears that Hahn thought the waiver(pass) was unconditional. The bit about a techie making the call should have insulted everyone. Hahn really believed that he was Gotti (the Don). If he put it on someone else then it would not stick to him,-Teflon. “Teflon Hahn”.
Peaceman, I not buying the Artest scenerio. Zeke will make subtractions not additions. It would be too complicated incorporating Artest into the line-up after the players get comfortable w/ Zach. ‘Love the one you’re with’.
Steady- I agree on the booing of Zeke. That article is very close to inflamming the fans. Hey I could be wrong, cause I’m just bloggin.
Peace & Blessings
High, I’m not choosing to hate on Hahn, I’m just rolling with the fellas. Hahn remains the top of the heap when speaking of the NY Sports writers. You can’t deny it. He’s hustling out there and I don’t want to take that away from him.
Like Lives says, we’re a movement. Let’s call it the way it is. I’m not patting ourselves in the back, I’m just calling it the way I see it.
If I don’t want to visit a site where I am forced to post under the word “wacky” because it is describing what I am doing as wacky…then I have that right.
Just like people have the right to continue to post there. Not a problem.
I’m not judging Alan, who I consider to be a writer who sets himself apart from the rest with his hustle. I’m not condemning dude. I read through some of the articles in his archives. He sounds like a dude that wants to do a fair and thorough job.
But still, I feel like as a movement of like-minded Knick fans, we have our own job to do.
It may seem frivolous to some. That’s okay. It just further sets us apart.
I said I would be back tonight, but I couldn’t help but peek at a few comments. You guys are awesome. Quite frankly, when Steady (or was it States) talked about leaving the blog I felt it was the only thing to do to get the point across. I certainly did not think there would be a mass exodus. In fact, I thought I would peek and some jokers would start saying good riddance, which would have been cool with me.
But Alan doesn’t quite get it. I could have tolerated “whacky” to hang out with you guys, but not the disrespectful dismissal after we helped him build “his” house. It is his house and I am not interested in telling him what to write but why should I support a blog that unnecessarily labels our fanaticism as a joke. Not the kid. Too many places to post. Alan’s got it wrong. It’s not about him unless he is the one who told us to “forget about it.” It is about Newsday properly acknowledging its customer and consumer by responding appropriately to a simple ass request. It’s not that serious until it was made serious.
Anyway, I really enjoy reading you guys. I’ll have to catch up later. I will post back at Hahn when the wacky is gone, but I will not abandon Starburyfan either. I’ll drop by here and maybe publish some original content here first.
Frankly, I don’t care where we do this shit together, because this is about to be a blast.
I’ve got indepth (you know what that means) analysis of every Atlantic Division team coming in late October. Some fun stuff. I’ll let you know where I post it later.
Peace out.
Cooleyhigh,
Before I read you, I thought that Lives and Tman were the most cerebral reads on a sports blog. And then you came in uber fashion–you went metaphisical. Harlem MD would tell you how steady goes. You’ve heard my studder-step dribble (no palm) in the past.
Permission to use the Oatmeal line–my momma (SRIP) ain’t around no more to give these nuggets. She did leave me with the “you tell on yourself by the company you keep” statement. Stars, chiefs and heros (and even idiots) are “made” by the village and gain legitimacy ONLY because of them. Luther (SRIP) did remake “A HOUSE is not a home”. No matter where I go, I will always be a DEFENDER of my passion and beliefs. At this moment, the NYK and NYC are my (external) passions.
KFL
Stateman
I respect your opinion and you may be right!
On the other hand, I can’t see Thomas cutting anyone
when a trade can be made. Did you catch the Article about Coach Reggie from the
Kings imposing a curfew on his team, even though Jerry Sloan lifted his on the Jazz?
Artest is a night socialite, and has always been. I SPECULATE that this is a sign that
he’s not long for that team! I also SPECULATE that a three team trade may go down to
where Bibby ends up in Miami and Artest ends up in NY! Just bloggin!
DAMN STARBURYFAN…..YOUR BLOWING UP! SOME “WHACKY” SHIT, AIN’T IT!
BARF Cooleyhigh,
Been checking in from time to time. Amen Brothers.
By the way ESPN.com seems to confirm that AH20 will soon be attending Knicks practices. It seems that the nets alsi informed him that it would be better for him to accept any open invitations.
Quote:
“Allan Houston’s chances of jumping into the mix diminished considerably as soon as the Nets signed Darrell Armstrong to be part of their backcourt rotation, and now there’s no way around it: Houston can’t fit. The team has informed his agent that it would be prudent for him to take any camp invitations offered by the Knicks or others, according to a Nets official who required anonymity because he doesn’t speak for the team….”
Does this not frustrate any possible scenario to try to Keep DNice?
I enjoy the togetherness you dudes exude. As Tupac would say “Let no man seperate what we create.” NY sportswriters need to understand that their cover has been blown. That we can see the hypocrisy in there actions and words which is why the people have created a site as to not have to be apart of their attack on Isiah and the Knicks. On the cosellout web page I read the Myth of Isiah and they say that Isiah usually just gets three years before he is removed from a positon. Dolan gave my main man Zeke a lil while longer and I’m positve that the results will be dy no mite.
In other knews around the Eastern Confrences Atlantic Division, other big men are working though injuries, dealing with their knees. Whether Curry’s injury is part of a larger scheme or is more serious than thought– the papers have very different takes on this and so do the Defenders as I see– the East’s big men are also feeling the pain.
Check the links.

Check in later
I will literally barf if AH makes the team over D-Knick.
I don’t know who coined the term first among the Defenders, but it somes up what the “wacky” in Hahn’s blog really get at.
“You can’t be neutral on a moving train”
Either with the stream that seeks to take reporting and presenting a sports team in a serious and responsible light, despite the “comericial deman” to sell copy by baffooning a team and its fan base, or join the COSELLOUTS as Modi has aptly coined them.
Now I’m really out.
Thank you guys for spreading the word after the the Wacky Fixer fallout; we need Knick Blog alternatives in case Alan ends up going the path of Isola—the dark side.
Maybe Alan didn’t write the “wacky world of the New York Knicks.” I want to give Alan the benefit of the doubt, because he’s been pretty good to us in the past. Worlds better than the competition, that’s why it boomed like it did. We didn’t have too many problems until the blog changed its layout and disgusting subtitle. Only now am I beginning to understand why African kept saying “the village is watching.” Let’s see if he changes it…
I think it is a good idea for us to each have our own knick blogs because it seems each blog has it’s own rules and standards of conduct, and in The Knicks Fix’s case, I found out the hard way that they don’t appreciate Knicks news from the competitors. Okay, I’ll post that stuff here going forward.
That said I welcome you to this knicks blog and it is very cool that you have chosen to post your astute comments here. You are always welcome here.
>>>
I’m 50-50 on going to the game tomorrow against Israel, but I’ll definitely check out the open practice next week so check back for pictures.
As my man Cooleyhigh would say, keep it popping, my knicks brothers.
>>>
Peaceman, I give you props for everyone coming together on knicks fix and now here on Knicks Defense. Hey, Balk really looks hurt to me, but maybe you’re on to something with Eddy. There is certainly a percentage of Knicks fans that think Isiah only needs one, either Zach or Eddy, so maybe…
African, you’re right, we could use Artest!
Steady, have you seen those cats by 34th street that say strange stuff like “the sun revolves around the earth.” Talk about conspiracy theories. And down by WTC you have all the 9-11 truth people trying to preach to the tourists. 2 out of 5 new yorkers, perhaps…
Welcome to Lives in Jersey, Loves NY (you’re from Chi?), BUMRUSH40, Post-up-prince, Anti-NY(check my link to your blog homie), booman, and everyone reading this.
“Defenders,” I like that Steady, you the man…
OK Peace,
i will give you that. I still feel the upside to the players training and playing together far outweighs if they do not in the preseason. That might lead them to a slow start which I don’t want.
Anyway looks like Houston will be reporting for Knicks training on Friday (in2 days time) I wonder what D-Nice is thinking?
I can’t imagine Houston finds a way on to the roster ahead of anyone. D-Knick may be a rookie, but he’s got a better motor…he’s taller…more healthy and cheaper. Out of respect, Alan Houston gets a run on the training camp roster.
But that respect better go out the window in the hardwood. D-Knick better take it right to him and run those knees of his into the ground. If that old man makes the squad before D-Knick…oh…i dont want to think about that.
BARF- I hear you man. this is a strange turn of events for the knicks. some might even dare say “wacky”?
my bad…
Jazz–I like that nickname D-nice for Demetris, good stuff.
This Alan Houston signing is very curious. I bet this does not make Zeke very happy because it puts a lot more pressure on him not to spit in the face of Knick history and not to be mean to Mr. Good Guy. Cutting AH7 could be a public relations nightmare (rather the continuation of the current one) if the press wants it to be.
I heard a couple of the guys opine that it was a little too early to draw roster conclusions from one pre-season game. Normally, I would agree but the signs go well beyond that oen game. Have you seen the MSG subscription marketing which included Fred Jones and Wilson Chandler and not Jared Jeffries.
Wow. AH7 could not possibly be in game shape. Of course, he could work himself into game shape, but do we know his limits. AH7 really does not fit with the second unit which is meant to be a speed unit, full-court and half-court pressure with fast break action. In the first unit, he would need some of QRichs minute but that creates a big hole in the first unit defensive dam. Boy this is tough.
Sorry guys, but neither D-Nice nor D-Nick are in the plans for now. IT said he wants to win now and that is the mandate. D-Nice is not NOW; he is a year or two from now.
The story for now, though, is AH7. This will be painfully fun to watch because I hear he still has the shot.
Finally, I don’t think he makes the team unless Dolan puts pressure on Coach.
Lives,
I think the script for our side is already written since Draft night. We’re just on the outside bloggin’ in. (lol)
KFL
True that, Steady.
But with that said, what do you do with AH7? Just say thanks, but no thanks? Interesting that the Nets were not interested.
Lives,
Like I said, I’m just bloggin’ here but I think the H20 (now H7) script was written at the moment he went for medical retirement. JJ7 is on that track now.
And what about AH7 you say? Just bloggin’ here so I say H7 is in house to stay and play and be groomed as the next President of MSG. Mills, I think is or should be the sacrificial lamb for the ABS fiasco. That is part of my major post intended for the other blog until the utter disrespect. Their techie has tweaked the time/date stamp but did not see fit to remove the word wacky “yet”. Plus, the journalist is puffin’, talkin’ about his house, inciting the masses to boo at MSG tomorrow, and suggesting that his people in Melville will look into it. That’s why it’s critical to be mindful about the prophets, false that they may be, and the heros we make, irresponsible that they may be(come). Steady as IT goes.

Maybe Hahn just didn’t like the kissy kissy on his blog?
Are we too nice to each other?
Maybe we should start disagreeing with each other for the hell of it…Maybe African’s right…HA!
Just joking with you man.
