Thanks O&B for the hookup. I’ll be there for that, any of you fixers (ex-fixers?) going to go?
I’m going to look around and see if I can find some photos from last year’s practice in Jersey, that was a great event because we were so close to the action and we got to meet a few of the knicks players.
Welcome to all the recent visitors, MODI, Steady, BARF, Bronxboy in Md, PEACEMAN, Jazz, and Orange and Blue. Good to have you on board and I’ll do my best to keep you interested in my Knicks blog. Like MODI, I started this because of the apparent bias in Knicks reporting, and wanted to write it as I see it–also to document the haters so they can eat their words down the road–but everyone feel free to write whatever you feel about the knicks.
I may not be Alan Hahn, but together we are the Fixers!
If any of you guys know of another fellow fixer who has got a blog, let me know so I can post the link on this site. It is best that we each have a blog, that way if any blog gets too Isola for us, we have a network of Knick fans ready to come through like David Lee off the bench! Go to blogger, get a blog homies! Or just read this one, of course!
In the time being, here is a link to my knicks bike. Nothing much, but I did get it because of the Knicks Orange. I won’t go so far as to paint my honda civic that same color scheme, but I always wanted a bike to ride in the city that reflects my pride in the New York Knicks. I think at the time I posted it to fixed gear gallery, we must have been 9-17 or something like that, and NOBODY was at the garden, just a bunch of empty seats–same time they were booing Marbury for being out of shape due to the extensive sneaker tour.
Like the quote from Jerry Ferrara, “I’m a real knicks fan, I go down with the ship.” That is how I felt at the beginning of last year, that is how I feel right now. But we don’t have to worry about that, because this year is going to be different. We are going to win more, no doubt. We’ll let the haters worry about doubts.

What up Starbury! I think this would be the new spot.
Alan is a sellout. That’s Frank’s hatchet man.
The move is on!
Here’s my first offering.
What do you guys think of this wild idea I just got?
TRADE TALK WARNING:
Kwame Brown for Jared Jeffries and Jerome James.
Kwame’s got a bum ankle and a $10 million contract. When healthy, he’s an interesting talent. He can try to work himself back into shape throughout this year (like James does unsuccessful) and we can get rid of Jeffries (who could man their SF position in between Odom and Kobe) and James (who could be a solid back up for Mihm). Here’s the article I read that made me think of it. Check it out here
At best, Kwame works himself into shape and we sign him for cheap. At worst, he’s a bum like James is and his contract expires at the end of the year.
Win Win either way.
We can make this pop here. Just got to spread the word.
We can always heist all the links throughout the web and bring them here for all of our die hard Knick brethren.
African, thank you for visiting knicks defense, my man. We’ve had to go through two blogs to meet here, I am glad to see you here with the other true knick fans. Welcome!
BARF–
Kwame, really? he can probably block more shots than Jeffries or Jerome (Jerome was a great shot blocker in Seattle, don’t know what happened to him once he hit the east coast). That’s what we need, an mistake eraser so that players like Mardy or Jamal can gamble on steals and reading passing lanes. I can see it.
I feel bad for Jeffries if his minutes stay low because he gave up a starter’s position on the wizards to come play for Isiah.
Speaking of come play for isiah, what’s up with Doug Christie making those remarks about coming to NYK? Doesn’t he know we’ve got 20 guys on the roster at this point? When he was at his best in the league he was a full-court kind of guy, Isiah seems to want to play half-court with the starters. That second unit is going to fly though!
Barf, the KB trade might beneficial, because it appears RMorris is not ready for primetime. Get KB healthy and with his expiring contract he could be valuable property even if he is a bust. Interesting!
Fellas, I think this kid Chandler could turn in to something special and his game is quite polished and impactful in several areas (Rebounding, passing, weakside blocks, great hops, pro body). He is capable of doing the grunt work and possesses a good stroke and a sharp BBALL IQ. Earlier in the summer one of the FIXERS called him a shooting BALKMAN and they are right. I think this kid is earning some spot playing time and the best is yet to come.
Starburyfan you are a TRUEKNICKFAN….
Keep it POPPIN
Cooleyhigh, thanks my friend. I hear you on Chandler. He can shoot too, he was a steal. Nobody knew anything about this kid except Isiah. Good find. But I like Balk too! Do they play the same spot? Hopefully not.
perfect name for the site too sbfan. now that they are concentrating on defense in camp, the name falls right in line.
see i dont know what makes me think kwame would work here but his contract is the perfect size to package both jj’s. if he could be nursed to health slowly (which our deep roster would allow) he may be the bulky 2nd or 3rd option off the bench behind dlee and balkman. he qualifies as a big body and he’s mobile enough to play with zach or dlee or balkman. he’s so so on defense. i think it could work.
and if it doesnt, there’s always his expiring contract. and…the media would have a field day with the michael jordan connection. mj drafted kwame the bust and isiah is trying to give him a shot at a spot in the roster. there’s something in it for everybody. i can’t imagine another team offering more than that. and of course no picks at all.

An exodus of historic proportions were gonna need some life rafts to secure our foot hold but with enthusiam input and good takes this place oughta Shine
Barf:
Sounds like a great Idea. Cooley High emphasized the fact that this wil be his contract year, and that accounts for something,… meaning that he will most likely be playing for a good contract after his last years up. Sign me up for that deal homies.
Lastly, since I got other matters to attend to on the saturday of that Knicks practice can any of you heads who will attend the open practice take photos– if possible– and post a blog on your scouting of what you see.
Night fellas.
Orange and Blue,
I got your back. photos of the new open practice, I’ll have those.
I just found last year’s will post those in a few.
